I broke the screen on my cell phone and took it to the Cell Phone Lab for a repair. They promptly provided a fixed price quote for the repair and scheduling the drop off of my phone was easy to do. Their Lynnwood office is a bit weird and is located in a Creative Workspace building that has no customer parking. Every parking space that I saw was listed as "permit parking only". Fortunately I was able to get on-street parking on the street just west of the building. I felt that the cost of the repair was fair. All in all it was good service. read more

The service was speedy. I did, however, ask if the phone was $69 to repair since Yelp has this neat thing where you can compare prices for one service, and they confirmed it was $69 over the phone. I came to the shop, dropped off my phone, and the employees said I can come back at 6:30pm (it was around 5:45pm). They didn't take name which was a bit odd, and they didn't have me sign any papers. When my phone was done they said it was $89 because my phone is an iPhone 6s Plus. I was initially a bit curious about that situation, but I did figure $69 for iPhone 6s Plus was too good of a deal. Would highly recommend Cell Phone Lab. I learned that my iPhone X wasn't as water resistant as Apple claims it to be. My phone had condensation in the camera lens and it kept looping the Apple logo and was unusable. I called around a few shops and decided to take it to Jay. I'm glad I did, because he did a very thorough diagnosis. Unfortunately, I must have shorted something trying to get my phone to turn on, so parts needed to be ordered from China as they aren't usually stocked and it took about two weeks but he got my phone fixed! Water damage isn't as straight forward a repair as replacing the glass or battery and the parts aren't readily available to the public. Jay offered free diagnostic and then ordered the parts and said that if he can't fix it, there would be no charge. That's very generous considering he spent hours narrowing down the components needed and put parts on order without a deposit. I was told the cost for this type of repair then also told that if my phone required more work, I'd be called with the adjusted cost before moving forward. Initially I brought in an ipad mini 4 (battery) and iphone X (battery and screen). Both all original, both with the noted issues. Jay was able to give me a reasonable window on repair and when he would have the items back, same day. He did not disappoint and had both items to me within the window promised. Okay you're saying, this is what i would want. Now here comes were Jay separated himself, at least in my opinion. My son's ipad mini, which he uses for school kept suddenly dying with the no battery.
