This review is loooong overdue. I began my journey with FUN by Michelle years ago when I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal. I've done about 4 rounds of laser hair removal for the Brazilian areas (the MOST stubborn area no matter where you go!) and about finished my last few sessions of laser hair removal for my underarms and legs. Let me tell you, I am BEYOND happy with my results!! I'm not much into beauty and have 0 clue when it comes to skin care, makeup, beauty routines, etc. I just wanted to get to a point where I didn't have to shave since thick, dark hair like mine makes it a huge chore, and I was so. Over. It!! However, I was nervous at first since I have a low pain tolerance. Let me tell you, there is virtually no pain! Even if it gets a tad bit uncomfortable (think snapping a small rubbing band against skin), I let the team know, and they're able to adjust so I don't feel the discomfort. Anabel, Michelle, Suzy, Laura, and Betty are ALWAYS amazing to me. They're personable, professional, and always make me feel welcome! Pricing is always reasonable. Buyer beware! I went in for Xeomin for my forehead and shortly after receiving 30 units I looked like a heavy browed Neanderthal! I complained about my results approximately 6 days later and they gave me an appointment. Michelle herself saw me and added a little Xeomin to my upper forehead to lower my "Spock" looking eyebrows. The eyebrows did come down a little however Michelle said there wasn't anything she could do about my droopy forehead and the look of having small eyes. In fact first she offered to put filler in my face for an additional 900 bucks! After I said no then she brought out this "miracle" eye drops that would open my eyes up but it didn't do much of anything. My advice is to have someone other than the darker haired RN do your injections. She was pleasant but obviously unskilled or just new and didn't know what she was doing. I even got a second opinion from a local Doctor who confirmed my face looked odd and said only time will fix it. I had Xeomin here a few years ago and was totally happy with the results. An older lady did the injections back then. I was disappointed this time for sure and was also upset because when I started to really complain about the outcome Michelle kept saying she could not appreciate what I was talking about and denied anything was wrong with my face. So currently after 3 weeks my face has a nasty scowl at rest which upsets me because I'm a nurse and I bet my patients see me as Nurse Ratchet with my angry face! I have to rave about two treatments I had with Michelle. First I had the my ugly spider veins injected and what a difference. They are so much prettier and as they continue to heal the veins are still disappearing. The second treatment I had was lasering on my eyes. As I am approaching 52 my eyelids had started getting droopier. Michelle did this treatment on me that was quick and helped to tighten my skin, there was no downtime at all. JEAUVEAU- My review is solely on Jeauveau an alternative to Botox. So, on the recommendation of a friend who received this same treatment at this location, I decided to try it because she said they had a special for the month of February. I have been getting botox since 2009, and had been paying my regular physician $12 a unit. Well, when I called to make an appointment I was quoted $8 a unit, so I went ahead and made the appointment for the same day. I called twice within half an hour to ask a couple of questions and both times the receptionist quoted me $8 a unit. OFFICE EXPERIENCE- Upon arrival, I was seen within ten minutes and was introduced to the RN who would be administering the Jeauveau (Botox alternative). I was under the impression that I would be getting the injectables by their PA, but either way I thought well I drove 30 minutes I should give them a chance. We discussed how many units "I would need" I say this because I made the mistake of saying how much botox I usually receive, so the nurse said, "ok we'll do that!" Right after the assistant comes in to take payment (regular physician waits to until after procedure when I walk to the receptionist desk), THEN SHE SAID $8.50 A UNIT!! I discussed with her how just a couple of hours earlier I was quoted $8 a unit. Well that price was not honored, but again I drove that far and $8.50 still seemed like a good deal compared to what I normally pay. PROCEDURE- No numbing, no ice, nothing. Fine, I guess some places don't offer that. I felt like I was getting stabbed but it was over in about a minute!! Done and done! HUGE RED FLAG- They do not mix the toxins nor open the syringes in front of you!! They walk in with their syringes already filled with who knows what! Any reputable place will break the seal of their toxins and syringes right in front of you! RESULTS- Noticed results right away, however I know that it takes about ten days to see the final results. Well, next day I had BRUISING under my eyes, something I have never experienced in all the years I have gotten botox. A couple of days after that, one EYEBROW IS NOTICEABLY HIGHER THAN THE OTHER!!! I thought hopefully the other one will raise, but nope nothing yet. I still have a lot of movement in between my brows (frown lines) a week later, while other areas are frozen, like really frozen that it looks weird. My eyebrows look as if they're DROOPING and well I did not get the lift I am used to with the EXCEPTION of my left first half of the brow (that's right, only half of my brow closer to my frown lines raised). I also had it done under my eyes, and still have the fine lines I previously had, and usually those are the first to smooth out. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RETURNING - The RN (can't remember her name, but she had braces), is not skilled enough. Maybe others (like my friend who has never received botox anywhere else) have had better experiences, but me knowing what good botox injections look like, this place did not offer that to me. My fault because I should have known better, I should have researched this location and read previous reviews. This experience is going to be more expensive cause now I need to get more botox (at my regular location) to correct my funky brows lol. Don't just go off recommendations, do your own research. I will gladly pay $12 a unit for long lasting beautiful results administered by a board certified surgeon. UPDATE WITH PICTURES- Went to my Dr. and he was able to help with the unevenness of my brows, but wouldn't touch the tail of my right brow (your left when looking at the photo). As you can see there's a lump there that appears only when I try to flex or smile. I told him I didn't get Botox on the tail, but on my crows feet. He suspects that the Botox migrated due to too much saline added and causing tension on my brow. In other words, diluting the Botox! Too much saline causes Botox to move. This makes me so angry because these are our faces we are trusting these people with!!! UPSIDE- I take comfort in knowing these results will not last long. MY FRIEND CALLED ME AND HAD JEAUVEAU A MONTH AGO AND SAID SHE ALREADY NEEDS MORE.... HELLO!! LIKE WHY DIDN'T SHE SAY THIS BEFORE LOL!! 1 star for friendly service- 0 stars for procedure. TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU, DO NOT BE REELED IN BY THEIR ATTRACTIVE PRICES---- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! Eek! Methinks not! is absolutely right yelp! lol read more

I've waited 3 months before I left a review so I would be able to notice results or not. Unfortunately, after completing the laser facial there have been almost no changes. I went to get rid of discoloration from acne scars. Michelle stated she would put the laser on a higher frequency to get the quickest results. The office is nice and the staff were pleasant. I've been getting my lips done at fun by Michelle for over a year now and I've loved my results. I've had them done by both Katrina and Michelle and they've both been very helpful with explaining everything and making me feel comfortable. I haven't felt pressured to do more or buy more. I bought 20 units of Xeomin through Groupon. It was applied in my forehead. However, I had an allergic reaction and now my face is swollen on both of side of my cheeks and have excruciating pain in my face and have migraine headaches. I notified FUN by Michelle about the inflammation of my face and they deny the treatment of Xeomin was the cause of my condition. I went to the ER and regular medical doctor and they both said it was an allergic reaction I can not even explain how frustrated and disappointed I am! This was BY FAR the worst experience I have ever had! I am not a negative person and don't like writing reviews. Resubmitted since my original was deleted by Yelp. My face was scarred after receiving PRP laser treatment by Michelle. Full explanation: I have been to Michelle a total of three times. My last appointment was in January 2018 and I received a laser PRP treatment which was roughly $650. This was my first laser treatment at this location. I had laser hair removal done on my full legs, under arms and full bikini at another medical spa in Rancho Cucamonga about 4 years ago. There was no scarring or discoloration of the skin after 9 sessions of laser hair removal procedures. FUN by Michelle is always clean and the staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Michelle explains the treatments and what to expect during the healing process, also fully covering aftercare instructions and answering all of my questions. After the treatment, my face had the scabbing Michelle did advise me of. I tried not to look at my face too much as not to worry myself. After about two weeks there was a dime sized dark spot on my chin that was not clearing up. I contacted the office and an appointment to see Michelle was scheduled for the next day. Upon my arrival pictures were taken of my face and shown to Michelle. When Michelle came into the room to speak with me, she brought in three products and explained how they would help with fading the spot. She explained the products ranged in price from $90 - $250. I was a little taken back that after scarring my face she wanted to charge me upwards of an additional $250. I declined the purchase. She did give me a small sample of one of the lesser priced products (which I used for two weeks to no avail). I have since spoken with a dermatologist who advised I was burned by the laser which left a scar on my chin (this is the dark spot). Retinol creams are not strong enough (which is what Michelle was suggesting I purchase). It will require TCA peels and additional additional laser treatments which may fade the mark slightly but is likely it will remain to some extent. I did wait to write this review to see if the scarring would fade over a reasonable amount of time however, it remains same. read more

I guess i forgot to update =( I do want to say that I did have good results after about 6-8 treatments ( cant remember exactly how long it lasted) but now its been a couple years and it looks like I haven't had anything done at all! so my guess is it works well if you keep at it and it won't ever be completely permanent hair removal. Not sure if their lasers just dont work well or this is just how it is supposed to be? really unsure but I will need to go back because i have hair growth again with a vengeance and it has spread to the surrounding areas?? so strange!! I used to love this place, been going there for years. Finally scheduled an appointment for last week to start a package I had bought pre-Covid. I have a real hard time going out into public spaces, and deal with a lot of anxiety when going out. I wear a mask when ever I go out because I live with an older person with many different health factors that put her at high risk for COVID. I checked into the appointment and none of the employees were wearing a mask. It made me anxious but since they were behind the glass in the lobby, I was ok with that. I got called in for my appointment and the technician who asked me to remove my mask for my before pictures wasn't wearing a mask. I did as she asked, but the other whole time was mentally freaking out about her close proximity to me. It was quick and she went out and got the nurse. When the nurse, Katrina, walked in and wasn't wearing a mask I started to freak out. I was starting to have a panic attack at the thought of them being close to me in an enclosed space without masks. I asked Katrina if she could please put on a mask. I normally don't like to confront people and I was nervous and my words had a hard time coming out and I had to talk multiple times to try to not stutter. Well Katrina finally made out that I was asking her to wear a mask. She told me that she would not wear a mask and told me to reschedule with another technician for a later date. I honestly was in shock of the blatant rudeness of Katrina. I was still sitting down in the chair as she was basically at the door opening it to usher me out of the room. I am an understanding person and if she had attempted to actually have a conversation with me in regards to why she refused to wear a mask, I may have said ok. BUT there was no adult conversation just me being asked to reschedule and given a brief explanation as to her not being able to breath if she wore one as she opened the door so I could leave the examination room. I was so shocked. I went out into the lobby and make my next appointment more in auto pilot mode than anything. I got to my car and started to cry. I called once I got my composure and asked that my package be refunded due to the experience and rudeness I had just encountered. I was told by The person who answered the phone that I'd had to wait to speak to the office manager. I asked her name so I could know who I was speaking to and the name of the technician who attended me because I was so close to freaking out when she entered into the exam room that I didn't catch it. The person told me that her name was Katrina and I then I asked the name of the technician and she said Katrina. I then realized that I was speaking to person who just made me cry and I told her that she had been rude to me and she responded with "I don't think I was rude". I tried to talk and she just kept on talking over me telling how she hadn't been rude and was being dismissive by telling me to have a nice day. As if that attempt at manners would negate her rudeness and dismissive behaviors. I honestly am going to try to get my money back and not go back to that establishment. I rather spend my money at an establishment where I am treated with more dignity and where they at least attempt to understand that not everyone is ok not wearing a mask during a pandemic . read more
