    Braised Beef Noodle Soup
    Aletheia G.

Braised beef noodles was really delicious! Food stayed pretty warm and was still tasty, even after we went shopping first before I got to dig into it. Forgot to take the picture before I started working on it

Can't be the price tag for crab Rangoons were only $2.49

The Customer Service was phenomenal! I was blown away by their attention to detail. The food was amazing. I feel this restaurant does not get enough attention. I was so impressed.

We had a lovely dinner at Fun Chinese Cuisine tonight. We ordered one Braised Chicken Bowl with brown rice and one Crispy Tenderloin Bowl with their spicy sauce and fried rice. The braised chicken LITERALLY fell off the bone. Soft, juicy, and tender. So flavorful and not greasy. The crispy tenderloin had a perfect crispy fried breading on it and the fried rice was a nice pairing. The spicy sauce wasn't too spicy (probably could have been hotter for me) but everything was so flavorful and FRESH. We can't wait to go back and try more! Service was excellent, the person at the counter was polite and knowledgeable. Note that there is not very much room to sit so have a back up plan for taking out if it's busy inside. We sat at the round table and had a lovely time!

Perhaps the best Chinese I've ever had. So fresh and yummy. We ordered the crispy tenderloin on fried rice. The tenderloin was amazing but the fried rice was incredible. Chunks of pork, lots of scrambled egg and vegetables and so flavorful. Daughter ordered sesame chicken on lo mein noodles. Chicken was tender, sauce was delicious and lo mein everything you could ask for. When you order you pick your protein, your base (noodles or rice) and sauce (there are several). You could go there many times and never have the same thing twice. The crab Rangoon's were yummy and for 2.49, all you could ask for. We both ordered "smalls" and have enough for another meal. The to go bags are adorable as are the utensil packages. Everything about this place will take the place of Hy-Chi from now on. Get there soon! You won't regret it.

I really like the idea of this place but I don't know if it's well executed. My husband and I got there a little after 7:00 p.m. and it was pretty busy. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food. For a sit down restaurant that is acceptable. This is more of a fast/casual restaurant, however, so I feel like the wait time should have been way less than that. They really didn't have enough employees to keep up with the amount of customers they had waiting. You order at the counter and pay and then someone brings your food out to you when it's ready. The young girl at the counter was nice and friendly but she spoke too softly to hear her clearly. When my husband paid, the girl asked what amount of change he wanted back. We both stared at each other because we didn't know why she asked that. My husband finally told her he didn't know what she was asking and she just stared back at us. He told her he wanted all of the change back. We weren't sure if she was asking us to do the math for her or if we wanted to leave a tip. The whole situation was weird. There were three other groups of people waiting for their food ahead of us, plus a line of people waiting to pick up their carry out orders. They had two people cooking plus one person putting the orders together. I think they almost needed another cook to keep up with all the customers that were waiting. The other three groups of people looked like they had been waiting for a long time and seemed pretty unhappy about it. There were three tables and the place is pretty small so there isn't a lot of room for people to sit if they want to dine in. On the plus side, the food was pretty tasty. I got the braised pork and my husband got the braised beef. Mine was $8.95 and his was $11.95 plus $1 extra for noodles instead of rice. After I tasted my husband's noodles, I wished I had gotten them instead of the rice. They had a nice smoky flavor. They also give you sauces to go with your food if you want it. They had five different sauces to choose from and you could have all of them for free if you wanted. I got the spicy garlic sauce and the braised sauce. Both were good but the spicy garlic sauce was the yummiest. The portion sizes were really good. I thought this was a chain restaurant because I was impressed with how professional their website and packaging was. One thing I was really disappointed with, though, was how much excess packaging is used with their orders. With every order you get a small reusable plastic bag that the food comes in. I sure hope people are reusing those bags so they don't all end up in a landfill. The plastic silverware comes in a sealed heavy duty plastic wrapper, which seems kind of wasteful. I suppose it's more sanitary but I don't know why the silverware couldn't just be loose in containers near the counter so there was less waste. Overall, I really liked the food for what it was--tasty fast/casual Chinese food. But I feel like they need to do something about the long wait. This place is way out of the way for me, so I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. But if I were in the neighborhood, I might stop in again.

Food was authentic However it's more of a Togo place not much room to sit down or any service of that kind. The food is all serve in to go situation seems a bit costly and not good for the environment. The containers and bags were quite fancy though. Overall the food is good but taste seems neutral

Carry out bag. Nicest I've ever got from take out.

WOW is all I can say. Ordered online, and walked in to pick up my door right off the counter waiting for me. First thing I noticed was the giant smile on the facing behind the counter. Very warm welcome and truly seemed happy to be there serving food. Second thing I noticed were the nice takeout bags on the counter. Reusable bag? Nice. I ordered the Braised chicken on salad meal with a side of braised pork. Food was all fantastic. In fact, my only complaint about the entire lunch, was there was a little too much cilantro for me, be even that was east to overlook with the rest being so good. I can't wait to go back and try to beef and some of the apps.

This new Chinese option on the north side of Ankeny has a simplified menu that is very reasonably priced. Crab Rangoon and pot sticker appetizers are only $2.49 for 4 each. Using a 3 step ordering process, you can create a wide assortment of meals. Start with one of 5 protein options. Then add one of 5 base options. Lastly add one of 4 sauce options. Decide if you want a meal or bowl. That's it unless you want to add extra sides such as more protein or more base. Even the drinks are reasonably priced at $1.50 for a fountain drink. The braised pork and stir fried noodles and spicy garlic sauce was delicious. The braised beef and brown rice with braised sauce was cooked to perfection. Braised pork with white rice and spicy garlic sauce was a match made in heaven. And lastly the crispy tenderloin with stir fried noodles and spicy garlic sauce was a must try again. The only draw back is this place does not have much indoor seating. Just a couple of window tables. But for a take out place, this is a new go to restaurant.

Togo Bags - nice quality, almost too nice.

Hella good spot. Been there multiple times already. Ownership and Staff are inviting, friendly, and chatted with us a bit. We'll be there too many times for my bank account's liking ... but, I am sure Fun will have Fun with profits. Only seating is a bar with stools and you stare at the parking lot. I miss a good dish of Seaseme Chicken- just a personal favorite- so hope that can make the rotation. Strip Mall location. The big places next to it is Aldi and Kum n Go
