It might come as a surprise that a store like this produces a very solid cup of coffee. Tucked away in the back behind the register is a setup that yields a delicious brew by someone who clearly has lots of experience dialing in the coffee. I did not spend much time in the area but was very happy to have stopped by and talk with the owner and experience a delicious latte. She also deserves extra praise for letting me SAMPLE the coffee before taking it away! I've never had this kind of service from a coffee shop. While I was told a marvelous Americano can be had here, I opted for my usual latte and was not disappointed. I highly recommend getting your fix of java here if you're in the area.

They're friendly, warm, welcoming and share infectious passion for their business and educating people about the rocks they sell. What I love most about From The Ground Up is that their store encourages you to take your time and be present. It's so much fun and very relaxing to browse through their collection and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. They attract a really wonderful clientele and everyone I've ever met in this store has been interesting, kind, and excellent conversationalists.
