While checking out this strip, my daughter and I ran into this store. I'm a sucker for Hello Kitty so when she caught my eye through the front door, I knew I was going to have fun here. Walking in, I think the best way to describe this joint is chaotic. Chaotic in the sense that there's a ton of stuff shoved in a very small space. They have a little of everything here. It's quite.... interesting. You have trinkets, blind boxes, key chains and lingerie. The lingerie really threw me off honestly. It was the last thing I would expect from a store like this. We did find a couple things in the store to take home with us when we had back to Idaho. There is a 10 dollar min unless you are paying cash. The cashier is there to do her job so don't expect too much customer service. If you're looking for Sanrio type items than this is the joint to hit up. It is quite overwhelming trying to check everything out. As long as you're patient and is willing to take the time to check everything out than you should have fun for you! But for me, I did have fun looking at everything at first but the more I got into the store itself, it made me uncomfortable due to the cluttering of it. read more

Smiski has the telltale oily finish of a fake. Admittedly my guard was down but there were no obvious indicators until I opened it, the box is a pretty convincing dupe and it was even inside a foil bag. It's possible the owners don't know but still very disappointing as I would expect a hobby/enthusiast store to have legit items. If anyone was selling fake smiskis in Utah I would expect it to be those kiosk vendors at the mall, not this place. I guess life can be surprising. read more

When checking out Chinatown Market my eye caught Fun Store with its Anime filled windows. Two of my boys are huge fans so I stopped to see about finding them a few gifts to bring home. The door was locked and said it would open at 2pm. It was close so I went to shop in the market and would come back when done. Once outside I noticed they must've opened because there was now a table outside the door with clearanced items. The door was locked. What the heck? We waited a few moments and someone came out of the market, unlocked the door and let us inside. The store had so much stuff. While some really great things it was so over cluttered in a few areas I didn't even want to try and pick anything up. They do offer many anime figurines, tons of hello kitty and some Disney. Some prices were a bit overpriced to me, but I was able to find quite a few items for myself as well as my boys . I am kicking myself for not taking pics especially since I'm adding it here. The shop is very crowded, packed with items from floor to ceiling. It's definitely overwhelming but we found Sonny Angels there and we were so happy with our find. There are anime figures everywhere, Sanrio, and some Disney items as well. Little Knick-knacks, and also some huge figurines. It's overpriced, in my opinion, but we still go back as there are some good finds every now and then! Check it out! read more

I highly recommend dropping in if you've never been. The store has a lot of variety and something for everyone. The shop is an old house that has been repurposed into a fantastic space that exudes positive energy. I visited recently and was looking for something special for my best friend, who is a collector of stones and gems. I am not well-versed in stones, but I knew I wanted something that would signify our friendship/sisterhood. A lovely staff member jumped into action and curated a sampling of options for me to choose from. I was so grateful for their efforts to help me find just the right gift, and I fell in love with one of them-a watermelon tourmaline. They offered gift wrap options and made sure it was ready for my friend to love. While I was there, I interacted with a couple different staff members and they were so welcoming and helpful. I would love to spend hours in here, even just taking in all the good vibes and energy. I'll certainly be back when I need a power boost.

Capital City Antique Mall came up in my search (well there was another but they are closed on Tuesdays), and I was very pleased to find that they were in a large warehouse with plenty of vendors. That just means tons of cool stuff to scour through! And indeed there was plenty of artifacts and fun finds to take my time perusing! There were a few items that I wanted but couldn't purchase for the sake of space or other reasons, but they were absolutely beautiful. The photos I've shared below are only scratching the surface of the gamut of items that you can find at the antique mall. I ended up purchasing some small items to add to my shelf of collectibles at home, including my very first glass insulator. The staff are nice and everything is quite reasonably priced compared to CA antique stores. We will definitely be revisiting Capital City Antique Mall the next time we are in SLC!

In addition, searching for singles is tucked away so you have to use the computer in the very back of the store, which isn't well highlighted unless you ask. Everything is relatively priced at MSRP, so you won't be charged insane rates if you do find something you're looking for to add to your collection. I will say that their amount of card game supplies is very well equipped. If you ever need boxes or sleeves they have plenty! The used section was priced fairly, pretty in line with what I see from hobbyists on FB groups and marketplace.

Critical- Again, most of the clothes looked like they were just bought from a thrift store to be resold. Many prices weren't marked on racks. And cash only entrance, so I had to pull money out of the ATM, which costed me more than the $3 admission fee.

First, they charge an admission fee. Everything is also very spread out among the gateway buildings and outside areas. Many more booths with clothing that was more flea and less vintagey. Hardly any really unique booths. A few of the older vendors you might recognize, but the vibe is just very different.

I went to grab some grasses and Russian sage for my yard and the staff was really helpful and kind. The garden itself is well laid out and well maintained. Parking was plentiful and everyone I interacted with was more than helpful. I even called a month after planting my Russian sage and the staff was helpful in telling me how to care for it. They also have a cool butterfly tent! That was really fun to walk through. It's small but really cool!
