I had a very negative experience at this location. I originally came in to purchase parts, but while waiting, my wife and I looked at a fifth wheel priced around $80,000 and were seriously considering buying it. While we were inside the trailer, a forklift driver began honking repeatedly. When we came outside, he was yelling at me about where my car was parked, even though there were no clear signs or barriers indicating I couldn't park there. I spoke with management about the situation. They were polite, but no meaningful action appeared to be taken. After that, the same employee continued watching us closely and following us around the lot, which made us uncomfortable. The situation escalated further when he approached me again, yelling and acting in an aggressive and confrontational manner. Based on his behavior and the way he approached me, I felt like he was attempting to provoke a physical altercation. At that point, there was no management present to step in or de-escalate the situation. As a potential customer prepared to make a major purchase, this was unacceptable and caused me to leave and decide not to do business here. I will say the parts department was excellent--Preston was professional and helpful from the first call through pickup. Unfortunately, the overall experience with other staff and lack of management response overshadowed that. UPDATE: After posting my original review about my experience here, I noticed a sudden surge of five-star reviews that do not reflect what I personally experienced. I encourage anyone considering doing business here to read through the reviews carefully and look for detailed, specific customer experiences versus short or vague praise. Worst experience of my life dealing with Funtown Rv, Denton & Funtown RV Hewitt. Hewitt Funtown didnt make an effort to show the 5th wheels & did not know anything about a 5th wheel hauling it or using it. I had to ask them to please get a cord to hook it up for power as they were not willing to show us how anything was working. Funtown Denton kept our trailer for 6 mths, as our 1st trip on vacation not 1 thing worked except the AC unit, toilet & water (had a water leak too). Repair was never completed each time we came to pick it up. There was no communication with them, no calls no emails, no texts. There was blue tape on everything that needed repair or replacement, had 2 pages of issues. Jesse at Denton Funtown RV, never followed up with us on warranty with Lippert, didnt care in the least to respond to our request or concerns. If I cld I'd give no stars, I would. This went on for eleven months, decided to fix it ouselves & move on. I would never recommend alnll97ny Funtown RV to anyone unless you have a lot of patience & alot of time to invest & money. My husband and I did a lot of research before we decided to buy an RV. Our original plan was to buy used because there are a lot of pandemic RVs on the market now, but we just didn't find the one we wanted. So we tried one dealership and had to deal with the hard sell. ("I'm gonna sell you more RV than you need or than your truck can pull", garbage) and we were pretty frustrated. Then we came to Funtown RV. Jason Floyd was a breath of fresh air. He found options for us that were within our guidelines, and he didn't try to go over. One of our concerns was making sure to get an RV that wouldn't damage our truck while towing it, so we wanted to stay strictly within the guidelines for towing capacity. Jason found us several to look at and we ended up buying a 2025 Rockwood. Austin did our walk-through, and he was very thorough and knowledgeable. (Also, he was just a really nice young man.) The process was quick, straightforward, fun and within 24 hours we're driving away with our camper. Our entire experience at Funtown RV was stellar. If we ever decide to trade in, we know where we'll be going. Not everybody shoots straight out there, but these guys do. Great experience. read more

Very disappointed with the service of picking up my 5th wheel. Landon Cole was great salesman. The 5th wheel was supposed to have been sprayed with ceramic coating on the outside and the inside sanitized. Because that is part of the Platinum coverage I purchased. Their is Decals all over, including the shipping decal and streaks all over very dirty on outside, black around windows. Top was very very dirty and was holding that's the way they look. In side was sweept but Decals on the bathroom mirror, and Kitchen sink dirty, Have no idea if anything is going to leak. Was never demonstrated. read more

I have to echo some reviews left by others. It's all about the sale. After that, you are on your own. When I went to pick up our $40,000 RV, the slide was not cooperating. It chose to stay out instead of sliding back in. I acknowledged that "these things happen" and chose to go with the flow. Though I asked for nothing, I was promised a $100 WinStar gift card, a $200 merchandise credit that would "be on my account whenever I needed it", and two nights at the WinStar RV park. Keep in mind, I asked for none of this. I was told that the "big boss" was on site that day and they wanted to make sure I was taken care of. They finally advised that a part was needed which would take 2-4 weeks to get. The repair was never made. The very first time we took the camper out, the kitchen faucet self destructed the moment I connected the water. I took the defective faucet to the service counter, explained that the faucet was defective, that this was my first water connection since we purchased it (four months earlier) only to be railed on by three different service guys who all made it very clear that I had failed to properly winterize the unit?! After arguing for too long without ever getting acknowledgment that this should be a warranty repair, I finally gave up and decided to just buy the replacement. When I mentioned the $200 credit, eyes rolled!! I later brought the camper in to have multiple quality issues addressed. After hearing nothing for weeks, I finally called to check the status of my repair only to find that the person I met with was gone, and there was no record of me ever being there! I think I could write a book on how many lies and broken promises I've endured at the hands of FunTown RV. So I will wrap it up with this: The aforementioned faucet was placed on a stack of identical faucets which had been brought in with the same complaint. My long list of repairs was never addressed. A few months went by and I found the receipt where I had paid almost $200 for the replacement faucet. I mailed the receipt to the dealer along with a letter explaining the issue. I asked that they do the right thing and refund the money for this item that should have been covered under warranty. I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM! Everyone is super nice and even mildly attentive until you buy the unit. Then you're dead to them. read more

Going in to look at and buy their customer service is great! But thats were it ends. We bought a East to West unit...it's the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. We pipeline so I know about campers and this thing is the cheapest made rv I've ever seen. My husband brought it home and they forgot to lock the shower door it shattered everywhere. I spent a month trying to get it fixed they always wanted me to find someone and me to call them to fix it. Finally after many many y conversations they came and fixed it. My husband took it to a job for 2 weeks and sooooo much crap is messed up! Doors don't shut, screws in floor, washer leaks, slides don't fit right and leak, trim came off on the outside during the trip, crap contact paper peeling up, closet door frame falling apart, pantry door doesn't fit or shut right and the latch was glued in and just a big mess! I could go on but I'm sure you get the idea. We told them we needed theses things fixed and was told 3 months out before they could get us in! I'm sure their busy because their product is CRAP! I just bought a new 2023 forest river travel trailer from fun town. Had it hauled to the rv park for 300 bucks. Only had it a couple of weeks and find out the tub is leaking. I go to fun town to the service department just to be told i can pay 300 dollars and have it brought back in and be homeless for a couple of weeks or I can pay a tech to come and fix it for alot of money i dont have. We found the perfect place. But we can't move there untill the end of May.we sold our home The 1st week of February. SO we back to Fun Time . We couldn't believe one of guys remembered us after all these years.The staff helped us so much. The driver that was suppose to deliver our 5th wheel to the RV for us had canceled because of the bad weather. But kip and David delivered and helped set it up They did this on the first day of the worst snowstorm here in Texas. They have evev called us through this horrible storm. The bedroom slide had all but two of the seals missing so consequently they all had to be replaced but the slide is still leaking so we are having to pay to have a slide topper installed. Then there was a leak coming from the kitchen roof now with this storm that we are going through now there is water leaking everywhere. I have an insurance claim in to have the whole roof replaced as the membrane is torn and parts of it the deck has gone mushy. Then when we picked up the rig one of the windows was broken which they was going to replace we are still waiting. The extended warranty they sold me when I bought the rig sucked I canceled it. The warranty company would only pay $500 and I would have to pay the rest that total and utter BS. If your looking for a trailer of any description stay away from fun town. read more

This place is a damn joke.. purchased a brand new 2022 rv have been having problems with it ever since we first got it... have called fun town to see if they can get it fixed never made the effort. They said they would also even try getting someone to come to us but that was it... we have over a year with the damn rv & we've been having problems with it ever since never did anything about it at the time because we didn't have the correct vehicle to pull it... MIND YOU these people don't give a damn about anything just if they get their sells or commission however it works there. Because they even LIED to us saying that the single cab truck my husband had could pull the rv... coming to find out that we could've flipped over with the whole rv just because they wanted to sell... we have a leaking in the propane gas pipe, the damn carbon monoxide alarm never stops beeping especially in the middle of the night... I did call the fire dpt the first time it ever happened because I was scared coming to find out there was nothing the alarm just goes off whenever it wants, our first night with the rv the ac was POURING out water... our outlets at the moment don't even freaking work... the heater doesn't work either... & I can go on & on they even also said it was wether proof NOPE we are in New Mexico at the moment with frozen f********* water... fun town has made our first time rv experience HORRIBLE we will never forget this fun town... My rating was a 5 upon purchasing.....now 2 months later and 2 trips out - we have a leaking shower, and slide won't fully extend. Called for service (mid April) and was told we couldn't get it in until June. To have it fixed in June, we would need to drive it over an hour away, leave it to be checked and then have to bring it home until they can get it fixed (or pay a "storage" fee). We were shocked and upset by the lack professionalism we encountered with FunTown Service Center. I am starting to think that once the sale is complete, the customer service declines. We are just hoping that we can get it fixed, reimbursed from the warranty company and be able to use it this summer. Definitely will shop around other places when it's time to upgrade/trade-in. read more

***UPDATE 08/13/17*** We still love our trailer, however, when we picked it up and we did our walk-through there was a burned out LED light strip underneath the awning, they said no problem they can order the parts, and replace it, I asked them to ship them to me and I would just do the replacement myself, technically competent at all. Well that was on June 9 it's been over two months since we picked up our trailer and despite repeated calls to ask for the parts, being told that the parts were in, and being asked to pay for the parts to be shipped, and then being told again that the parts are in and they were gonna be shipped. I still have not received the LED light strip that was burned out when I picked up my brand new trailer so I'm gonna have to back down the stars and will continue to do so until I get my parts. 06/09/17: My wife Amy and I just completed our first RV (Travel Trailer) purchase with FunTown in Denton. Although I think the name is a little hokey, the service and professionalism of the staff is without equal. My wife and I started looking about three weeks ago and John Mitchell, one of the salesman, did an awesome job of showing us our options and helping us select a unit that was right for us. We stayed in our budget, we got a great unit a Tracer Air 231, with all the features that we wanted, for a price we wanted to pay. We picked up the unit today and the financing was easy and no hassle, and Terry Ingle the PDS supervisor walked us through our unit correct it a couple of minor problems with it (electrical), and got the parts ordered for the burnt out LED strip light in the awning, and had a small issue with the battery circuit fixed on the spot. These units are so complicated and electrically integrated that issues are to be expected and are coming, I also purchased a sway control hitch and a brake controller which they installed on my truck quick and fast, in fact it was done before the paperwork was. After the walk-through Terry and John showed me how to use and set up the trailer sway control hitch for my truck and this unit, we checked the level and everything was right, and we were ready to go. This man welcomed me in of course, and after we spoke he shared experience with me and helped educate me on helping make a selection on the RV that would best be fit for me. He helped supply multiple options below my price range, the best bang for my buck, and those just above my price range that would fully accommodate my champagne taste on a beer budget. This man sent me all these options after hours for him, and then took a FULL DAY mind you, ON HIS DAY OFF OF WORK. to go out of his way down to the Cleburne branch with me. That would then take part of his commission on a sale just for shopping down there. Anyways, he spent the full time explaining where I should be paying attention on the structure of the trailer, how to accommodate guests and overall experience for myself. Wish I could leave a negative 5 stars. This place is a joke. Purchased a 2023 forest river 42 view brand new. At the time of purchase it had a rear ac issue. They claimed they would fix it. When we got it delivered a week later after purchasing. Rear ac still did not work properly. The first night we stayed in it it had two leaks. Also come to find out it has two thermostats in the unit. One of the thermostats is suppose to have a heat setting which it does not. I purchased a extended warranty to have someone come and service this camper I purchased I was told I was responsible for all repairs and would be re endorsed after repairs was made. Purchasing a brand new unit paying 74k plus and putting 15 thousand down you would think they would have some respect to send someone out to check free of charge no questions asked. I'm very disappointed in this camper. And the way the managers have handled this process. I would never recommend this place. Nor forest river to anyone. Our experience with Fun Town RV of Denton was anything but FUN! We found the exact model of travel trailer we wanted to purchase on their site, but their listing was outdated. They had to order the unit for us, and said it would take two to three weeks to arrive. We were patient. SIX weeks later, we had to hunt our salesman, Ken Whiting, down for updates... When would it be in? Sumer is half over, etc. Finally, the unit arrived. We scheduled a Saturday appointment to see the unit for the first time, discuss pricing, and hopefully depart with a new trailer. We were an easy, all-cash sale, and we expected the bare minimum of customer service. Upon arrival, they seemed shocked that we would want to look at/inside the trailer before giving them our money. They rushed us through a quick tour. They led us to their finance manager, who had a stack of papers ready for us to sign and extras they were eager to upsell us on. When we saw the unit in March, it was listed nearly $4,000 less than the price on their final bill of sale. We questioned this, and they said, "Well, it's more expensive now." We asked to speak to the Sales Manager, who would not reveal his name to us, and he proceeded to "pull our call tapes," text me simply a period from our sales agent's phone to remind me of our text conversations, and came back to us saying, "On (such an such a date) at 3:34 p.m., you replied that you received the bill of sale." Of course I did. I also know bills of sales are editable and negotiable, like in any major automobile or RV purchase. Nope, not at Funtown. After being incredibly rude for suggesting that we might not know how to receive texts -- yeah, seriously -- he said there was absolutely no negotiation in price, no wiggle room on even the extended warranty, and that we should "just throw the balance on a credit card." The manager was an absolute TOOL and one of the most immature, unexperienced, and rudest people I have ever encountered. This was right out of the gate... We hadn't even discussed add-ons or service contracts. We new we wouldn't leave that place without at least an extra $5,000 tacked onto the price, and being treated like garbage to boot. My husband finally said, "We're not going to be treated like this," and we walked out on the "deal." To make matters worse, we had put a $1,000 deposit down on the unit. After Ken repeatedly assured me that I would receive a refund immediately, it took THREE WEEKS of me calling him almost every other day to get it processed. They weren't ever going to do it, because he didn't even have my credit card information on file when they finally processed the refund. I am so glad we walked away from this shady dealer, and I can't imagine what years of a continued service relationship would be like with how they do business. We went elsewhere down the road and found an awesome dealer who has truly shown care and excellent customer service to us when we purchased from them (Outback RV, Denton). Run and run fast from Funtown. I promise, they aren't as fun as they claim to be. read more

We purchased a brand new RV that immediately had problems as the slide would not operate, rendering the RV useless. Getting in contact with the dealer is a true challenge, as you go through a dispatch service and more times than not, they cannot connect you to anyone at the dealer as they are unavailable. The manager and sales team are completely non-responsive after the RV leaves the lot, as they don't reply to email and you can't connect by phone. I've finally connected with the service department who tells me they are 70+ days out for service. The Cleburne location may be able to help me in about 50 days if I want to drive the 1.5 hrs to drop it off there. Let's hope I can get this thing serviced w/in my 1 year warranty- it sure seems like Fun Town has a strategy of playing hard to get.. stalling until that warranty is expired. Stay away. BTW... Forest River customer service is no better.. they built this POS and you cannot connect with them either. Terrible experience... stay away! read more

We went in for some accessories for our travel trailer and as soon as we walked in we were greeted and helped out by Danny, the General Manager of the store. During our visit, Danny stayed with us and helped us with the accessories that we needed and due to the customer service that we were receiving while we were there we decided to get a quote on our travel trailer for possible trade-in ,which came in several thousand dollars higher than the last dealership we had give us a trade appraisal. As someone who has over a decade of management experience in the car business, I have learned that some of the best general managers are the ones that will come out of their office and take time to work directly with a customer. It is honestly something you do not see every day. We will be back very soon to trade in our travel trailer. read more

Purchased a 2018 forest river wildwood from this location. Come to find out it has powderpost beetles. Just like termites. I've contacted both funtown and forest river. They feel it's best to rip apart my rv cabinets. Fumigate and hope for best. Orkin has told me it will have to be done over and over as the beetles appear . I'm fumed. When I brought in my travel trailer a few days later, I was told it would be 3 months. Turns out that Janice works in Cleburne and the phone number listed for Denton actually answers in Cleburne. I have been very pleased with the process until today. I did my research, knew what I wanted/needed, and had a salesman that delivered. where the problem comes in is my unit came with a washer and dryer that was specified to be new and unused, but was assured they will do a walk through to make sure everything works on it. I wanted to do my own walk through and wasn't permitted. True enough everything was good accept the washer. I bought my unit on a Tuesday and alerted them to the issue in the same week that Sunday- ended up having to have a whirlpool technician come out due to the filter pump. When it came time for reimbursement, and after 4 discussions, two weeks after the first one, was told it was sold as is and they would need approval to reimburse me. What have you been doing the last two weeks? Why wasn't it sold as is then? Be ware of their sales tactics as I did everything a buyer can do to protect myself, and still left paying more. read more

Do not shop here. There is no service after the sale. They take your stuff, the service department damages more than they fix. I have a 1.5 year old NEW RV that has NEVER been 100%. Beware of the walkthrough as they will knowingly do things that make you think things function when they clearly don't. I was in for service and upon taking it out again I found parts were stolen off of my RV.
