This place was reminiscent of the arcades I grew up in. It was spacious, clean, and had plenty to play. It still has the feel of arcades from years past despite being new and current. It hit me with a great feeling of nostalgia walking into this place, and it brought me back to my childhood. Finding a Zoltar here was awesome! We also enjoyed the shooting gallery in the back. Fun place to visit while waiting for a dinner reservation, or after visiting house of Frankenstein. Also great on a rainy day. Recommended! read more

We appreciated that this arcade was open during our February break when few other things were in Lake George when we went. The place was clean, well kept and had a lot of variety to the games. Used to visit this arcade when I was a little kid, so returning was extremely nostalgic. And since I returned now that I'm a Yelper, I get to write about it! And now that I think about it, there's not much to write. It's a standard arcade that I hope survives the dying industry, especially since Lake George has such a small population. For $25, I spent a couple hours here with my brother, recreating our childhood of playing skeeball, air hockey, Wheel of Fortune, Pac-Man, the blingey bonus game, the shooter game, the claw prize game, the basketball game, and more. We even got a few cute prizes, including a rubber ducky from the claw machine and a teddy panda from the redemption counter! So lucky my brother is an engineer and a gamer, not to mention tall, because I could never score all those baskets! They've digitized the place since I last visited. I don't know how I feel about this, because I used to love counting all my little tickets... just something so sweet about that situation. But I get that they probably wanted to save paper and money - bittersweet, though. FWA is a well-maintained arcade that's clean, spacious, well lit, and has that small-town feel. It's an affordable place to spend with your children or siblings for a night and have some family-friendly fun. read more

During the off season, I came here. But I do wish it was open longer. It was only open from 3p-6p. It's a decent size arcade with redemption games, air hockey, guitar hero, speedball ect. type boardwalk games. With 3 arcades in the area, this was the only ne open durong thos season. Can't spend a very long time here but it will entertain people who like to play games. Like other arcade games, all your credits and tickets are on an arcade card you purchase. read more

I just love arcades, and if you don't for some reason, you probably didn't grow up with one before. It was always the cool place to hangout, if there was no mall around. Fun World Arcade is where you will find just about everyone on weekends at Lake George. Family fun begins here, as well as some friendly competition with your significant other; we're that couple! Whether it's all about the UFO catchers, or the tickets, this is a great place to beat the heat and kill some time before or after dinner. The staff is always pretty helpful, especially when a machine is having technical issues. They now use video game points cards, so you'll have to convert your quarters and bills for gaming points. I personally like using quarters, but this is the way to the future. Very clean and brightly lit, this is a safe, fun, and friendly place and should be on your Lake George hit list! read more

Best arcade on the strip in my opinion. They digitized the payment process so everything is on a card which makes it WAY easier. This is a pretty generic arcade right at the start of the more heavily traveled portion of Canada St. This year they've switched to a card system, both for game credit & tickets earned. I loved it for the money part, but my youngest son really missed the tickets (He honestly liked hoarding them even more than trading them for prizes.) The prices are cheaper than the other 2 main options in town, and it has a slightly more open design, making navigating the place with a stroller possible. Games seem generally well maintained. The prize counter seems understaffed a lot of the time, and lines can slow to a crawl when It's busy. All in all, not a bad place to drop a few bucks to keep the kids happy and occupied for awhile. read more

My sister and I came here on a Saturday night, around 10 pm and it was so empty! We practically had the whole place to ourselves. You have to load money onto your card to play the games. We only loaded $10 which went a long way. The air hockey tables were all out of order (big bummer)! But I did enjoy the racing games and PacMan. I forgot the name but a game with clowns was not working when we swiped our card, the worker gave us credit and got the machine working for us. Big yay! read more

I must agree with S H. that Lake George is full of arcades but my little 7-year-old nephew enjoys this one the most. He went on most of the motor vehicle rides while my boyfriend and I played the machine games to try and win 'em tickets for prizes. My boyfriend spent $10.00 of quarters and received 206 tickets and won me a SHOT GLASS which was very sweet of him. He's such a PRO in arcade games. I can't wait to go back to spend a fun time with my loved ones. The smile on everyone's face is priceless! read more

Come to the most beautiful place in North America and go into a gaming arcade. I fear for the millennial's and the generations after that. While it's a little bit of a flashback for me to Ocean City's boardwalk being at a hot sandy beach is not the same as LG NY. The Establishment seems to be dying it's not very well kept up. read more

First off I love the new games.....but the air hockey table which I usually love were WAY TOO CLOSE and it was difficult to have a good time. Next a decent amount of the games were quote-unquote out of service. Walking around the lake George area my husband and I decided to test out the arcade. There are a few arcades within a couple blocks of each other that all have the same games. Skeeball, deal or no deal, basketball, big Bertha, ect. For a bunch of "kids" in their mid twenties we had a fun 30 minutes in here! :) read more

Typical arcade. Most games are .50 and up. Very few .25 games. We've been here a few times and my children always have fun. It gets hot but not too bad. They seem to have helpful staff whenever we had a problem with a machine. We'll keep coming back but not as often as we would if they had .25 games. read more

The update has completely ruined this place. The card swipe is completely unethical and they removed all of the old school games that many older people relied on them for fun while their children went and played. Everything is extremely expensive and just walking in it turns into worrying about spending hundreds of dollars instead of just having some good old fashioned fun with your family. This is a terrible place to take anybody family or friend. The place has turned from great old family fun to complete and utter trash. Overall I think this place should be closed or remodeled. I would never spend a dime here again. After arriving late last night we came up to the arcade around 10pm and was told that the arcade was in the process of closing. However it was interesting to see there was another couple still playing one of the games. We came back here again this afternoon around 2pm. The arcade was fairly full and my kids had a great time. The only reason why I am giving this place 1 astar is due to the blatant racist staff member that was extremely rude to my family and I when we went to pick up a prize. Due to his disgusting attitude, my husband and I will NEVER spend another dime there when we come back next year for our annual family vacation. I have been coming to Lake George since I was a child. My family has a house here. It had been a long time since I'd visited this arcade, but I took my daughters yesterday, and we had a blast! The staff was upbeat, friendly, and helpful. There was an issue with one of the machines, which interrupted our game, and the gentleman who was working there swiped his card so that we could play on another machine until the first machine rebooted. My daughter won a basketball on the claw game, and the same gentleman made sure it was completely inflated for her. I thought the prices were fair. It was not too expensive. We received 40 credits for $10. I'm no mathematician, but I think that comes out to a quarter a credit. Most of the machines were two credits, and the machines that cost more to play, were still reasonably marked. The card system is also convenient. We didn't have to carry around tokens or bother with huge strands of tickets. The tickets were added directly to the card, and each time you swipe your card, the machine displays the remaining credits. I will definitely be coming back here again! This is my favorite of the local arcades. Their hours are good, late nights during the summer, and often open on weekends in the offseason if there is something going on in town. I enjoy a lot of the ticket games. But they have a few old school games, some shooting games that are fun, pinball, all the arcade classics. They now have a laser maze. My children also have fun here with the ski ball, and some of the kids games and rides or prize machines. Can keep occupied there for an hour or two if we wanted. They usually walk away with a prize or two. Some of the machines are usually down for maintenance, or just look like they haven't worked in a long time. But the attendants are helpful, can get quite busy during peak times, but its one of my favorite places in the village whether its just for a few minutes after work to unwind, or a longer visit. read more

First off, if you don't enjoy a good game of skee-ball, there's probably something wrong with you. I always enjoy pumping quarter after quarter into this game and make quite the sorry attempt at finessing the ball into the 50 slot. Oh, nostalgia! Fun World used to be a lot of fun but they now switched to some credit card system where you have to put at least $5 on a card they supply and you can no longer go in and drop a few quarters in a game. There are also no more tickets coming out of the machines which was so much fun for the kids, rather the points go on the game card. The kids have no idea when they win or how much they win. I predict they lose money this summer. I hope they switch back as I always enjoy visiting with my children and other families. read more

Lake George is full of arcades. I like this one for a few reasons. First of all, they take quarters. Most of the arcades in the area require you to get tokens, which is really a pain. Most of the games are a quarter, with the exception of a few that are 50 cents. I went there a couple of times, and both times it wasn't crowded. The games are really fun, and even though I'm not a kid, I did enjoy earning a slinky and a deck of cards :). read more
