I first visited Jason a little over a year ago for back pain that was unbearable but had lived with for many years. Little did I know that he'd become an instrumental part in helping my entire body overcoming whatever life throws at me. From back spasms to neck and shoulder pain, he can always squeeze me in within a day (he stayed late to see me one day due to my pain) and takes care of the pain in one session. He's extremely knowledgeable in his field and I love his individual approach to aiding you in your needs. While other places have given me a print out of typical exercises and stretches I can do, Jason goes above and beyond and emails you very targeted exercises to practice till the next time you meet. I've always thought I had good form while performing exercises, but Jason is so tuned in to your body that he can spot the smallest shifts, making all the difference. He's got a great personality and I always enjoy my time there. Dr. Fidler is one of the best. Been seeing various chiros over the past 15 years due to my own inability to stretch well, maintain decent posture throughout the day, and general laziness. Working from home was really doing a number on my back and neck pain, so I decided now was the time to really try to fix it for good. I went once a week for about 6 weeks and can honestly say that I received more guidance for long term maintenance & care than I ever have from any chiro, doctor, or trainer. Though he was out of network for my insurance, I think it was well worth the cost. As others have mentioned, Dr. Fidler follows up appointments with an email detailing out what was discussed with links to videos & photos to jog your memory. I CAN WALK AGAIN: I WFH'd way too hard (zooming from soft chair all day, every day) during the first Covid shutdown, and injured my lower back. Six months ago I could not walk six blocks to the subway. Six weeks ago I had to use a car service to get to my fist session with Dr Fidler. Just now I walked briskly to (and from) my sixth session! I wish I could say it was a miracle, but it was focused sessions with Fidler each week, and lots of homework in between. Each session starts with adjustments (which take some strength and skill), and then transitions to movements and exercises (which take deep knowledge of anatomy and crazy attention to detail). It is in these movement sessions that each next therapeutic goal is identified, explained, and translated into movements I can do at home until the next visit. Do not think about it. I've had an extremely positive experience with Dr. Fidler. I have been to probably a dozen chiros (in different cities) over the years and he is in my top 2. Time will tell if he takes the top spot ;) First, Dr. J is not "just" a chiro, he's given me the tools to improve my back/neck/shoulder pain in between adjustments. I always feel Fantastic after an appointment. But adjustments only last so long, so having a daily routine to work on my muscle issues at home has helped so much more than any other treatment I've tried (massage, adjustment-only chiro, yoga, etc.). I can feel the improvements building over time from the first visit, whereas before it's taken weeks of treatment to see results for more than a day or two. Second, he got me through the Bar exam. 10-12 hours a day hunched over a computer/reading was destroying my neck. Beyond working on the physical discomfort, Dr. J did a workspace evaluation and taught me different stretches and positions I used to keep my back & neck comfy during the 16 hour exam. Cost here is super reasonable, but honestly I would have paid anything for his help to improve my test performance (shooting neck pain is distracting to say the least - and I had zero. Amazing.) Lastly, I hadn't been to a chiro with his office in a gym before and didn't know what it would be like. It's great! All that equipment available so he can actually show you what to do, not just tell you. After each appointment you'll get a review of what you learned with pictures so you can keep it up yourself. I've never had a chiro do that, it's more a hybrid of chiro-physical therapy-mobility work which is WAY more effective. Plus seeing crossfitters on my way in is motivation to get my butt to the gym - man they are strong! I have never tried cross fit but that didn't matter at all. Dr. J works with where you're at and your particular lifestyle. He never had unrealistic expectations of changing my behaviors (um, 10 hours a day at the computer is obviously bad for you, but he didn't tell me I had to stop!), just suggestions on how to make it work. tl;dr: One of the best chiros I've tried. Tools to work on your pain at home between appointments. Great price, great attitude, great results. Just don't steal my appointment time :P read more

About a year ago I visited Jason with such excruciating back pain I could barely lift my left foot 2 inches off the ground. Im only rating Dr. Fidler 5 because 10 starts is not an option! I first met Dr. Fidler last summer, I had strained my neck and was having shooting pain down my arms. After Accessing me he then adjusted me. After one session the pain stopped. I made a follow up appoint and he started showing me all my weak areas in my body that I had not realized were weak, and started teaching me the proper techniques to correct them. Dr Fidler is not your typical "back cracker" and instead an impactful multi-modality rehab therapist. He highly knowledgeable and my seven weeks so far under his care have resulted in a huge improvement in my quality of life! When I first visited, I had been suffering from very limited range of motion in my neck, along with severe "neck headaches" similar to migraines. Since beginning treatment, I have almost entirely restored my range of motion in my neck and have had zero headaches. After going through months of mysterious lower back and knee pain that resulted from recreational strength training, Dr. Fidler was able to get me back under the barbell in little time. Dr. Fidler assessed my movement, and tracked down the muscular imbalances that resulted in my injuries. I was in a boat accident that left my leg fractured in 2 places. I was in a cast for 5 months, then after that didn't work I had surgery. My leg is now made up of carbon fiber and titanium. It was a slow process to walk again. I am both stubborn and motivated so it happened quickly but too fast. I just made my limp OK, and my ability to not run, OK. It wasn't. Today was my last day with doc fidler as I head back to Atlanta and la for shooting, my back was super jacked up and hurting and the left side was completely swollen, while it's still hurts and it's a slow healing process I have to say Doc fidler has kept me up and running and well and probably healed about 75 percent. He took the time to really understand my issues and did an extensive diagnostic process where he spent twice or three times the time I normally get at a doctor's office. One session with Dr. Fidler made it possible to walk pain-free for the first time since the problem started. I picked Dr. Fidler to treat my knee pain because of all the 5 star reviews on Yelp. Despite stating on his website that he is willing to work with most insurance companies (mine included), Dr. Fidler refused to work with mine because it is "too much work". He did, however, promise to make my appointment worth the high out-of-pocket cost with a thorough movement assessment. I was very clear about the reason for the visit (knee pain) and very transparent about my medical history. Throughout the visit, Dr. Fidler repeatedly proclaimed things about my body that I already knew (and actually shared with him myself). Instead of focusing on my knee pain, he continuously named serious potential problems with other areas of my body that he is frankly not qualified to diagnosis. He then insisted that he could cure my knee pain walking up stairs by teaching me how to walk up stairs correctly, which I transparently let him know I did not believe. He waited until the very end of the visit to inform me that he was not equipped to provide the passive care (i.e. ultrasound, massage) that my current injury required and made the referral to another physical therapist. This is an assessment he should have been able to make within the first 15 minutes of my visit and issued a partial refund. I do believe that he is very knowledgable in his field and much of the information he provided was factually correct (although he clearly was not prepared to work with my body type). However, he severely underestimated the breadth of my knowledge despite my attempts to communicate this with him. Bottom line: I came in for knee pain and left with more knee pain (due to the exercises he asked me to do during the sessions) and 200 dollars poorer. Dr. J is great. I came to him with a shoulder injury that was the result of overdoing it during the Crossfit Open WODs. He got me back on track and it's pretty much back to normal now, which is kind of amazing. He also has been helping me improve some other more fundamental core/posture issues, which I didn't even realize were holding me back but clearly were. I was a little skeptical/afraid of some of the chiropractic adjustments at first, but they seem to help, and Dr. J always seems to provide a mix of that stuff, more mainstream therapies, and a heavy load of PT-style exercises, specifically chosen to help your issues, that you can work on daily. The whole mix of all these different approaches seems to really work. Dr. J is a really great guy. He's from Long Island, I think, so he might come off at first as a little more bro-ey than a typical new agey chiropractor, but don't be fooled, he knows what he's doing and is a kind, generous person. If you're doing Crossfit at CFSBK, Jason's a part of that community, which is a huge advantage. He does all the workouts, etc. so he knows exactly what you might have been doing in terms of WODs and how they would impact your particular injury or situation. read more
