They have a range of different types/styles of yoga and different levels. The instructors are amazing and the studio is such a peaceful place where it is easy to walk in and focus on your personal practice or just let your worries and anxieties melt away. The greatest thing is that most of the instructors have a background in therapy and other health backgrounds. They are truly aware of the body and its functions and are so educational and sincere in their teaching. Whether you are looking for a yoga studio or not - I urge you to give them a try. Great for physical therapy and easing your body after any injury or accident. Talk to the fantastic instructors - they are always ready and willing to help the students adjust, heal, and renew their bodies. Love them!

This yoga studio is in East Grand Rapids where there is plentiful parking, either in Gaslight village shops, along the street or in the parking deck close by - and apparently they validate parking. The studio is warm and inviting with large windows on two walls. The people there were welcoming and I do plan to continue attending their community classes and will likely come for other yoga classes.

I love the decor with the Sanskrit on the walls, ambient lighting and little accents here and there, feels like I'm in India haha Great amenities too, cushions, blankets, straps, yoga blocks all free to use. They also sell really cool yoga clothes and great gifts from local artisans and have fun events. If you join their Facebook page you can get deals and discounts! Seva welcomes a diverse demographic and is not a "scene" like some yoga places, I have practiced with male, female, young, old, and sometimes they have had cats there, I was pregnant at the time and gave it a miss, but next time this crazy cat lady will go to one of those! Melissa, the owner, is an exceptional yogi, very warm and authentic in her practice which I don't find in many yoga places. She also gives back alot in the community from free classes on the Blue Bridge during the summer to partnering with many local vendors. What a nice person and role model :). Even though I could only go for two days it seem to make financial sense. I went to a Friday's class with Laura and a Saturday class with Jamie. I was visiting from out of state and started using this gym to workout and made a few exercise…read morevideos. The owner put up signs not to record any videos in the gym unless approved. So I did not. I approached her twice and she did not talk to me. The third time, she did and was extremely rude and accusatory of me running a business out of her gym. She told me she would speak to the other owners to allow me to record exercise videos and get back to me quickly. She didn't. I called the gym a week later and left her a message. She didn't call me back. Poor leadership and even worse management skills. I wouldn't go back to this place. Was like going back in time. In a bad way.

It has been my "go-to" gym since. I have found the people who work there are pleasant and helpful and the other members have always been friendly to me and nice. I get greeted each time I go in, by employees and members, I feel welcomed and wanted there. I get encouragement from the members and I give back as good as I get. Its a small gym but suits my needs, the only thing it doesn't have is a hot tub,, that would be great specially in the winter time--- just a suggestion!

Anne was reassuring and engaging, coaching me through all of the movements and positions as I sweat and trembled with each pose. What a work out! I could not believe how much stronger I became with each session. Anne is an amazing instructor, and has a gift for balancing encouragement with modification, and tailoring the plan to meet your unique needs. Never did I feel like the moves were too easy, but never did I feel like they were out of my reach. She is a master at this craft, and I am so much stronger because of her instruction.
