Well, this business has fewer than 3 Stars for a reason. Our family reserved a pontoon with Fun PCB. The instructions indicated we should show up 45 minutes before our departure time. We arrived at 7:10 am and checked in with Delaney for our 8:00 am departure. By 8:30 am, no one had given us any further instructions, though the weather was stormy, so we figured that was the delay. At 8:30 am we asked for an update and we were told by Delaney, Preston, and another worker (did not get his name) that there was a marina warning and we were welcome to either a full refund or we could wait out the weather to see if it improved. Around 9:15 am, they indicated we could head out if we wanted. Some boats started heading out. We asked Dusty, the dock hand helping us, what he thought about heading out in the weather. He said he would not go out in this weather, particularly given the lightning. The 3 workers at the front (in the booth) indicated we could wait out the weather a little longer and said we could stay out until 1pm instead of 12pm. They also said if we decided to go out, they would prorate our price based upon 3 hours instead of 4. We left shortly after 10am and returned just before 1pm. We tipped Dusty and headed to the booth to get our receipt. Delaney asked, "A receipt for what?" We said, "Our prorated boat rental." She then said they do not prorate and tried to tell us we had extra time, when we actually had 3 hours instead of 4. Preston then became quite rude. Delaney was unhelpful, but not rude. It was clear customer service was not a priority, so we asked for a number for someone else to speak to. They begrudgingly gave us Brittny's number. I had hoped Brittny would be helpful, but she also told us they do not offer proration. We asked if she would honor a 3-hour proration, given her staff had offered it. She simply said, "No." I asked if there was someone else I could speak to. She then said, "I'm the highest person at the company." I said, "Can I speak to James or Jeff, the owner?" (Preston had previously told us James and Jeff were the owners but they don't liked to 'deal with customers.') Brittny said, "They won't care. They don't like dealing with customers." So, I'm currently having to pursue our 25% refund via the Better Business Bureau, where they already have a poor rating as well. We found out the hard way why these guys have the lowest prices and poorest rating. Spend your money at an establishment that values their customers, even if you have to pay a little more! read more

These Beach Nazi's will try and taunt you saying they have the right to the beach and you can't put your umbrellas and tents in front of their chairs. Stating you will have to rent their chairs to have an un-obstructed view of the ocean. This is incorrect and wrong. Just so you all know, in PCB, 30 feet from high tide is public property (even in front of condos) you can set up whatever you want. Obviously, you need to be courteous of other beach attendees, if they have already purchased a chair, don't sit in from them. The next morning, beat the chair nazi out and set up your beach equipment. When they say something, all you have to do is say no. They will threaten to call law enforcement and code enforcement, let them. Enjoy it when they get the news that nothing can be done. Their days of ruining your vacation to make unreasonable money on a chair is over. read more

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! The reason we picked this outfit was due to the information on the website that specifically says "Park at numerous private beaches in the GULF OF MEXICO". See pic showing as advertised.. we specifically wanted to be in st andrews park just outside the the entrance to the bay like we always do on our boat that we didn't bring this year. And when we were going over everything they told us we couldn't go outside the bay - even though i showed exactly what it said on your site!!! Pissed beyond belief!!!!!!!!! AWFUL. I booked online after trying to call a couple times and got no answer. Then called the morning of my booking and got somebody and confirmed my boyfriend could come as an observer they said no they don't allow that (even though the website says something different). I did not want to get on the boat alone so I asked if I could get a refund or reschedule. The manager rudely said no she will not allow an observer no matter what. Rude staff, poor customer service. We wanted to rent a beach chair, and the free voucher from our property vacation rental mentioned something about it, so we asked the girl in the booth, and they wasn't free or anything. OK that's fine with us, we were happy to pay since it was also supporting a local business. But what's important was her ignorant and mean attitude, made us feel like we wanna make a scene for free chairs. Talk to us with a disrespectful manner. Never again with funpcb! Went on the Boat Dolphin Cruise with my adult daughter and 2 grandkids. Our Captain, Kristian located numerous pods of dolphins for us to watch and a manta ray and we were able to snorkel and swim for a bit at Shell Island. Had a great time!!! Will do it again next time we're here!! read more

We signed up for a dolphin jet ski ride and it was amazing!! Tyler was our guide and he took us all over the lagoon, gulf, and shell island! He was so nice and informational and always made sure no one was left behind. We even got to saw a group of 8 dolphins and tons of other marine life! It was such a great experience - definitely will be doing again!! read more

I am so glad we did this. Captain Rob was awesome He talked just the right amount and had some interesting facts. His adorable granddaughter was with him and helped my five year old granddaughter with her life vest. I have some physical limitations and had a hard time getting up the ladder back into the boat so this wonderful man put his boat up on the shore so I could get in easier. Me and my friends booked a Jetski tour at 4PM. Unfortunately some of us forgot our ID's and we asked if we can go get our ID's really quick, but they got a strict schedule so I understand. We asked for a refund or a reschedule, however the lady in the booth was very rude and was quick to say no in a very rude manner. She is the owners daughter and happens to be the manager. Her name is Katlyn and she is very rude, very poor customer service. This is not the way to run a business. Booked online for a pontoon rental--no problems. Arrived at 8:30ish and was greeted and loaded very quickly. Pontoon instructions were to the point and great maps of Shell Island are on the boat. Super friendly and fun crew. The pontoon, however, is another story. Not in great shape. Broken Bimini top, aging benches that are almost coming apart and the motor was very loud and didn't sound quite right. We had the best time and the dock hands really were so pleasant but PCB really needs to give their pontoons some TLC. read more

We were told boats would be 50 hp because we were calling around to shop prices and knew we'd be getting a smaller boat for this price. But we were given a 40 hp boat and every other 40 hp rental boat was passing us up so we had less time on the island and didn't feel safe on the water. Our rental boat was missing an instrument panel and seemed run down. When discussing our concerns upon return the dock hands didn't care at all and we were looking to book a 2nd day so they missed out on another rental. read more

My family and I had a pontoon rented for 4 hours 1:00-5:00 we paid $194. We arrived 45 min early like we were told and was told the morning boats were running late to return around 12:40, we did just that, they were still not ready for us. I will try and make this long story short because I want as many people to read this as possible! There were I believe 3 or 4 other families there waiting in the parking lot to board, we were the last family to get on the pontoon. We did not board our boat on the dock because they had to fill our boat up with gas and were running late so an older gentleman told the younger man to just fill up the boat and load us up there. We boarded the boat and finally pushed away; I took a picture shortly after we left with a time stamp of 1:29 (my ph. says 2:29 because I live in the Eastern time zone). We all looked at our phones because we knew we rented for 4 hours and we took off nearly 30 min. late. In our eyes we did not need to be back until appx. 2:25 because when we looked at our phones (shortly after take-off) it said 1:28. We arrived back to the dock at 5:30 in our opinion we were a few min late. After being gone close to 10-15 min I got a text message that said please return to the dock your credit card has been charged a late fee. I thought this must be a mistake we are back and have been gone awhile plus in my eyes we were only a few min late considering I paid for 4 hours. I tried calling several times with no answer, and never really gave it another thought (because what honest company would charge a late fee for being a couple min late right) until I returned home and checked my credit card and saw they charged me $161 late fee! I have called and spoke to Leah I have emailed Leah several times, she is absolutely useless, told me she promised to call me back that same day and didn't, I called and emailed her again she said none of the 3 employees working that day remembers anyone going out late, shocker I know! I sent the picture from my phone with the time stamp and asked if this was not proof that we took off late I do not know what is, but never have received a reply. This is BAD business I paid for 4 hours to be on a pontoon boat not to stand in your lot for nearly 30 min of my rental time! And a late fee of $161 nearly the same amount as I paid for the entire 4 hours, FunPCB should be ashamed of their business practices. Do yourself a favor rent a pontoon and go to Shell Island it really was our favorite part of our vacation but DO NOT use FunPCB unless you want to be treated poorly, board your boat late, and be charged an outrageous late fee for their poorly ran business. read more
