Eddie quoted me $15 and put it right up in the rack while we waited. He ended up spending way longer than I'm sure he had expected to because a few other links were messed up. In the end, he fixed it and as he was taking the bike off the rack he saw the handlebars were a little loose. Without thinking twice he loosened up the goose neck, made a few adjustments and then tightened everything up. Then he took n the bike over to the air and made sure the tire pressures were right. I told him to charge me more than the $15 he quoted, but he refused. These guys and gals at AV bikes are great. They know what they're doing and treat you like a customer should be treated. They've earned my business and I will send anyone who asks for a good bike shop their way.

All I needed was to exchange some inexpensive tubes for my service Dogs trailer. The were 20 dollars, they went flat after one use. When I originally purchased them, she sold me the wrong size, so I had to buy larger tires. They wrote me a receipt on the back of a piece of register paper, not sure why. I'm guessing that they were the crap tubes that they were just trying to get rid of. She explained, "they are thorn resistant, not thorn proof". That said, I just wanted better tubes for his trailer. I asked her if she would just credit me 20 towards purchasing a better inner tube product from there store, she said no ! I asked her if she was okay with losing a good customer over 20 dollars and stated that bad reviews can hurt a business. I have had jobs in my life, and reputation is everything !!! And all their workers are so friendly, always making small talk with you and helping you get to know your board and equipments. This year we need to extend our rental an extra day and that was painless as well. When you come back to return, just drop off outside and show them your paperwork, it's a very quick process. Just a tip, there are 2 locations pretty close to each other so remember which one you rented from. :)

We got a tandem kayak and it was so convenient to just be able to walk over to Boulder Bay Park and start kayaking. The woman who helped us rent them at the front desk also kindly reminded us to bring sunscreen and water, and even refilled my water bottle for me. Thanks a ton for a great time! It was my first time kayaking and it was a very pleasant beginner-friendly experience.

I called Paddles and Pedals in the morning to inquire about a same day bike rental. They…read moreconfirmed they had availability and we made our way over. Our party was one adult and two kids. The bikes they brought out were the perfect size for each person in our group and they provided helmets. It was about $16/hour for the bike rental. Upon arrival we were helped immediately. From arrival, to waiver signature, and getting on bikes took about 10 minutes. You will need an ID as they hold it until you return with payment. The location is on the north shore and it is easy to find. There was plenty of parking and it's right next to an RV Park with a little liquor store in case you forgot anything. If you didn't bring a drink, pick one up as I did not see any water fountains or bottle fillers on the bike path. The paved bike path is right across the road and it is easy enough. There are some hills, not bad, but not completely flat. You can always walk the bike up if needed. You can ride all the way down the north shore which is mostly undeveloped and absolutely beautiful. We packed a backpack with sandwiches and stopped along the way at picnic tables to eat lunch. Keep in mind for you, your kids, and pets, that it's a little harder to exercise/breathe at high altitudes. There are a few benches to stop and rest as well as a few paths down to the lake. The trail is shared with other bikers, walkers, runners, and a few folks walking dogs. Everyone we encountered was respectful. I knocked one star down because I thought $100+ for one adult and two kid bike rentals for less than 2 hours was a little steep. However, we loved our time on the bike path. The exercise was great and the north shore is beautiful. The trees and lake took our breath away. We will return soon.

(And might be again) . So like a true biker I bought too many bikes and had a garage a car can't go into. My wifes laughing -but disapproved. I told Bryan the owner my situation. he agreed to swap my used Pedego for a smaller one so my wife could ride. Keep in mind, swapping bikes and spending time on indecisive people is not how you make money in business but... Sara worked on it and made it look brand new. My wife rode it and loved it ( e bike baby!!) . --Now we are both to blame for a crowded garage. So.... All is right in the world again . Thanks guys
