We got 3 races plus the bronze license which was about $200 per person in total. With this we got gloves and a head wrap thing to keep and you can use their helmets and jumpsuits. We were under the impression you had to wear long sleeves and pants period. BUT turns out you can either wear the long clothes (and just race like that) OR you can have short stuff on and use a jumpsuit. Thank you to the really nice patron that told us that! It is soooo hot out there and a jumpsuit over long clothes was suffocating and unbearable. We went on a Wednesday around 1130am for races starting at noon and had no real issues . All the employees were super nice and didn't give any attitude. The races were about 15-20 minutes apart. We called days ahead and were told weekends were their busiest days and you would likely be waiting over an hour in between races . No thanks. It looked very new and legit , like they hold actual racing tournaments there (I'm sure they do but we didn't ask). Very clean and the tater tots were delicioussss. We got all the information we needed at the very beginning. If anyone is like me , big doses of information go in one ear and out the other . With that being said I wish it was more beginner friendly. We were given all the information and were sent on our way. We didn't really know where to go, just kinda figured it out . Most of the help we got was from the very friendly patron mention above. Just little questions we had like "can we take our water bottle with us" or "can we leave our stuff out here?" ALSO , I am 5'9. My man is 6'3. Those carts are not meant for tall folks lol . The first race I kept getting cramps in my calf. By race 2 I was slightly more comfortable. Race 3 I didn't really notice as much anymore but just know, it is definitely and adjustment. All and all, really amazing experience. I'll give it a 4 because although the employees were nice and answered questions when we saw them, I wish we had like someone to guide us through it all being that it was our first time. At least for the first race. We will likely come back being that the license lasts a year but thank you guys for the awesome experience!

However,karts there are terribly maintained,there are only 2 fast karts in a whole row of over 15,you do not get to choose your karts,you get assigned to them.A huge issue with the karts are the seats,the karts are so recked that the seats are sideways,they are not facing the steering wheel,they are like 5-20 degrees off the right or left side.(Only like 2 karts don't have this issue)top speed of the karts are quite high,however the pick up is extremely extremely slow on most of the karts(one of the good kart is no.43) The track is quite wide,wide enough to make mistakes.However i heard they change their track often so if i remember the name right the name of the track i raced was north smth.It was a little too short but good corners.

If you've never been, it's absolutely worth stopping by. They have a fascinating collection of rocks, minerals, fossils, and beautiful handcrafted pieces that are both educational and visually stunning. The volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to answer questions and share interesting facts, which made the visit even more enjoyable. One important thing to know -- they receive funding based on visitor counts. So simply stopping in and supporting them with your presence truly makes a difference. I'm not one of those girly girls who get all gaga over wedding dresses. But I love museums, any…read morekind of museum. And I heard that there were dresses that dated back to the 1800s. Parking: Limited free parking on the street in front of the museum and along the downtown area. There's also a free lot to the side of the building. The venue: The "museum" is at the back of La Boutique Consignment & Bridal store. It's a gorgeous collection of antique and vintage wedding dresses. The dresses are stunning. You can look but can't touch. But aren't most museums like that. :) There are about 22 complete gowns. The detailing is incredible. I can not even imagine how much time it took to get into one of those dresses. What will the corsets and busing, etc. Just crazy. Eve, the owner, is lovely and incredibly knowledgeable about the time period and each of the dresses. The one thing that struck me the most was that there wasn't a single dress in white. The majority of the dresses were ivory colored. There was even a black, green, and tartan/plaid wedding dress. Eve said it was because the gowns were made of silk. It wasn't until the Queen had her wedding lace made from white that white became used to make wedding gowns. You could easily spend an hour or more admiring the gowns and learning from Eve. If you're in the area, it's worth the trip. Plus it's free. :)

She is very passionate and can spend her whole day talking about Victorian wedding dresses and their history! She is great!!! She even has special events and history classes about them. The museum is free, but donations are appreciated. There is a vintage boutique within the place and all the proceeds from the sales of outfits go to maintaining the museum. I found a beautiful lace dress I knew I had to buy right then and there! Great place!!! Recommended for visits or for shopping!

I had the distinct privilege of being entertained by Chef Anton from Tricks of the Trade at a…read morerecent private event sponsored by Alibaba.com and the Internet Merchants Assoc. Chef Anton the magician and pool hustler mingled among the party-goers, stopping and performing astounding tricks whenever groups of 4-5 would gather around him...which was every time he moved. He spent about 10 minutes entertaining the small group I happened to be standing with, leaving us again and again looking at each other and blurting things like: "What just happened?" "Wait, how the hell did you do that." "Did you see that?" "Show me that again." "That did not just happen." "No way." These outbursts were interspersed with guffaws and incredulous looks at each other. This guy knows how to work a crowd and draw people in through participation. I cannot recommend Chef Anton and Tricks of the Trade highly enough as an option you should seriously consider for your private parties, trade shows and such.

The concept includes flyovers, air demonstrations (individual and group), and display aircraft. In addition, there were merchandise and service vendors which, I was pleased to see, concentrated on air related items, rather that the usual preponderance of timeshares, knives, financial services, etc. And, of course, there were various food vendors - they could actually have used more: the lines were very, very long. This was also billed as a beer and wine function. There were two areas set up for this - one of them requiring "VIP" access. The VIP one looked well attended, but, as we walked by the other one at around 1PM, there were people walking out complaining that they had run out of some important things: like beer! Did not verify. So here's the bottom line: if you want to see some exciting flying and flying machines, this is great! The show goes from 10-3 (I think, could be 9-3) and we got there around one. Even when we were five miles away, we could see the flying demonstrations and they were great fun to watch. Many of the aircraft are vintage and that only adds to the excitement. This part of the event is definitely worthy of five stars. The food and vendors need more participants and more organization. As I said earlier, the food lines were VERY long. So anyone wanting food will spend a minimum of a half hour, in some cases an hour, waiting. That's a long time. The air show is continuous, so that helps time pass. The pavilion with the beer/wine tasting was not inviting. We would normally get a couple of glasses of wine, but you had to buy a wristband for $32 for a number of tastes - no interest on our part. And for beer drinkers, to run out of beer a couple of hours before the party ends? Not good. I don't know how the VIP tent functioned, but, if they have it again and we were to go again next year, would definitely look into that.The added benefit of it was that it was covered with a canopy, which would have been nice to be under on a very hot, sunny day. My single big complaint was the parking situation and the way that was handled. The parking is free and there is plenty of it, but: it is in a plowed dirt field, and the staff was very inflexible, especially for those handicapped and with small children. The way it was set up is that it started in the morning in the area closest to the event, and then went further and further away. There was no set aside for people with wheelchairs or strollers, or for those whose physical issues made it very difficult to walk over very uneven dirt. The sad part was that by the time we got there at one PM, there were plenty of vacant places closer to the front, but the staff was not allowing anyone in that area - they kept insisting that the furthest away portion had to be filled. Not very accommodating. They really need to re-think how this works. If we were to go again, we would disregard the staff instructions and simply do what makes better sense. Overall though, it was fun and we would strongly consider going again, especially if it's free! We like watching air shows and walking around looking at planes and aviation oriented products. (Confession: ex-Air Force type here....) At the current level of participation, you could see all the stuff on the ground in one to two hours. What would entice us would be the ability to sit in a shaded area with a glass of wine and enjoy the demonstrations..... as with all things: time will tell! I do wish this group luck in making this an annual event.
