My expectations were pretty low since I've been to some haunted attractions at theme parks and had the misfortune of going to a garbage mall one ages ago, so I'm glad I had a lot of fun at this one! We did a Groupon for 2 people and there's a special receipt with a QR code you pick up from the front of the pumpkin patch entry area I believe. Although there was a line for the mansion, it moved pretty quickly since they section people off into groups of 6-ish I believe? Also while you wait, there are multiple scare actors who keep you entertained in line. Towards the front of the line there is also a photo opportunity with the infamous, meme-tic giant skeleton and an electrical chair for you to sit in. PRO-TIP: We were the last ones to step into the "lobby" area and by default we were the closest to the stairs area to enter the mansion first, so we didn't get spoiled for any of the jump scares! The mansion itself had multiple themes (hospital, doll room, butcher room, etc) and were decked out from top to bottom with all sorts of animatronics, illusions, fog machines, lighting, holes in the wall, tight spaces etc. If you have a common phobia, I'm sure you'll encounter something that will spook you here! My partner and I don't generally scare easily, but this attraction did get a couple jumps from me and got him to scream a couple times ! Also it's recommended not to wear heels or long skirts/dresses less they get caught on something, so keep that in mind ! read more

This was AWESOME! We just moved up here from San Diego and were yelp'ing where to go for a haunt! The first review was exactly what we needed to see. We did dinner and beer at Karl Strauss and walked over to Mansion of Lost Souls. Immediately I was jumpy, nervous laughing and screaming...that's all I'll say about that without giving the fun away. The effects were awesome: They definitely got us with some awesome movie style sets and positioning of the 'freaks'. My husband has a history of theater so it takes a lot to impress him however he couldn't stop talking about the stage design, effects and brilliant actors! We're going to try and come back on Halloween. This place is too good to be overlooked just because it's in a parking lot. We'll be back for sure. Let me start by saying I've been to a lot of haunts, I've worked in haunts, and at this point I consider myself to be somewhat jaded and cynical. It takes a bit to impress me. Well, you guys blew me away. Your sets were stunning, and some of your tricks and unique props made me do a double take, because, holy cow, I wasn't expecting anything quite like that. About the only thing I could critique would be some of your actors' timing. Some were a little too early, but I'm sure this will improve as they get more practice over the coming weeks. I went into this thinking it would be a fun little goof off to kick off the season, and left with the impression that we'll be seeing you guys blossom into a haunt to be truly reckoned with. When you see a haunt in a mall parking lot, you may not expect much but in this case you'd be DEAD wrong. I was impressed by the theatrically of this haunt as it unfolds a story from toon to room. Even more than than that, I appreciated the variety of scare tactics...not just jumping out and yelling BOO! Also so very original sets that even surprised me. Highly recommended if you in the area looking for a haunt. Located in a family friendly pumpkin patch. PS watch out for the "little monster" - young kids helping outside in costume but without the care adults take when swing a toy axe. read more

This is by far one of the best haunted houses I have been in, and it's located right here in Temecula!! I have been to Universal and Knott's many times in the past, but those mazes are rushed and not scary at all due to the huge number of people they let in at the same time. At Mansion of lost souls, they take the time to let only one group in at a time, so that all of the scares and individual experiences/rooms are not ruined in any way. The actors are great, and the scares are top notch. Definitely will be going here every year now! read more

Five trailers pieced together in a mall in Temec. $15 asking price. Outside looked as cliched and unassuming as I expected. I could not have had worse expectations going in. HOWEVER, I've been to Knotts and Universal both, and neither had a single house better than this.. They got me pretty good... And I'm quite seasoned with years of experience with haunted houses. I'm surprised a local haunted house has such high quality set up and talents. Out of all the places I've been to this year, Horror Nights at Universal Studio is still the best but this place in Temecula is definitely up there on my list. The space is a little tight in there but you can tell they spent a lot of time building the maze. They paid attention to details and it just makes the whole experience that much better. One of the best local haunted houses! The actors, lights, props and decor were all well done! definitely gave us a scare! It May look tiny and not much on the outside but the inside will surprise you! Well worth it! Probably one of my favorites. Will be coming back again. Very fun time! Side note: we did go early. Great haunted mansion right here in Temecula at the promenade mall! The scare crew was on top of it! I like that you go through a couple at a time, it was just me and my fiancé, made it very intimate. There was a scare at nearly every turn. The props rival the big amusement parks, but a much shorter drive! The clown at the entrance chasing people with the chain saw was fun to watch! A few people cried! I went to this haunt yesterday and it was so fun! Great maze and great staff. The only thing lacking was decency on behalf of who I now know as Wayne W. I was behind Wayne in line at the haunted house last night and he is an asshole! I had Groupon tickets myself and did what I was supposed to before I showed up because I know how to read. Wayne belittled a nice lady for giving him simple instructions since he didn't come prepared. Everyone behind him felt the need to apologize for his atrocious temper tantrum. Many of us wanted to say something right then, but hitting a woman is certainly something I wouldn't put past him. Not sure how he sleeps at night. Wayne, you are a worthless, entitled prick. Apparently you're super special and the rules don't apply to you. Everyone else is incompetent but you in your pathetic world. Reality awaits you when you learn to have some insight into what a dick you are. I'm sure you feel like a big, strong man because of your ability to bully the elderly, though. You clearly can't read! You said the business owner admitted to turning others away. That's not at all what she said. She clearly stated that many people weren't following the Groupon instructions, but could be walked through on site, like the lady at the tickets was trying to help you do. Why would you refuse to follow the directions provided? Because you're an asshole, plain and simple! The moment she started telling you what to do you insisted you didn't have to listen to her and cried like a baby while blocking everyone else from getting help. Went on October 20,2018 and this haunted house was well worth the money and the wait in line. This was an awesome local haunt.

I went on November 3 and experienced one of the best haunted mazes all Halloween season. I went to Halloween Horror Nights,'Knott's Scary Farm, Queen Mary's Dark Harbor and Warner Bros. Horror Made Here too. I loved the ScareActors inside the maze and this was the only one that had that 'Escape Room' feel to it where you would go into a room and you would have to find your way out! I genuinely got freaked out a few times in here. Awesome set design and props as well. This is a top-notch maze and is definitely a must-see for next year right here at the Promenade Mall in Temecula! read more
