It was raining, and I wanted to do something fun and indoors. I paid to play mini golf, and had paid to play both rooms. The course itself was clean and interesting; however, the courses were very easy and not very challenging. As a result of the easy courses, my husband and I got through them really fast. I was a bit annoyed because there was another group playing, and they were running all over the place. They were stepping on the props and going out of order. The parents weren't paying attention, and I just wish there had been some intervention from staff, unless they don't have cameras in the room to see this type of behavior going on. I think the mini golf is more for little kids. I've been to other mini golf locations, and have always found them to be fun and challenging. I just feel like I didn't get my money's worth. I think the price should be lower than what it is. Overall, the place was clean, restrooms clean, and the staff were nice and helpful. read more

I booked the Mega Glow party which was extremely easy to set up. Everything was done online and I only received one follow up phone call (Jordan) after booking. It was to select my choice of pizza and drinks. A link for the waivers was sent to me that I could forward to the guests. Jordan was a great help and answered all the questions I had. On the day of the party, one host (Jamie) was assigned to our party. She was sweet and very helpful. The party room is the first part of your party experience. Once your 45 minute time is up, you move on to either laser tag or miniature golf. Make sure to take all your items with you since there is no going back to that room. They do provide carts for you to move your belongings. There are screens in the dining area where you can watch what's happening in the laser tag section. There are three choices of pizza; cheese, pepperoni, and the supreme. I selected one of each. I thought cheese would be a hit since the kids I know, mainly opt for that. However, the supreme pizza was the most delicious. Make sure to select that. They do provide cupcakes but you are able to bring your own dessert. Candles are NOT provided, but they do provide a lighter. Overall, this is a great place to book a small party or team building event. read more

Finally -- something fun to do indoors in Temecula that isn't Target or Costco runs. Portals Entertainment Center might just be my new happy place. It's got everything -- mini golf, laser tag, neon dinosaurs that roar at you like they've had a bad Monday, and enough themed rooms to make you feel like you're on a Universal Studios budget... but without the drive. The Jurassic World area? Straight-up awesome. Neon-colored dinos, jungle vibes, and sound effects that made me look over my shoulder a few times just to be sure I wasn't about to get eaten. And here's the best part -- they have a 21+ adult lounge. Went yesterday to do the two rounds of golf and laser tag. Both were great very fun! We came out of laser tag sweating. The round is ten minutes long, definitely felt like a nice length to really enjoy it. Staff was friendly and nice and the place looked clean. We just visited Portals for the first time and had a blast. We were pretty impressed with what a unique, fun concept it is, we've never seen anything like it. A great vibe and very refreshing change from your typical family fun center. We noticed right off how clean and organized it is, and the employees greeted us and were friendly and helpful in explaining everything. There were various activities, and we chose two rounds of mini golf. We received a card that we used to get glow in the dark golf balls from a fun machine and glowing golf clubs. The two golf portals/rooms were pirate and dinosaur themed. I loved the pirate course, it had an undersea look with sea creatures. It actually reminded me a bit of Disneyland and the pirates ride. Then onto the dino room, complete with glowing dinosaurs, some that moved and made sounds. The difficulty level was just right, and the blacklight element made it fun and unique. We bought more credits on our portal card to play some arcade games. The games were state of the art and had a good playing length. We were able to play several for $10, and somehow won enough credits/virtual tickets for a prize (a stress ball). The prizes weren't junky like you usually see, but a lot of quality stuff including Pokemon toys. Kids will love that. Portals is good for both kids and adults, groups and parties. There's a variety of food, treats, and quality adult beverages. The prices are affordable and just right, in my opinion. We noticed they also have designated days for people needing reduced sensory stimulation, so nice! And being indoors, it's perfect for rainy days or more common here, hot days. It's well designed with a lot of attention to detail (ie hand sanitizer stations). We saw a party room set up with glowing cups and utensils. What a great, *much needed* addition to our community! My daughter and I were very excited to drive up from Escondido to play time-travel mini golf at Portals in Temecula. 2 players, both courses (Pirate & Dinosaur Themes) 9 holes each, cost $34. At 11am on a Monday morning there was only one other duo on the courses. The courses are small. The Dino course fits in one small room. The Pirate course winds around a bend. With nobody in front of us, we finished both courses in about 30-min. The Pirate course is much better than the Dinosaur course. The Pirate theme has videos, voices, songs and better decorated. The Dinosaur course only has a consistent "roar" going on, with wall paintings and a few standing Dino's. The course seemed like an afterthought, like the Company was running out of money and built a course in one square room with glow in the dark paint. Like I said before, we were both done 30-min in and my 8yr old was quite bored. We then perused the arcade and quickly found out the prices are similar or higher than Dave and Busters. But D&B has half off ALL games on Wednesday's (hint). We passed. Portals is great for a one-time visit because once you see the art, vids, and hear the songs the actual courses are not worth another visit at around $1/minute. I cannot see ourselves returning. Portals hosted my daughter's 6th birthday this past weekend and I completely recommend this place. The owner was so kind. We went in 2 days prior as our plan had got rained out and he was so flexible and understanding. We had a large group and they did everything to make us comfortable and well taken care of. Our party host was named Steven and he was phenomenal. He was so great with the kids, organized, got everything we needed and made sure we were up to date with the plan of the evening. It was amazing! We had been to portals about 6 months prior just as a fun family date of laser tag and mini golf and we had the best time. Hands down the best customer service I've ever experienced! I recently hosted my son's birthday party here, and I can't say enough about how incredible the staff was. My son and his friends are adults with disabilities, and the team went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt included, comfortable, and celebrated. From the moment we arrived, I mentioned that the group had disabilities, and the staff didn't hesitate for a second, they smiled and said, We look forward to meeting them! Let us know how we can help. That level of care alone meant so much. Throughout the party, our host was amazing. When he noticed how interested the group was in tattoos after seeing mine, he happily showed his own and really engaged with them. It was such a small moment but made a huge impact. I even forgot candles, and without hesitation, they brought some over. When I mentioned that the group probably wouldn't want to do laser tag (which was part of our package), they immediately adjusted and gave us extra arcade credits instead. Every single staff member was kind, patient, and genuinely wanted to make sure everyone had fun. Many of the parents had never been here before, and by the end, we were all saying, we'll absolutely be back. Then we went into the pirates. The displays for both were epic and in such good condition. The staff were super kind and offered us a free stuffie at the end of the day. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem! I liked that it wasn't too big, I think it was just the right size. They utilize the space so well you'd never realize there's so much by looking at the outside. Having everything contained indoors is fantastic for weather. The amount of glow in the blacklight is so impressive! As far as cost, I think it's right on target with any activity you take your family to. It's extremely clean in all areas including restrooms. Such a nice surprise in a public area! Nice place to take the family. We were the only ones in the room when we got there so we were able to get through the different courses quickly, but I'm sure on a busy day it might be a little chaotic. Went here on a weekday and it was dead.....which was good and bad. Good because we got to do everything without having to wait to play anything. The mini golf was cool and we played all of the courses. You can scan a code before entering each course and keep score for your whole party on your phone. Then at the end of the game, take a photo of the victor and the losers. That can then be downloaded to your phone for posterity. From the golf, we moved on to Laser Tag.....this is where the place being dead comes in. If there aren't many people to play tag with, there is no challenge...or you can't play. We had three adults and three kids in our party. Only one kid wanted to play and one of our adults. Luckily, there was another person who was already there who was also waiting for more people to show up so they could play. They played two rounds. My 13 year old beat them all!! From there we moved on to the arcade and the claw machines. Our two younger kids were actually able to grab things with the claws. They were very happy about that. There was also a few rounds of Air Hockey. To play anything and everything, you are given a card to load and reload with money. You can reload at a self service kiosk or up at the register with a live person. The employees were multitasking so they were not always up at the register to help you immediately so it was just easier to use the machine to reload the card. All in all we will return. It's something to do on a hot summer day to stay out of the heat. Plus, they have three locations in the surrounding cities. read more

Mini golfing was a fun experience there as they have two separate neon mini golf experiences. One is a pirate theme and one is a dinosaur theme. In my opinion, the pirate section is set up far better with its implementation, so I would definitely recommend going that route. It was a fun experience for about 30 min. read more

Came in a few days ago to check it out after seeing some pictures on our local chat group. It's a cool concept but a little on the pricey side. We paid $51 for 2 people to mini golf both 9 hole "courses" and arcade games. We got about 120 tickets. They do have low ticket candies but prizes were up there. They just opened so hopefully they get some better games for the small arcade, and lower some of the prize prices. Each game is 1-2 $ and I think all give tickets to pick something out from the prize area. Prizes are also expensive, ticket cost wise. There was food but we didn't order any, the prices were OK. There is going to be a 21+ area but that wasn't done yet. There is also laser tag but we didn't do that either. It was a fun experience. The black lights made our eyes feel funny by the time we were done with all 18 holes. This is located next door to the At Home store off ynez and Overland. read more
