    Music Room

Pennypickle's is a fun place to explore with your little one on a day away from home. The staff were so kind and helpful. Lots of things to look at. My daughter and I spent over two hours playing. Admission is done in time slots. Staff clean and sanitize between time slots. The room I enjoyed the most was the music room, with the kitchen room being second. The gift shop is at the entrance and stocks science themed toys. Coffee can be purchased at the front for $1.50. If unsure when it's beat to go, call ahead as Pennypickle's hosts many field trips, especially during the first morning time slot.

Everyone who works there are super nice and excited to work with children. They interact well with all ages. The place has so much to do and the interactive environment is great for exploration. The cost was very reasonable and the gift shop has a variety of reasonably priced things. Great value for your money!

What a magical place. We've lived here for almost 3 years and have not had the pleasure of checking out this gem. I was a little hesitant since we approached the building the same time as a birthday party did. Thank goodness it wasn't private - we would've been so bummed. From the moment we arrived, it was truly an experience. The ladies in labcoats set the tone explaining ground rules to the kids; and of course the task of finding Beaker - their mouse friend hiding somewhere in the museum. What I loved the most about this space was how thoughtful, educational, fun and just overall amazing it was. Everywhere you went, you were able to do things you wouldn't necessarily do at home. You could twist those knobs, climb through secret passageways, bang on drums, touch the switches. Everything was a cause and effect. How incredibly clever. Not only was it well thought out, but also it was very childproof, clean and safe. Workers throughout the museum gently reminded guests to walk and keep the noise level down, and I appreciated that. There was a level of respect that I admired being in there. We wanted to maintain what we viewed as an amazing creation. Not only did you encounter written blurbs of what some of the stations were showing, but there were also amusing videos that brought almost a nostalgic feel. I couldn't pinpoint it, but it was seriously like stepping into a scientists own home. I loved it. I loved the pennies paired with the pickles throughout the whole area. Loved the fact there was a find Beaker bell that kids (and adults) could ring. Loved the inviting environment to engage curious minds. We stayed there 2 hours, just constantly going from room to room, and I always saw something new! A must see. Such a unique gem, and I hope this place stays around forever. I will fight to keep it!

Such a great time for my family and i. We did this as a way to do something for my son while we stayed on the vineyard. I will say i was not expecting to much honestly, but i was so wrong. The staff was amazing and so sweet and fun. They made the experience that much more fun. Then when we went in there was so many different rooms for the kids to play in and be interactive in. Even for adults this was such a great experience. We were able to go into a glow in the dark room and participate in a lot of the brain teasers that were posted all over the walls & in the different rooms. This was the perfect place to get out of the hot sun & get the kids using their brains and ready for a nap after. My son was wiped out afterwards.

Heard about this place from a friend and since it's not too far from where we live, I decided to surprise my kids. Definitely worth it! Kids enjoyed it and want to go back already. Everyone working was very kind and friendly. Lots going on and even for myself and my adult daughter we even had fun lol. Definitely worth the price.

We held my daughters 5th birthday here and it couldn't have been a better decision! The communication leading up to the event was helpful in planning - I talked with Jen and Izzy and they were so very pleasant answering all my questions. On the day of, they had a beautiful hand drawn sign and Professor Cindy captivated all the kids during her experiment demonstration. The kids of course loved exploring the venue - running from room to room with such excitement. Thank you for making this day go so easily and full of so many memories

My favorite place to bring the kiddos! Definitely recommend this spot to anyone with kids! Only $10 per person, 18 months or older. But anyone with a child under 18 months is free! Great on a hot day! AC inside! Soo much to see and play! 11 rooms to explore! A must see for your children!

We brought our students to this facility for a field trip in May 2025. Working with Izzy was such a pleasure. We were strapped as far as dates and she worked with us until we could find one that suited four second grade classes. The enthusiasm of the woman conducting the science demonstrations was contagious. The students really loved her and the demos. There were many different rooms that the students experienced containing many different activities. There is an hour and a half allotted for each session which is normal. Realistically an hour would have been fine only because the kids were hungry. It was a good value. There was a courtyard where we enjoyed our lunch that consisted of benches, shaded areas and restrooms. It was a great time.

This was our first time here and with a birthday party. The helpers were amazing and Cindy Lou was phenomenal with the experiments during the party. The staff were very friendly and wonderful with the kids. They asked if we needed help frequently, which was so appreciated. The kids wouldn't stop talking about all the cool things they saw. Inside has so many cool things to see and interact with. Highly recommend for a party package! It's perfect, they decorate the space in a pre chosen theme, let us in 15min early to put out our food and supplies. Inside was clean and they were actively clean each room after kids played, which was great because everything is high touch. For what we paid I'd 100% have another birthday party here. So many cool experiments to interact with, great value for the money. All of our guests has a great time. Thank you again!

What a unique experience! We celebrated Noon Year's Eve with a handful of families at this quirky tinkers' tavern. Unlike the sleek and chic museums of the big cities, Pennypickle's Workshop is right at home in the small, saloon-y town of Temecula. I'm glad their Noon Year's Eve celebration coincided with our drive from San Diego to LA, but I don't know that we would've stopped here for a regular visit.

The setup and decor were beautiful, and everything was ready to go when we arrived, which made a big difference when hosting a group of excited kids! The space itself is amazing, with so many engaging, hands-on activities for a wide range of ages (definitely up to around 10). The kids were entertained the entire time. Even better, so many of the parents were raving about the experience and how much their kids loved it, which says a lot. Highly recommend hosting a party here if you're looking for something fun, interactive, and well-organized. We had the best time!

She was quite happy about finally seeing the museum! Located on a school campus, the museum sits back a ways from the parking lot across a courtyard from the school building. Parking and walkways are shared between visitors and students alike. The museum is bright and airy, having a nice flow from room to room, through timeline to timeline. The displays are beautifully constructed with thorough yet engaging text to explain each finding or display. The exhibit rooms are large enough to give that gasp that comes with being in the presence of creatures of such size, but cozy enough to linger and read without being overwhelmed. There are hands-on activities for youths and those young at heart, a children's play and explore area, and a theater/presentation area. We really enjoyed the presentation that brought the area to "life" through a realistic, animated depiction. We sat on molded rocks, which was fun. When students came, they sat on the floor. My family visited from out of town so we wanted to take them to some kid-friendly spots to entertain my 3-year-old niece. It's right next to the freeway, so finding it is easy but their parking lot is small. We arrived around 11 am, which is an hour after they open, and their lot was full. When that happens, you are redirected to the lot across the street and that's just a short walk. It can be inconvenient though if you are with multiple children. I was surprised at how big this place was. There is a downstairs and upstairs area, so we spent the entire day there. They had exhibits explaining some science and physics concepts in a fun way children can understand. What surprised me was the interactive grocery store that focused on teaching kids how to read nutrition labels and another area that explained recycling methods. I actually learned some things in that area about recycling hazardous household items. There is another area next to the gift shop downstairs where you can pet stingrays and small sharks. The upstairs area was my favorite! It's an ocean theme and had a bounce area for the kids. Outdoors is the Dino exhibit and their animatronics were such high-quality. There is a cut dig site where each child receives their own bucket to find fossils. They had a Scooby Doo pop up exhibit where you have to solve a mystery and there are clues throughout to help you. I got to make my own sandwich there, which was fun. I appreciated all the hand sanitizing and water filling stations to help keep our hands clean and our bodies hydrated. They do have a small cafe inside in case you get hungry. I had the tomato, pesto, mozzarella croissant sandwich, and it was actually quite good! It was toasted and had good flavor. I knocked it one star because we came across a few exhibits that didn't work or stopped working in the middle of us using it. Overall, it was such a fun experience with my family and my niece had a blast!

I have to share how impressed I was with the event from beginning to end. The JROTC or other military program was there volunteering their time to put on this event. When boarding the trains, they asked if I needed assistance with Tristan's wheelchair and getting him on the train. They also asked if we needed a quieter cab because Tristan has Autism. This made us feel extremely welcomed because my son and Godson both have Autism. It was not only inclusive but equitable. There was also plenty of handicap parking when entering. Have your placard up so they know where to direct you. The entrance fee includes a ride with Thomas and is $30.85 per person. If you'd like, you can also ride Percy for an extra $10. Of course we rode both. This event is not super large and it wasn't overly crowded. That could've been due to the rain. They do allow outside food and drinks in which helps with cost. The only suggestions I'd make is to offer more seating areas. Seating seemed to be limited even with the small crowd. Another suggestion would be to have a quiet tent for kiddos to wind down in. They had games, a hay maze, bouncers, dance tent, infant changing tent, access to the museums, opportunities to ride, photo opportunities, the museum guest shop, the Thomas guest shop, and food vendors. If your children love trains, definitely take them. Next week is the last week for Thomas and he won't be back until next year.
