Brandy is a perfect fit for us and so loving. We have boarded her twice at Our Pals Place and their attentiveness to our questions, or instructions on what our Brandy eats. They let us bring her bed, blanket, toy, food and meds. Gigi, the Owner and Director is on site, and she makes everything so easy. We were on vacation, and we received two photos of our Brandy playing with large and small dogs. They introduced her to others slowly to make sure all was alright. Our Pal's Place is by far #1 in our book for this area. Privately run and not a large corporate boarding facility. I cannot say enough. Thank you, Gigi and your staff.

We could tell the…read moredog belonged to someone because the dog looked very well cared for (the dog looked to be at least 80 pounds or more) but its obvious he is lost. The poor guy kept going up to every car in the parking lot hoping he would bump into someone he knew. At one point he actually ran toward the main intersection and we actually had to run out to grab him. After a quick search on Google we found Our Pal's and decided to bring the lost dog here to see if we can find his owner. We talked to Gigi the owner who was so nice and helpful. She gave us the name of a vet down the street (Shallowford Animal Hospital) who could check to see if he is chipped. We could tell Gia cared about our lost dog and even gave us a really strong leash to use... Thanks to Our Pal's we were able to find the lost dog's owner. Thanks Gia and the staff here....you guys are an animal's best friend.

I had my first foster dog for a few months and she recently got adopted to a wonderful family. I can't tell you how cool it was to help a dog who literally was on death row at a local shelter to get healthy again and then to find a new home. AARF made it a really easy and rewarding experience to volunteer and they help wonderful animals find great homes. There are other rescue groups in Atlanta and they are all doing amazing work. I'm certainly not saying AARF is any better than any other rescue group because I haven't volunteered with any others but I am saying that the people at AARF rock and I really love working with them.

Thank you, AARF, for giving me the funnest, most affectionate animal I have ever met! I am a…read moresupporter of all animal rescue organizations, but the idea behind this one is special. Fostering an animal while it finds a home is one of the best things a person can do. Animals in tiny cages where they don't get room to run and play can get issues that can take years of training and care to treat. But, give a homeless animal a temporary home while you find a permanent one and it can learn from your other pets or just get used to what it is like to have a nice home. I am still training my dog on some basic lessons, but once she's ready to teach others, I plan to foster. Check their web site if you want to foster or need a pet yourself!

The only thing that threw me off was it was described, or at least I thought it was (there may have been a drink or two before this) as a cat bar so I thought cats would be roaming around. Honestly, I wondered how safe that was and what if people don't want cats crawling around them. It made a lot more sense when I got there and realized you had to pay to visit the cat den. It was just a back room with a bunch of cats, but the nice thing is that they donate those funds towards animal charities. Personally, I don't care enough about hanging out with the cats so I skipped that part, but otherwise they played great music on a Tuesday. The bartender was awesome too that night. Very friendly. We had a great little chat and then I promptly noticed a high heel shoe chair and made my coworker shoot a pic of me sitting on it. Big fan of the kitch!

Their hours are perfect for people who want an exciting thing to do at night but with chill vibes and even chiller cats. They have a limited selection on drinks but they are always fast. And they host some pretty cool events here from paint nights to cat yoga, recently they held a tattoo event with a local shop. Super fun and totally worth the visit.
