    Poor customer service

Terrible customer service from Hannah and probably the entire team. I'm sure corporate shoves a business strategy down their throat. They make you buy food from them for life and use their terrible vet to use their insurance policy on the dogs. I would highly suggest finding a reputable breeder to buy a dog from because I'm sure the prices have gotten that astronomical

My husband and I were in the shopping center on a Sunday waiting for our to go food. Petland Puppies was the only store open, so we figured we would check out the pups and look at their dog toys for our little Schnauzer Coco. When we walked in, there was a sign in desk for people with reservations, I informed the young lady at the desk that we were only there to browse and we did not intend on purchasing a puppy. The amicable hostess told us it was totally fine to look around and to let her know if we wanted to play with any of the dogs. They had a small selection of toys and grooming items, nothing impressive. I'm a dog lover and knew if I held any of the pups I would want to take one home , so we just observed through the window. While we were observing, I noticed 1 dog in a cage with 3 others being attacked. Everyone said they were playing but they kept going for his neck, and he wasn't even defending himself... it broke my heart to not be able to help and put him in a different cage. We also saw a cute min Schnauzer with tons of energy in a cage with another breed who was either very tired or very sick. All the dogs looked like they could use a bath and none looked happy. Prices were not listed and I didn't bother to ask since pet store prices are historically high. If I was in the market for a puppy and wanted to know the lineage I would go to a breeder. It is not clear where these random dogs come from and even what they are mixed with. In my opinion, these dogs are not much different than the ones you would find at the Humane Society, other than the price. We left Petland Puppies feeling sad for the canines, hoping they all find a forever home soon.

My daughter and I have been going in for years and playing with the puppies. After years of resisting she finally couldn't resist and bought a puppy. So far, after two months, he's perfectly healthy and happy. Having been in multiple times, here are the pros and cons I've seen. Pros -ability to see and interact with multiple breeds at one time -has always been clean when we're there -puppies appear healthy and happy -no waiting list for puppy as with breeders -ability to finance Cons -horribly overpriced (at least 2x breeder price) -may come from puppy mills -credit card charges 26% interest -pedigree can be sketchy

We came into Petland Kennesaw "blind," not knowing anything about it. I hadn't read any reviews (I didn't realize at least two of my friends had negative pet-buying experiences here) nor was I aware of the Humane Society of the United States' undercover operation at this store. I won't go into it here, but you can read about it here: https://www.humanesociety.org/news/new-humane-society-united-states-undercover-footage-two-petland-stores-reveals-dead-puppy. That said, we were turned off by this place. It smelled bad (yes, I realize pet stores smell, but this particular odor was very off-putting and the air was uncomfortably humid), some of the puppies looked sick, and overall, we just didn't get a good feeling from this place. I've got a strong stomach, but the smell inside this store made me nauseous. This is opposed to a place like the Atlanta Humane Society (https://www.yelp.com/biz/atlanta-humane-society-atlanta-3), a place I've visited often over the years, where I've experienced none of this. I always leave the Atlanta Humane Society feeling happy and fuzzy, but I left Petland Kennesaw feeling a bit gross/grossed out. We were in the shopping center and I was attracted to this store because the storefront sign simply said "Petland Puppies" (not Petland Kennesaw). Who doesn't love puppies? There were lots of people inside; several families with small children. The puppies were cute. Some looked happy, some looked sad. Some were playing while others while some were sleeping. Several of the puppies looked "dirty" and/or sick with wet faces, mucus, and dried-up crud, mostly around their eyes and noses. I know some of that stuff is normal, but the amount here seemed excessive to me. The puppies at the Atlanta Humane Society have always looked cleaner, happier, and healthier to me based on my non-expert and perhaps biased opinion. An adorable black-and-white husky pup caught my eye, but that was it. Meh. The staff seemed fine and available/willing to help.

Made a reservation with Petland Kennesaw to see a specific dog on-site. Received a call from Bianca 1 hour prior to the appointment time to confirm my arrival, which I did. My travel time from home was an hour drive. I get there 4 minutes prior to the store opening. As I'm waiting for the store to open, I get a text that the dog I came an hour distance to see had been sold. How is that when Bianca had just confirmed my appointment with the dog an hour before? A total waste of my time without any concern other than if I wanted to see another dog. I don't recommend this store to anyone. Before you buy, read the article attached.

Overpriced dogs. Runny Poop is caked up in crates. I feel bad for the cute puppies. $7000 for a Great Dane, I think not.

Before they brought him out, they warned us about how he looked. He had come in starved and severely matted. When he came out what we saw was a friendly, happy dog. He knew they had saved him. He came home with us that day! They sent us home with a container of special food for him. Since then we have been back for a weigh in and check up, an injured leg (he hurt it having too much fun), and neutering. Each time he was welcomed enthusiastically and with much love. The vet (Dr. Anna) took her time to talk with us answering all our questions. The day after surgery the shelter called us to make sure he was recovering well. All communications with Homeless Pets and in particular Susannah have been positive, helpful, and timely. If you are looking to adopt a pet, I can't recommend Homeless Pets enough!

The dog was bleeding from its bottom the first day and after notifying the rescue who also has a vet on site, they only said "it will clear up". A vet never called to check on the dog or asked to see it. Once they got their adoption fee and got rid of the dog, they didn't want anything else to do with it. They claim they get dogs healthy for adoption which is completely false. After multiple messages to the rescue and getting no where, I took the dog to my vet who performed a $2500 surgery the same week. I gave the rescue an opportunity to make it right, and they refused to compensate for any of the cost. Very disappointed in a local rescue who claims to be looking out for pets. These are the facts, and they know what they did was very wrong.
