For several years we had starlings nesting between the roof and the ceiling of our screen porch…read more  We could see them go in and out the hole carrying nest making material and leaving droppings on the side of the porch all summer.  The porch ceiling was high and we could never find anyone willing to deal with the issue.  Greg Logan from Wildlife & Waterfowl came out and fixed the problem.  Unbeknownst to us the starlings entrance was near a bathroom vent and they had set up camp in the vent.  He also found woodpecker holes they were using to access the area.  He covered the woodpecker holes, put a plastic basket (looks like a strawberry basket) over the vent and then attached two woodpecker deterrents to the porch.  On his advice we had three other vents protected with the same plastic basket.  The starlings examined the basket over their vent a few times and gave up.  Problem solved.  Greg is a professional wildlife biologist - competent and courteous. His website contains excellent info about pesky bats, skunks, raccoons, starlings and every other kind of critter that would like to make your home their home. We would definitely call him again for any bird or wildlife problem and highly recommend him.

The excavation was large enough to indicate a larger creature was burrowing, which led me to contact Greg. He responded promptly and came out to investigate. In addition to looking at the stoop, he also took the time to look around the house to see if other activity was occurring that could be a concern. Set the trap and explained that he will come out every morning to check, which was comforting knowing that a trapped animal won't be left there for an extended period of time. After a week, there was no animal in the trap. We both agreed to have screening installed around the stoop to prevent any additional burrowing. Screen was installed quickly, and to be sure that the stoop was vacant of creatures, Greg placed a smaller trap before closing up the screen the next day. Overall a excellent experience. Will call again for future animal issues.
