Wonderful place, I wouldn't trust taking my dog anywhere else now that I've found them! I've utilized Fur Paws for both general boarding as well as the two week training. I have a 15 month old Doberman (Ares) who also came home from training groomed! He weighs about ~100lbs and can be a lot to handle - very excitable and anxious. Below is some more detailed feedback: Nazira is obviously great with the dogs. Professional, gives great feedback, quick to respond and always wonderful to deal with. After my first time boarding Ares I could already tell that he understood that she wouldn't tolerate his nonsense. Boarding was also great. Ares came back happy and healthy. I got picture updates throughout his stay. The price is also very competitive compared to other places I've taken him. Because of the layout of the facility, the dogs also receive a lot of positive socialization during boarding. Training was worth every cent. Ares was command trained prior to going to the two week course but at my first one on one session I realized that prior to the training he lacked actual obedience training. Being able to understand commands is one thing and consistently listening to them is another. Ares is much more obedient now and I've also learned so much. Nazira was great at walking me through body language and voice cues and explaining specifically what Ares needed from ME to be successful. He also came back from training groomed. I would recommend Fur Paws with 5 Stars to anybody for any animal needs! I won't be going anywhere else if I can help it. read more

I recently moved back from California and I hadn't found a groomer for my dogs. It's so hard to find one that you actually like. Usually takes several tries. My poor dogs were looking like such a mess!!! Anyhow, I came across Fur Paws. I called on a Saturday and was able to schedule a full grooming for both my little babies the next day! I was so glad. So when I arrived, I didn't know it was a business run out of the house so I was a little apprehensive but all the reviews were so good so I had to trust it would be okay. I left my dogs there...got a text that they were done and went to get them! The one thing I hate about groomers is they make you unnecessarily drop your dog off very early...like 7 am...knowing they won't get to your dog for hours. So they're just sitting in the crate, usually with no water. I just hate that. By the time I pick them up, they seem like they're so exhausted and had been dying of thirst!! But not here, she had both of them done pretty fast and OMG....they looked sooooooooooo cute!!!! I can't say enough about what a great job she did. She's super skilled. Their faces weren't lopsided or uneven anywhere. It's been a few days now and I just can't handle how cute they look every time I look at them. I will definitely be going back. A bit of a drive for me but well worth it. Oh and the price you wont find anywhere else. Amazing!! read more

I love this place and so do my pups. We first started with Fur Paws on training. Jorge Guerra, certified dog trainer, accomplished in one hour what I have not been able to teach my dogs in two years. He is Houston's "Dog Whisperer". Their own personal dogs (german shepherd, rottweiler, dalmation, pit bull and a min-pin) are so well trained it's remarkable to see how they obey commands. Because of this I also decided to try boarding my pups with Fur Paws. Again, my pups love staying here. Unlike most boarding facilities, the dogs are not crated up all day. There bed is laid in a room inside Nazira and Jorge's house and they have the freedom to roam and socialize with the family and all the other dogs staying at their home. There is a massive and secure back yard where they run and play at their whim. The best part is that Nazira and Jorge do not nickel and dime you for every little optional request such as giving your dog meds if needed, or for an extra treat or extra play time. What I most appreciate is that my pups have human interaction and socialization with other dogs, of all sizes, all day. I highly recommend them! read more

I came to get my dog a simple bath, let me tell you my dog is the definition of a psycho. But the patience she had with my dog was outstanding! I will be going back to ONLY Fur Paws and I will take advantage of their other services! Thank you! Visit 2: March 2017 So my dog is psycho and I described it previously. However, this time was a lot easier!! The dog trainer of the facility came in and to be honest I didn't know what to expect. No one has ever made my dog that calm during a bath. It usually takes 3 of us to bathe her at home because she's yelling and scratching! This time my dog had never ever been so calm! Just his presence calmed her down. I absolutely loved the fact that he was so stern yet so delicate and patient with her! I bet if you take your dog anywhere else and if they don't like water they will wrestle your dog down and it can definitely cause them stress. But She allowed him to bathe her and I was watching the whole time and I have ZERO complaints. Although I have moved to kingwood I have no issue driving all the way over there for the sake of my pet! This was my first visit to Fur Paws Hotel. I had to take my four dogs for grooming. Nazira was easy to communicate with. After I placed the initial call, I texted her the information on my dogs and she pretty much took it from there. I dropped my babies prior to leaving for work in the morning and was only able to pick them up in the evening after work. Nazira was very lenient about my time of arrival, since I face a long drive home. As she worked on my furry little squad, she asked questions, sent me photos and kept me updated as she worked on my babies. Luckily I was able to find time out my busy work to answer back to her, so that worked out great. The most important part to me is that my dogs acted just fine when we came home, unlike in some of the other cases. The pricing on grooming services is very reasonable. Best kept secret!!! I almost didn't want to leave a review because I want this place all to myself. We have a very busy chocolate lab, and needed to board him with super short notice. I called fur paws, and literally an hour later they welcomed him with open arms. The owner is such a sweet lady. Her calmness, patience and understanding are astounding. We have 3 boys who love their dog immensely, and they were very upset when we dropped him off for boarding. However before we could get on the highway, we were sent pictures and video of our fur baby having a blast with his new friends and all was well in our world again. She went above and beyond our expectations. We had constant contact while away, and when we got back I could tell he was loved on the whole time he was there as he was as happy and relaxed as could be. Thanks Fur Paws!! We adopted a three year-old Boxer at the end of December '17 and by mid-January, we decided he could definitely benefit from the training and expertise Fur Paws has to offer. Nazira and Jorge couldn't have been more reassuring or encouraging when we decided to leave our new pet with them for two weeks. They were great about sending pictures and videos while he was there, which comforted us tremendously. They carefully walked us through the steps we needed to take when it was time to bring our dog home. Our puppy had already learned the skills he needed to be successful; now it was our turn to get some training, and they were ever so patient with us. I was ready to give up on my rescue boxer until it was suggested that I contact FurPaws for dog training. I am so glad I did! Nazira's training method has made a complete difference in my Ellie May! She now gets along with other dogs, she follows my commands and is much calmer. I still have my work cut out for me, but she trained me, as well, so I can continue her good works! I can't thank her and her family enough for turning my rescue puppy into a much happier member of our family. My miniature schnauzer was spoiled and wild. She did what she wanted when she wanted wasn't necessarily a bad dog or at least I thought so but she had zero obedience what so ever. Decided to give fur paws a shot since I read so many good things about them. What can I say both I and my schnauzer fell in love with the ppl. They are awesome they love your dog just as you do. Always been scared to try day care or lodge and train because of all the negative reviews and bad experiences I have heard. Fur paws is just a great experience my dog gets all excited and happy and soon and we pull up she knows she will have fun and be taken care of. My rescue boxer just completed the 2 week obedience training with Jorge. He was having some problems walking on the leash and after the completion of the training he now knows how to walk properly next to me. Both Jorge and Nazira care so much about the dogs and that was comforting during the two week process. He is also doing really well with his commands. Most importantly they require you to complete 4 training sessions with the dog. I really liked this as I better understand how to work with my boxer now. Also Nazira sent pictures and videos everyday during the two weeks training. Nazira is the best kind of groomer one can find. She exudes kindness and warmth to people and pets. I found Nazira's Fur Paws here through Yelp. My sister's dog Chewie is staying with my mom while she is away on vacation. Chewie was getting kinda ripe so I volunteered to give her the full treatment so lap time would be more pleasant. Upon arriving at Fur Paws and meeting Nazira, I felt completely relaxed and confident that little Chewie would be in good hands and she was. My sister has a hard time clipping Chewie's nails -- within minutes of leaving, I received a text photo showing those nails were history. I would highly recommend taking your dog to Nazira. We contacted Fur Paws after we adopted a new (second) dog who was a big ole scaredy cat. In addition, she had snapped at our much smaller dog, and it made us nervous to leave them home alone. Our friends had good results from Fur Paws, so we thought we'd also try out the two week boarding&training. In short, Nazira worked magic. While our new dog is still sometimes scared, it is manageable. As in, she listens to us and we have the coping mechanisms Nazira taught us to desensitize our dog to whatever is scaring her at the moment (loud noises, sudden movements, men, etc) We've also taken our dogs here for weekend boarding. we brought our 4 dogs (2 shih tzu, a pomeranian and a pekingese) to Fur Paws today for a grooming and had a fantastic experience. The facility is immaculate and super safe and secured. We were sent pictures throughout the process and the dogs were all very happy and not at all stressed. We could determine throughout the process if we wanted the cut shorter or not etc. They looked beautiful. smelled great and all their nails were properly trimmed and glands checked, the works!!! We are thrilled to have found such a great groomer in the area and prices are very reasonable. Would not hesitate to use their boarding services if need be either. We used Fur Paws for private lessons to work on leash training for our 75lb German Shepherd. We were looking for training because anytime she would see another animal she would try to take off running towards it and drag my wife if she was walking her. Jorge and Nazira were both great working with our dog and were able to make a significant difference in just a couple of weeks. The best part was that they thoroughly explained what they were doing, showed us the correct way to do things, and had us practice what they were teaching during the lessons. I've been to three different trainers and several different groomers and Fur Paws is by the far the best!!!!! Jorge works with me and my Belgian Malinois on Saturday mornings on obedience and bite work. He is advancing more and more every weekend. I also have a 3 year old English Bulldog that's never had any kind of training whatsoever, now he sits , lays and stays thanks to Jorge. Thank you Mr. Jorge!!!! Fur Paws is a nice and clean facility. Nazira is very nice and professional and does an awesome grooming job! I was nervous using someone new and that my spaniel would come out looking funky, (especially since lots of people don't know how to properly cut spaniel ears) but Nazira did so good! My dog, Oliver looked good, smelled good, and seemed happy and comfortable when it was time to pick him up. I really like that she does her job from her home. I feel like it makes the environment more comfortable for dogs. I also really like that she sends pictures after she is done! Thank you, Nazira. I called Fur Paws at 4:30 PM on a Sunday and asked if they had time to groom my miniature schnauzer. They closed at 7, and said yes. They were also very understanding about the fact that I had just moved here from Pennsylvania and did not have my dogs records up to date, but was going to find a vet very soon once I get acquainted with the area. She messaged me throughout her process and kept me very well updated on what she was doing and how my puppy was doing. He looked AMAZING when she was finished with him. Let me start off my saying, I cannot thank you enough for taking my mini schnauzer in last minute, an hour before closing time... due to the big inconvenience of Pet smart cancelling my appointment. Our dog Charlie was raised in our house and we take him for his walks in our subdivision ,he is a great protective dog , however he lacked social skills with other dogs and people . He is always anxious and unpredictable . We brought him to Fur paws for training . What a difference after the training he listens to verbal commands and more sociable to other dogs and pets .
