    King's grooming done by Willie

I can't express how much our dog loves it here! He is always excited to come, which was a first for us, they have really made him feel comfortable. Both Paige and Willie have always done an amazing job with our maltipoo King. Thank you!!

We absolutely love Jackson's. Willie and Paige both do a fantastic job grooming our poodle and cavachon. Our dogs love spending the time playing with their friends at daycare! It is awesome for us to know we have a safe place to send our pups when we have to be away or work. The outdoor area really adds to the perks because our pups never get to be outside off leash at home. It is so fun watching them run around outside with friends through the best camera. I hate being away from my dogs so being able to watch them on the on the best camera is huge! Highly recommend Jackson's!

I've been bringing my dogs here for years first my late dog, and now my current miniature schnauzer. If you look back at my previous review photos, you'll see the PERFECT schnauzer cut they used to do. Consistent. Professional. Distinguished little gentleman energy. Recently though, scheduling became nearly impossible. Every conversation sounded like: "Let me confirm if our groomer is actually working that day..." After weeks of trying to coordinate schedules, my schnauzer's hair got longer than ever. He loves wearing shirts, so yes, he had some matting. I paid extra for de-matting and gave very clear instructions: shave the skirt, but keep a full beard along with his chest and paws fluffy. Y'all... when I picked him up, I genuinely did not recognize my own dog. He walked in looking like a miniature schnauzer and walked out looking like a scrappy chihuahua named Peanut. They shaved EVERYTHING. His entire body, his face, even his whiskers. HIS WHISKERS. WTF. I know hair grows back and thankfully it's summer, but I honestly felt bad for him. As someone with longer hair myself, if somebody sat me down and buzzed me to the skin without warning, I'd probably need emotional support and a hoodie for a month. My dog still seems happy and unbothered, but I'm traumatized enough for both of us. After years of loyalty, this was incredibly disappointing and totally unacceptable. We will never come back..

He absolutely hates getting wet and doesn't like anyone getting near his paws. Because of his absolute hatred for getting groomed, we only take him twice a year to Wag'n World. My husband missed her, so I looked around for a doggie daycare so she wouldn't have to stay in a hotel room all day. I checked several facilities, but in the end, I was lucky to find a facility about a mile from my hotel. I bought my Mini Goldendoodle Korra to the Montrose location for a day visit to see how she would interact. She had never been in daycare before, so I was concerned that she might not like it. I also called several facilities to ask questions. All of them answered my questions, though it was clear to me that some of the staff were perhaps making up answers on the fly. The manager took her time answering my questions and gave me some great insight as to how Korra might fit into their groups. All my worries were for naught. First of all, the first thing I noticed was how clean the facility was. All of the other facilities I visited smelled like a "dog", for lack of a better word. The staff was very nice, and they treated Korra like they had known her forever! They could tell that she was nervous because she did not go willingly at first, looking back at me as if to say, " Who are these people, and WHY are you letting them take me away"?!!! I told her she would be ok and the staff member took her time leading Korra away. She didn't drag her away, as I've seen some people do at other facilities. They also have an app to let you watch your dog whenever you want. I opened the app and let it stay open all day. I watched, as the staff introduced Korra to the other dogs, allowed her to follow them around until she felt comfortable, played with her, and encouraged her to go outside when time to do so. By the time I went to pick Korra up, she was ready to go, but her tail wagged excitedly and she seemed to have had a lovely day. The next morning as soon as I received my car, she jumped into her seat, again tail wagging excitedly. We arrived at the facility and she nearly dragged me out of the car to get into the facility! She had several great days until my husband was transferred from Houston to Florida because of the last two storms. We were both sad to go but if we are ever back in town I know that I have a lovely place for Korra, where she will be loved and looked after in. the best possible way! My sincere thanks to all of the staff at the Wag N World Montrose facility! We will be sure to come back when we are in town!

Even when we've moved further from here where it was no longer convenient, I still tried very hard to convince my husband to keep going here. The Vet Techs and the front office staff have always been nothing short of an amazing. I have no complaints with how responsive and warm they've been. With that being said, it breaks my heart that I fear I will have to be looking for a new vet. My dog usually has bad anxiety at the vet and it's gotten terribly worse recently as she's gotten older. Instead of meeting it with patience and understanding, we got the opposite. As pawrents, we're not opposed to doing anything that would be in the best interest of our dog and some tact would have been appreciated. The bedside manners of our doctor recently has been disappointing considering we've gone to her many times in the past. What used to be a friendly bright greeting with our dog and helpful insight has now transitioned to being short with her answers and noticeably irritated. When seeking understanding of why she recommended a product over another for curiosity, we were met with "I just do and you can look at that on our website". We chalked it up to a bad day as the office was chaotic running behind with road closures, we get it. The nail on the coffin was when receiving the results over the phone on a different day, and I was met with nothing but passive answers. I was trying to seek understanding as to why my dogs results were abnormal as this was not the first time she's received similar results and I wanted to know if there was a concerning pattern. My mind was foggy as I was trying to recall the history on the spot of her visits and instead of "I'll look into that for you or have someone do that", it was met with "no, I don't know what you're talking about. if you don't want to take your dog to the vet for a follow up then thats your choice" kind of attitude. I felt like I was gaslit instead of talking to someone who wanted to be helpful. I would like to think that I wasn't being difficult and it no longer felt like a safe space to get any understanding of my dog's situation. Her solution was to send the lab results over and I could look at it myself. So now I have questions left unanswered and feeling like the one professional I should be talking to is too annoyed to answer.

Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.
