Anthony & his dad at Furniture Discounters are great! I got the lowest price on the Lexicon McCafferty couch I was looking at -- it retails for nearly 2x at other places when compared to their price. I was worried about getting furniture delivered downtown, as I live right across the street from San Jose City Hall, but they showed up early, got it to the 9th floor, and installed it smooth as silk, and they did it all within 20 minutes. Seriously, the guy is a pro. I had a really good experience with them, and would buy from them again! They have a smaller selection but everything they sell is cheaper than other places, so if you're looking to save some money, I would check in every so often to see what their stock is. read more

After a day of browsing around the East / South Bay, we looked up this establishment. When we arrived, we walked in and was greeted by Anthony. Anthony is a great guy, clam and doesn't try and push you to buy stuff. He will give you the honest truth about products as well. That day we were looking at couches , dining tables and also got a new mattress (Eastman). This mattress is on a whole different level. I've been get better quality sleep and it is great for my bad back. In closing, I highly recommend who ever reads this to check this out. This is a private owned business. I am very disappointed in the quality of the furniture and subsequent lack of service or follow up as a long time customer of this store who has referred many friends, family and acquaintances. The furniture I have purchased over the last 10 years has been very good quality, but not the case anymore. I purchased a couch and love seat from this store two years ago that I paid over $3000.00 for it. A year later, the threads started coming apart and I contacted the store. After several discussions, they sent someone to pick it up. Less than a year later, the foam starts coming out of the recliner and one side of the couch. I contacted the owner, Anthony who after several questions and sending pictures informed me that I had a year's meeting warranty and therefore they would not fix it. He then stopped responding at all. I had to contact an outside service to repair my voice who said the foam that was used was only in certain places and the stitching was very poorly done. I will strongly recommend that if you are looking to purchase good quality furniture, find another store. read more
