    My S.O. and I were on a hunt for a new sectional couch but don't want to deal with the big furniture stores such as RC Wiley and Ashley because they tack so many fees on top of the sticker price so we tried to look elsewhere. I discovered Furniture Elegance through Facebook Marketplace and dealt with the owner, Kamal. We went to his warehouse/showroom in North Highlands and fell in love with the same beautiful comfy sectional couch with storage ottoman he posted on FB Marketplace. We got an amazing deal for it at $550 for being brand new/straight from the box including delivery and assembly. CONS: They are kind of hard to get a hold of when you try to call them and there was a hiccup with the delivery dates/time but Kamal himself made things right by delivering it himself and compensating us for the inconvenience. Overall, we had a great experience and will try them again if we need other furniture.

    Really bad customer service and will NOT return text or calls. So from the my 1st experience was not very great. We met with the lady with the dog and she informed us the owner was on his way, as he was the only one able to look up pricing for furniture in the catalogs. (No problem) we wait patiently. Finally he arrives and he shows us pricing and says he will be right back as he helps another client. We waited again for about 20 minutes and thr woman with the dog comes over and apologizes and say he will be with us shortly. He comes back over and he tells us what we want isn't in stock. He says he wants to check 1 more thing. We wait another 45 minutes. We get up to look for him and hes helping someone else. So we leave. No one acknowledges or says anything. Silly me, I decide to return a week later because I did in fact see a egg shape swing that I liked that while I was there. So the manager greets me and apologizes for the inconvenience stating he was short on help and he has been really busy. At that moment I decided to leave the let the 1st experience go. He was kind and honest. He had the guy bring the swing from the back. ( it wasn't assembled. It was wrapped in tarp and some sort of sheet/cloth material) He stated he will sell me the one I saw for $250.00 and said ok. ( they are NOT sold as a set) then I decided well I will get 2. He said ok that one is $250 as well. No problem ( Me assuming they will be identical in size) Long story short, They are not. He delievers them a day later... set them up.. leaves. After a few days we are ready to enjoy our swings and something isn't right. I look at them and I'm like they are 2 different sizes. One is so small an adult can not fully sit in it. So I called Furniture Elegance a few times before I finally got an answer. They lady with the dog picked up (I say that because I dont know her name. Not sure if she even mentioned it) I explain the situation about the swings not being the same size her response: "well they are considered a set so that's how they come. If I order another thats what will happen so I dont know what to tell you" However per my 1st visit it was told my the owner that they aren't a set. More so I've seen PLENTY of furniture places sell them. They are NOT sold as a set. In fact he had another gray one sitting there solo. So that was a lie. So I ask for the owner, she stated he wasn't in and try his cell. She gave me his cell number which I already had actually. So I reached out. Sent a text. Sent pics of the chairs....asking to order a bigger one no response. We kept the foam on it to maintain the condition.( See pics ) I was very kind. Offered to drop off and pick up myself. The part that makes it rather unfortunate is even if that was something that was not an option, atleast communicate that. Speak up, be honest. Not ignore a customer. The swing that I received is for a child. They are not identical and the fact that no one cared to follow up is POOR customer service and bad for business. I would not waste any time and or money on going here for them to just drop anything off and not take ownership for it.

    Beautiful industrial dining table w/ chairs. Thank you Becky and staff. Very friendly and helpful. Simple and easy purchase. I would definitely recommend Furniture Elegance.

After setting an expectation on getting the selected mattress and paying for it, we had to pay about 300 more. I understand mistakes can be made but that was kind of shitty. We do like the mattress though.

    I would highly advise people to not go to this business. We don't typically leave bad reviews,…read morenormally good reviews but this one experience was pretty bad. We were in search for a sectional couch and the gentleman who helped us, was indeed helpful at the beginning, somewhat throughout, however in the end when it came to true colors, they definitely showed. We chose a couch, and the gentleman told us to put down a deposit. Understandably, we asked how much and he said $600. So, we put down $600 on the couch. We go back a week later and explained that the couch won't work for us due to measurements and we need to choose another one. He said no problem ! Sales people can really get you to trust them and it sucks when they lie. We ended up picking a couch. Long story short, we didn't end up getting the couch ordered, 3 months later, we go to cancel the order and they said there are no refunds. We explained we did not receive our couch yet and did not want to wait any longer. Still, he said no refunds. You'll have to wait for the couch. I asked him how much is the required deposit. He said about 10%. Which what he had us put down for the couch was 40%. We asked for the other 30% back. Again, he stated there are no refunds. We did a charge back on our account and luckily got the funds back however we really want to share the experience as others might not be so lucky as you only have about 100 days or something to do a charge back and win. This business is very shady. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Well, maybe I would so they can get screwed over by this business. It's no wonder they only have 2 star average. I'm surprised they have any 5 stars as they are probably fake reviews. BE AWARE!

We learned Matthews Mattress is local and started by the Matthews family back in 1991. Great to know we're supporting local and Jason was able to give us a great deal! Our mattress even arrived a week earlier than expected. Their own delivery staff was great. They removed our old king mattress and bunkie board with ease and quickly replaced it with our new box spring and mattress.     Purchased two leather sofas less than 2 years ago (Aug 2023) from previous owner (Mike) for over…read more$4,000. They had lifetime warranty on them for certain things and the new owner (Adam) had the couches picked up because the issue was covered under it. During pick up, his movers did not handle the couch with care at all. They drug it down the metal screen door and scratched the front of my couch and they dropped my couch on the cement and drug it across it trying to pick it up again. It ripped the entire underside edge of my couch. Scratched the entire front part of them. Not once did they admit to it or anything. They tried to pretend it didn't happened until I reached out immediately with video recording of the incidents. The same day, we went by the store to check in on the repair of the couch, and the manager said that he would personally thoroughly inspect the couch for any damage that could've been done. He said the couches would be returned to the house in an hour or so. They arrived with the damage caused by his employees is still there. When I called and spoke to him, he said he did not see any damage which was a lie, and I sent the images to him again he said that he would reach out to the owner the next day and call me with an update. The next day the owner called and he said that they could paint the leather. Which to me is not a sufficient repair of $4,000 couches that were blatantly damaged by his employees. He proceeded to argue with me and said that he was doing us a favor by not charging us for the couches to be picked up and transported back-and-forth. In my opinion, I would have rather transport than myself because I know I would not have damaged my own couches like they did. He never offered any discounts, MIKE, the owner mentioned that to us, not ADAM the new owner. Also, he said "we are doing you a favor " by not charging for pick up or labor which this information was never disclosed to us at anytime until AFTER we spoke to ADAM. Adam has not been professional or customer focused. He was argumentative and lacks customer service. Just like his response to the review. The original owner, Mike called us personally because he knows us and he came out to look at the couch and did a small glue repair to it. He was friendly about it, but the current owner did little to nothing about the situation. He still has yet to reach out to us after Mike came out to take care of it. I still feel that even with the repair the couches are not in the same condition that they were prior to them being picked them up. And he did not handle it very professionally or customer based. I would not buy anything from here. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely be telling my entire family who has bought from there, since the 1980s, to stop going there. Spending all that money on couches to have them damaged and not being taken care of is very concerning. He could have replace the couch with another one of equal value, given a cash value for the cost of repair to have it reupholstered, or anything but instead, he just wanted to take the cheap route and paint over damage. Instead, he wanted to try to argue with me and tell me he was doing me a favor. The only favor he did was show me his poor business and customer service which will keep me from referring or returning to this place ever. A lot of business will be lost because of this.
