I was extremely impressed that she didn't try to push us at all and also recommended what fit our needs best and didn't try to point us toward more expensive options. We had an issue where the couch didn't fit through the door way with the delivery. The store manager was extremely helpful and said we could attempt a re-delivery for free if we wanted to try again. I went to Furniture Fair (Fields Ertel) back in February and had an appointment with Amy. Amy is awesome. Amy was patient and super helpful in finding the perfect loveseat for my space. She listened to my needs, didn't push hard on any particular item, explained options clearly, and made my experience painless. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for delivery and customer service. The delivery was quick, but part of the loveseat was bent in transport. It has been 10 months and I'm still waiting on a replacement part. It was supposed to be here in August but the wrong part was shipped. The earliest they're telling me is now January, which is 11 months since I bought the loveseat. There is severe wear on the padding on the parts that recline because of this bent part. The best customer service can tell me is "too bad" while showing a tremendous lack of caring. Nice furniture in theory, I guess, but good luck getting helped or respected if anything happens to be wrong. read more

Years ago, I experienced great service when I purchased a nice leather reclining couch and table from a saleswoman. However, I recently went back in search of a mattress for my daughter. It was clear the man in the mattress area wanted to sell me a mattress in the $700 range. He repeatedly stated that this was what a budget mattress in a spare room would cost me. He proceeded to ask me what I had paid for her previous mattress, and scoffing at the price, telling me that I could not expect much for $400. He belittled me for not recalling the brand I previously purchased. He went on and on arguing with me about other irrelevant things like his . . . brother's Mercedes. Bought a couch three weeks ago. It showed up broken. We emailed and called and they said they'd send someone to look at it in three weeks. Which is so stupid cause they should have just came and picked it up and brought a new one. Guy came and said we can fix it and I said no. I bought a new couch not a broken couch to be fixed. But every time, my wife and I separated by 12 feet, she would approach me! Bad experience. First they delivered the wrong piece twice. They corrected it but I had to wait around for an extra day. Then less than a week after we received our couch it developed a hole along one of the seams. We called right away to report the problem and we were told that fixing it would count as our one time warranty fix (for an extended warranty that we spent over $100 on!). Then about a month later another seam pulled loose. Never again Furniture Fair. I now have a couch that is less than 3 months old and am embarrassed to have guests sit on it. read more

Customer service is great. However, choose your couch fabric wisely. I didn't want the standard blue fabric. After about 5-6 visits I decided on the couch, which was no a cheap one. I spent a lot of time selecting the fabric for the couch and pillows. I fell in love with this deep red fabric, from the samples, that looked great and felt terrific. After 8 weeks it arrived and I loved the appearance. Then I sat on it, laid on it, and patiently thought I'd get used to the fabric. However, the fabric is horrible! I feel like I'm constantly sitting on sand paper. The fabric is rough and hard. Just use caution and know what they represent to you may not be what you get. read more

Years ago when my family just moved here, there was a lot of furniture shopping to be done for our new house. Thus on the weekends our parents would take all three of us (kids) on these furniture hunts if they knew they were going to be gone more than a few hours. Anyway my mom loves a more traditional style, so although me and my siblings easily found furniture for ourselves in IKEA, my parents didn't. Furniture Fair and Ashley Furniture were the two places they frequented most, although there were others too. And by far as kids we loved going to furniture fair. They had fresh baked cookies and popcorn popping. In the home theater section they actually had one of the TVs hooked up to a DVD player in this little hut like thing with a door. The three of us would grab our cookies (with a smack on the hands a courtesy of our parents if we picked up more than one), one of those red and white striped popcorn bags filled with fresh popcorn and settle down in the little "hut" to watch Lord of the Rings (there were a couple of other DVDs but that's the one we loved) for the time span it took our parents to decide on another couch, that one table etc. This was in stark comparison to other furniture places, where as kids with nothing to do of course we loitered around, complained every once in a while and touched everything. Which lead to the disapproving glares of employees and the occasional yelling. Needless to say we hated those trips. You may not have kids, so you may not care. But my mom got quite a few pieces she liked from there (the leather couches in our hearth room, the headboard and drawers from her room etc.) and my parents even had a favorite employee they called upon every time they went there. Our items were delivered to us and there was never any quality problems. Granted all this was roughly 5 years ago, so I suppose my words only go so far. As an adult/college kid now I can't afford the intricate wood furnishings (that I wish I could). But if I could, I would surely go back to Furniture Fair. read more

If you are looking to make a new purchase to upgrade your furniture and are in the Fields Ertle area. I cannot stress enough STAY AWAY from furniture fair. Last month my wife and I purchased two beds, a complete bedroom suit, a mattress, and a recliner. We were not notified that our recliner we chose was a "custom order" until AFTER we paid. Then were told it would be 4-6 weeks before it would be delivered. When we complained our concerns were taken lightly and they didnt even care that we threatened to take our business elsewhere. We decided that we liked the other furniture too much to choose another company and decided that we could accept the 4-6 week timeframe, and was told more than likely it will be here in 4 weeks. A week later I receive a call that the recliner we ordered is DISCONTINUED, another thing we SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD UPFRONT! That same week they delivered the rest of our purchase, and forgot a part to the bed, and had the nerve to say that they couldn't bring the part until the following week. After telling them they can just pick it all back up and cancel our order they decided to send the part out that day. It has been 4 weeks so we decided to check the status of our recliner. Today I was told that the status of the recliner is still pending and an estimated date of October 15th! Thats 8 weeks total and still no guarantee! Needless to say I am VERY interested in finding another more REPUTABLE furniture gallery that will actually care about their customer in the Cincinnati area and cancel our recliner on order. Worst experience of my life. I bought a table and chairs for $900.00. When it arrived it was completely lopsided.. I had to wait months for a replacement to arrive.. The employees were rude to me. The manager lied to me. The women answering the phone was rude to me. I had to renegotiate my deal 3 times. And then after all that, they wanted to charge me twice for the delivery. I know that COVID is going on, but what I've gone through to get this 2,300 dollar couch is ridiculous. They told me 6-8 weeks when I ordered. It's now been 4 months & they've pushed back my order 5 times now. Started in October, moved to November 27th, then December 7th, December 21st & now January 22nd. I have so many people who've told me their couches have arrived in a month or 2 tops. First time buying an expensive couch on my own and couldn't be more disappointed. For years I had bugged my wife about getting a bedroom suite to replace the eclectic mix of odd purchases and hand-me-downs, and a very old mattress. I finally got the green light to not only replace the mattress but to splurge on furniture when one of our darling cats ruined the mattress. I was never so happy that a cat wizzed all over my bed. I shopped high and low around the area. At Furniture Fair I found the value that we could afford and some styles that we liked. We ordered a suite with a platform bed and a California King mattress. Because it was a Cal. King were going to have to wait about 3-4 weeks. The memory foam mattress, and I love this mattress, arrived right away and we just tossed it on the floor for the time being. So here is why I'm looking back two-years and giving Furniture Fair 5-stars. When we bought the mattress it came with a deal to receive a protective covering and two memory foam pillows. One salesperson said that after the order was complete we mail in the info/paperwork to get the freebies. She probably said, "Mail in the paperwork right away because there's a deadline on this offer." Either way, I sent in for the stuff after the bed arrived in 3-4 weeks and had missed the deadline. The bottom line is that I called Furniture Fair, explained, and they managed to get me the covering and the pillows. It's not always easy dealing with sales personnel/managers, changing deals, different domestic and global suppliers, deals and paperwork. And when things go sideways it's zero fun. But when they do it's nice to deal with any business that will make things right. I know it was just some waterproof material and a couple of pillows but it meant a lot. I ordered a couch in November and was told I would get it April 16. Crazy amount of time, but with COVID, OK. April 16 comes and goes and we hear nothing. I call the store and they say "It is still on track for the May 31 delivery." I say it was supposed to be here April, 16. They can't tell me why the same person (Edwardo) didn't call me. May 31, comes and goes. No couch no call. I call again, Will tells me he will check on it and call me back but it is still supposed to be in the warehouse the week of the 31. Next day, John calls and tells me that it is not in the warehouse but should be this week. 4 hours later Edwardo calls and says it will now be July 2nd..7 MONTHS! RIDICULOUS! read more

The idea of shopping for a sofa has always been one I hated. Who came up with the idea that it should be like buying a used car, anyway? So I was extremely pleased when I met the staff at this location. No pressure on the sale, had a very timely and quick delivery date available. Walked in and gave them an idea of what I wanted and it was as easy as could be. Or at least easier than awful places I had been to previously. Day of delivery you get a 2 hour window emailed to you the day before is the only slight inconvience in the process. That being said once the truck pulled up it took less than 10 minutes start to finish. I hope to not need anything in the near future, but if I do, this is certainly a location I will be back to. read more

Went there for 2 items. My daughter bought a dinning room chair. It was not exactly what she wanted. I drove all the way to Fairfield to return it. No one was exactly sure how the refund worked, but all was resolved after a bit of drama. I was looking for a sofa and the sales person kept trying to up-sell me to items that were not what I wanted. My wife and I stopped in today to look around with the intention of purchasing a new sectional sofa. We walked around the store for fifteen to twenty minutes without so much as being greeted by the staff. If the store had been busy, I wouldn't have thought much of it, but I could count the customers in the store without running out of fingers. One employee even turned and walked in another direction when he saw us. I'm not sure if it was because we were dressed casually (shorts and a T-shirt) or if it was because we weren't old enough to be retired (like the customers who were being helped). I can't believe the customer service I just experienced at Fields Ertle Furniture Fair. I have been a customer for 10 years and have purchased so many pieces of furniture with them but I will never return after today. I ordered a kids full size mattress online a couple weeks ago to be shipped to the fields ertle store since it couldn't ship to my house for whatever reason. This little kids mattress is rolled up and deflated inside a pretty small box that only needs one person to lift it mind you. I could only schedule my pick up for a Tuesday or Thursday. I work 10 hour days both those days every week so I called this Tuesday and someone at the fields ertle location said I could stop by this Friday to pick up in the afternoon no problem. When I arrive there today and call to let them know I am here, the person on the phone said there is construction going on and they can't hear the phone I need to go in. Ugh okay ?! So I walk in and a saleswoman standing in the front doesn't greet me and seems so annoyed with me saying I need to pick up my mattress and she says I need to go to the back of the store to figure it out. I had my kids in the car so I asked if I could talk to someone on the phone from my van. She then took my sales number and told me to pull around back someone will bring it out. Then a salesman comes out the back with his iPad and says pick ups are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Like wtf. I told him I already asked someone at this location Tuesday if there was any other day and they said no problem I could come today. He seemed annoyed. It took him 5 minutes to look up my order again and then he comes back with this small box. I just don't understand. Why am I such a bad inconvenience? The parking lot was empty, it's 3pm on a Friday, and you are doing major construction ..so probably less business right now? Absolutely the best customer service I have ever had. Shipped with Amat and picked out the perfect bedroom suit! He was great and even made sure to measure the bed with the new mattress to ensure we got what we wanted. When the bed was delivered it was much taller than expected. I went the next day and spoke with the manager Amy who whiteout hesitation was willing I credit our purchase. Jennifer then stepped in and ran circles around the entire floor finding exactly what I wanted. Even found a different dress that was market down to match the bed I picked out! Seriously the best care I ever received! I will always come to you for furniture. Thank you for taking such great care of me. Is there a way to give a zero number of stars!!! In my opinion this place is out of control! Ok I could write a book here but will try and condense this complete customer service disaster to save space. Here we go: We went to the store on 1/31/16 and purchased 3 items, an adjustable bed, a head, foot, and side boards to surround the bed, and a 3 piece electric double reclining sofa. The deliver date for each was different, but we indicated we would take delivery of each as they arrived at the warehouse. The three pieces totaled over $13,000.00 I'm not naming the salesperson because I think there was plenty of blame to go around from the top down. The first piece to be delivered was the adjustable bed. In preparation we moved the current sleep number bed to another bedroom and cleaned all the carpets. The delivery crew shows up not in any type of uniform like you would expect from a company that sells some very expensive furniture. Next they track mud onto the cleaned carpets. At least the bed was what we ordered and not damaged. We notified the salesperson how unimpressed we were with the delivery service and that in the future they should have the shoe covers to wear as they deliver the other pieces. A couple weeks later they show up with head board, foot and side boards. They didn't have the shoe covers that we asked them to bring, so we asked them to remove their shoes. The pieces were completely wrong and had to be returned. We were assured weeks later that a rush had been put on it, but it had to be reorder and we would have to wait our turn. Guess they don't have the ability to work with the manufacturer to rush an order that was either ordered wrong or the factory shipped wrong. You can guess who they blamed. And of course it took longer for the second one than the first. Now to the sofa that cost over $7,000.00 (yes we were crazy) and was delivered months after ordered. This time the delivery crew had the shoe covers, but the top pillow of one section had been damaged and had a different color in the damaged area. So the answer was to send out a repair person who said that someone had tried to cover up the damage with a permanent brown marker, which now made the pillow impossible to repair. ( not that we would have accepted that). So he left with the idea to order a new pillow. You can't image how bad this looked, and it was a large area on top of the pillow. About now the store manager calls to apologize and offer a store credit of $200.00 to use in store for the additional purchases that at one time we thought we would make. REALLY!! Told them we had no use for a store credit at a store we couldn't get what we had already ordered. The other issue is a credit of less than 2% of the purchase price we consider an insult. At some point it was taken off our credit card. At the same time they were offering in advertisements 3 times the sales tax as a rebate. After looking at the sofa a couple days we discovered it wasn't assembled properly, and the remote control and cell phone could drop to the floor in one area between the sections and across the front none of the piece lined up. So now still none of the bed parts, and we told them the repair guy didn't take a sample of the leather and the pillow might not match. That would force us to return the sofa for a full refund. So here comes the repair person to properly assemble the sofa, and later that day a call that they would come get the section with the damaged pillow to make sure repairs were made properly. We were told on April 14th it would take a month, it's May 23rd and guess what, yes you're right still no repaired sofa section. Today the salesperson sent a text saying she was out of town last week and how did we like our repaired sofa!!!! Really she didn't check first to see if we got it???? We did receive the bed parts a couple weeks ago and yes they were right this time. There was a lot more discussion about all this than I covered. And I feel there is a disconnect between sales, warehouse, ordering, and finally and most important management. We have many other pieces from a couple Furniture Fair stores, and surprisingly we returned even though in the past, 2 other pieces over the years have arrived damaged. We had planned to buy some matching pieces to the bed and an entertainment cabinet also for the bedroom. I'll let you decided what you should do with this information, for us I think we will look elsewhere for the matching pieces. read more

She was too busy talking about a customer in the store with her male coworker. What a way to make an impression.
