We bought a bed set that looked nice on the floor but was very cheaply made once it arrived. the delivery service clearly chipped it putting it together and colored it in with furniture markers. Unbelievable experience here. I wish I could give a negative star. Do not waste your time or spend your money here. We were customers here before so this is what brought us back. Came into the store, the sales person came two feet in front of me and did not even acknowledge my presence. He went on to assist someone else. My husband and I continued to walk around and look at items waiting our turn because maybe he was busy. The sales person never acknowledged us. After another glimpse at the sale person who didn't even give us eye contact, he disappeared. I approached the counter to ask the lady behind the counter for assistance. Very nonchalantly she pointed to the salesman coming in from a smoke break. After stating that I was waiting on assistance, he told me that the prices were marked on each item. This store sells incredibly low quality furniture. We purchased a leather couch in June of 2013 and it is already peeling and cracking and pretty much tearing up. It is now just September, only 3 months after the purchase. And this couch was over $500.00 and suppose to be chocolate leather. Since the pieces are literally peeling off, I don't think it's real leather. Very disappointed and will never purchase any furniture from this store again. It's so bad that we will probably have to get a cover so that we can conceal all the peeling of the so-called leather off the almost new couch. read more

They are friendly in the store, but do not contact them over the phone, the worst customer service ever. Delivery is given as a 4hr window which turned into 2 days with no contact from them. You call and they keep you on hold for 5-10 minutes.They are not customer focused once you walk out of this store, ver short with you over the phone and take no responsibility what so ever. read more

WORST experience I have ever had! Went in and ordered furniture(they don't have anything in stock) on Jan. 25, paid half of the $1500 and would pay the balance when the furniture arrived the week of Feb.13. Almost 3 weeks was a while to wait, but this was an Ashley set and it was about $150 cheaper than the Ashley store. So we call on Feb 9 to set up a delivery time and we were told our set was on BACKORDER. They KNEW this on Jan 30 but couldn't take the time to call and let us know. Now it was going to be shipped on Mar 3 for delivery around the 10th. So now we are up to 7weeks for mass produced furniture! On Mar 6 my husband called and paid the balance over the phone(he was out of town) and set a delivery day for Mar 11 between 4 and 8pm. He asked if the driver would call when close since we live in a gated community and we would have to meet him. We were assured we would get a call. Well 6pm came and since we hadn't yet gotten that call we decided to order pizza. My husband went to pick it up- 5 minutes from where we live. He had just left when the driver knocked at my door(having followed another resident through the gate). He asked for my husband- I told him he just ran right down the street to pick up pizza but I was his wife and he could just bring the furniture on up. He REFUSED to do that because my husband had PAID OVER THE PHONE and he HAD TO SEE ID. No one had told us that!! I would have gone to pick up the pizza if they had!!! I called my husband and he was on his way back. I told the driver that and he said he WOULD NOT wait! He would go on to the next delivery and I could reschedule!!! My husband passed the truck before he even got out of the neighborhood! We called the store and were basically told that it was OUR FAULT(???) and that the ONLY thing they would do is reschedule for the next day between 2 and 5. Never even an apology for them not informing us that my husband HAD to be there!! Even the store manager (Michael) just said "oh well" we did everything correctly. I was livid! So we sat waiting for the call from the driver the next day. Apparently the driver tried to call but the cell didn't ring because we saw we had a missed call from a number we didn't recognize but didn't leave a message. We tried to call the store but they were calling us at the same time and left a message saying they hoped we were home because the driver would be knocking on the door shortly. So we waited about 45 minutes. Then called the store only to find out the driver had been at the gate 45 minutes before and just left! If someone HAD SAID HE WAS AT THE GATE we would have went to open it! But the only message said he would be at the door!!! So after talking to them for 15minutes we decided to drive the 30 minutes to the store and get it settled!!! Even face to face we got NO APOLOGY and then they wanted us to wait 5 MORE DAYS FOR DELIVERY!!!!!!! I refused and by this time we had an audience of other shoppers. They finally called the driver and he delivered at 7pm. He called when he was 30 minutes away, we met him at the gate and delivery was made without incident. WHY WAS THIS SO HARD????? We would have canceled but the store manager said we would be charged a 20% restocking fee PLUS 3.5% because we used our debit card! I asked for a district manager name(they don't have one) and the owner's name (Ding Chang) and an email. He refused. I said "ok-give him my number and have him call me". He said "HE'S NOT GOING TO CALL YOU. THAT'S WHY HE HIRED ME-TO TAKE CARE OF THESE THINGS". Well the store manager took care of NOTHING and left a very UNSATISFIED ex-customer. I managed stores for 7 years and WOULD NEVER have told a customer "I can't do anything". Even if it wasn't totally my store's fault I would have AT LEAST APOLOGIZED and done EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to make the customer happy so that he would shop at my store again. Guess repeat customers are not important to this manager. I wish I had just gone to the Ashley Furniture Store!!! read more

This is by far the worst, most pathetic, horrible, dishonest, non genuine, under-quality, poor-standard shop I have ever encountered in my lifetime. Anyone reading this review MUST NOT MUST NOT MUST NOT visit this shop for buying even a nail. They have tons of tons of furniture with them but they do not manufacture anything. They are basically a 'market place' where they just allow lot of scrupulous manufactures to sell their poor pieces. The only thing which will pull you in is their pricing which is way less. You will end up buying something. Few weeks later you end up throwing that trash of furniture purchased from them as it will either loose apart of break. I did my most blunder mistake few days back falling in their trap of 'low price'. Spent around $2000 in couple of things and now few weeks later spending more money to fix them or to just throw the furniture. I'd give thie place zero stars if I could. Their service is terrible and their business practices border on unethical. We ordered a sofa/loveseat set and when it came in, they scheduled delivery. After missing half a day of work, I called and ask why our furniture wasn't delivered. They came up with some lame excuse about how their other store accidentally sold it. We had already paid for it in full. Plus we found a craigslist ad their store put up advertising our exact sofa and loveseat posted exactly on the day I was called to say it had arrived from the vendor. They were unapologetic and not willing to help rectify the situation aside from ordering another set and letting us wait another several weeks. We also bought furniture previously from their and it didn't even last a couple years. They may have cheap prices, but that's because their service is terrible and their product is poor quality. Don't bother messing with this second-rate mess of a business. We demanded a refund and vowed never to set foot in that terrible store again! read more

I purchased an entertainment unit from David in the Barrett Pkwy store on Saturday afternoon. I was told that I could purchase the floor model because it was the last one available. I purchased the floor model and set up the delivery for this afternoon. My boyfriend (not me, no one tried to contact my phone) then received a phone call today saying that the unit could not be delivered because it was out of stock until March. I was not informed of this when the purchase was made, obviously if the delivery was set up for today. This phone call was so wonderfully received 3 hours prior to when the delivery was scheduled for. My work schedule had to be altered so I could be available for the delivery so I was not thrilled. When I called and spoke with Mike I was told that the company does not sell floor merchandise. I was then told I would have to come to the store to receive my refund, which is very inconvenient for me when it was the company that messed up in the first place. When I arrived at the store I received another excuse from Mike as to what happened. I was then told that the item was double sold (which is completely unprofessional). I then got to the counter to receive my refund and was given yet another excuse from David. None of the stories/excuses were relatable and I'm pretty sure were "cover-my-ass excuses". I was then issued an out of town business check so I then had to make the trip to my bank just to find out I am not able to use my money until the check goes through the wonderfully slow process from one bank to the other, yet another inconvenience to me. I am overall very very disappointed with my entire interactions with the store and will not buy another item from them, which is a shame because I had every intention of returning and buying my couch from them. read more

This place is absolutely off the scale when it comes to customer service. I tried twice to buy items listed on their website, and twice when I went to pick up the furniture, I was told that it was discontinued... mind you, this is after I had already paid and taken the time to drive all the way over to the store to pick the item up. They did refund my money, at least. When I decided this time around to call the store to share my concern that the practice of selling discontinued furniture was not great for the customer, I was spoken to very rudely by the store manager. He called me a "dumbass" and told me that I had probably never bought furniture in my life and probably ate of the floor. He also told me that I was harrassing them and that he "did not give a damn about a $200.00 table that I wanted to purchase" and that "one $200.00 table meant nothing to a store that makes thousands of dollars". (my dinette set was actually an overpriced $350.00 plus dollars). I would strongly encourage people to take heed of this review... let your friends and their friends know that this is how managers handle customers at this store. I recently purchased an Ashley Furniture sectional that I fell in love with on their sales floor. Exactly what I wanted, a little more than I wanted to spend at $900 after taxes but for a new piece of quality furniture, I figured it was still a deal. Two days ago I go to pick it up, and walking through the sales floor I notice that the sample sectional that I picked is no longer there (a perfect "L" shape missing). I asked the woman if the couch I was receiving was the floor sample, for which she "called" their warehouse and was told that it was sent in that morning. Yeah, sure, and I was also born this morning, too. She assures me that I am not picking up the same couch that has occupied a space on their floor for two months, tried out by many people and not cleaned before being wrapped up. I say okay, because I don't want to argue with her or insult her intelligence, but when I get the couch home and unwrap it, the Furniture Mall price tag is still on it! But yes, this couch arrived from Ashley Furniture this morning as I was assured on two separate occasions. I don't have an issue with used or slightly used furniture, but when I spend a large sum of money on something that I'm told is brand new, never been used, never been used as a sample, and assured is being "shipped in," that is what I expect. So I call her to tell her that I would like them to adjust my account balance reflecting the sample price of the item, as other items on their sales floor have been done (discounted tags for sample items all over of their store), she tells me that she does not know what I would like her to do, they sell everything right off the floor for the same price as the new items shipped in from distributors, and I could bring it back using my own resources for a refund. Had of I not been swamped and exhausted with moving, I would have. I will never go here again, the sales people are nice and so is the furniture, but it doesn't change that my couch was sold to me under false pretenses and over priced for a floor sample, and not to mention that they're was "nothing they could do for me." Pay a little extra and deal with people that will try to keep your business. We purchased bunk beds and paid for delivery and setup, the did deliver but the set up was questionable. I really should have inspected the beds before they left. When I went to make the beds the practically fell apart, thank God my Husband was there with me. We noticed the bolts holding the beds together were completely stripped and just place in. I called and told the manager the issue and requested the come back and correctly install the beds. He became rude and very distateful, I was told if I didn't make my payments they would pick up the furniture, I then advised him I'd paid cash was asking the beds be properly installed or they could return my money and pickup their merchandise. They get your money and really don't expect you to return for any future purchases. I called around to other stores and was told I would receive no assistance since all the stores were owned by the same person, that my best bet was to go and get bolts and correctly install the beds myself. REALLY!!! a store employee gave me that advise... BEWARE, cheap prices mean little to no customer service and the quality of the merchandise is questionable too.... pay the extra and go to another store, you will be glad you did. read more

This place has the worst service ever!!!!!!! When I purchased my daughter's bed on August 2nd they told me it would deliver in 2 weeks. I called 1 week later to ask for a ETA and they told me it was on back order and it would not be delivered till Sept. 17th. No one called to tell me and they told me the sales person should have told me that when i made my purchase. I called every week after that and they told me it's is set to be delivered to me on the 17th of Sept. I called on Sept 17th and they told me it was not in and now they didn't have an ETA that it would be within the next 2 weeks. No one called me at no point to tell me what was going on with my purchase each time i had to call them. They are slow and dealing with them is a major headache.
