This is my second Time using Furniture Medic and as a military member I've moved all around the world and my furniture has taken it's share of beating and dings. Furniture medic fixed my broken bedposts and this time removed every ding and scratch on Every Piece of Furniture I needed fixed. The movers were careless and tried to fix my furniture secretly with those cheap markers and I caught them. My furniture looks Great and actually most pieces look better than when I purchased them. I have a very unusual couch that I absolutely love the style. I bought it probably almost 20 years ago. All one piece. No cushions. Just like a long bench. Unfortunately the years of use & my pets really took it's toll on it. We shopped & shopped for anything else I would like but nothing suited me like mine. So it was clear. I would have to reupholster it. Found Furniture Medic by Experts & Chris was so patient & helpful as I took my time (weeks) trying to decide on a fabric. Finally, I nervously put my couch in his hands & was preparing for it to be " just OK ". It took a while but I didn't want to rush it since I wanted the best outcome I could get. I wasn't sure about going to a solid after the jacquard type fabric I originally had but the new fabric was more pet friendly. So cross my fingers & said a couple prayers that it would at least look somewhat OK. When it came time that it was done I was hesitant to pick it up for fear I wouldn't be happy with it. Much to my surprise it turned out so good. I LOVE IT! Chris did an amazing job. I am so thrilled that I did not have to settle for a couch that I didn't care for. Thank you Chris for your quality craftmanship. It did cost about as much as a brand new quality couch but that I still have the couch I love is more than worth it. read more

Bad experience with Coleman Allied with our move from NC to San Antonio, TX. What Coleman/Allied badly damaged, Furniture Medics restored to better. Never had dealings with this company, but the nasty claims Dept we were working with, uses them for repair of damaged Furniture items. We're happy with how this company brought our bed back to life. It's a king size wood headboard, side and foot drawers (captains bed style), and with the damage done in Fayetteville, NC when loading the semi for the movewe are questioning if this was where damage took place to our bed, was truly a miracle it could be repaired. I brought my grandmothers vanity to Chris because two of the legs were broken. I had spoken to Chris on a couple of occasions before I brought the vanity in for repair. Chris was open and honest about the repairs and that I would have to be patient as it would take some time. I was in no hurry so the three weeks were just fine with me. In addition I didn't have access to a truck until a week later and he was happy to let me pick it up at my convenience. When I did pick it up the repairs were perfect, he also took off the other two legs and put new dowels and glue in them so that the entire thing will last another 80 to 90 years. I cant say enough about what a good job He and his crew did. I'm so happy to have my vanity back, it like having a little of my grandma back. Thank you Chris for such a good job. read more

Quality of repair was overall very good. Unfortunately communication was poor at best. My wife had to leave numerous messages to inquire when furniture was completed and job took a lot longer than initially advised. read more

I LOVE Furniture Medic! We've been in San Antonio for 26 years, and I wouldn't go to any other furniture repair. Chris Claus and his crew do beautiful work repairing, refinishing, and reupholstering. They recently brought back to life some furniture from my husband's family. They raised the seats, added a little height to each piece with small feet and refinished and reupholstered with looks-like-new results. Prices are not cheap, but not exorbitant either. You get what you pay for. read more

We brought a large recliner in for installation of a new reclining mechanism. As soon as we got the chair home we realized that the chair was not fixed properly. It would recline at the slightest touch, without even a pull on the mechanism. This was annoying and dangerous. We called right away and did not receive a response to our voicemail until after we had left several messages. When they finally called back, they said that there was probably not much they could do to try to fix the chair,as they put in the parts that were provided to them by the manufacturer. When I told them it was dangerous, they said they could take a look. However, they would not come out; we needed to bring the chair back in. I told them that since they did not fix it in the first place, I thought they should come out to my house. We were told that if they did this, they would charge for a service call!! I do not see how this is an indication of standing behind their work. Very disappointed in work and customer service! Find another company to do your furniture repairs. read more
