I have been a Saks Fifth Avenue customer for five decades. I fondly remember my first Saks 5th Ave…read morenavy blue suit that was tapered, form fitting and Ooh La La. ( that's what I would say to myself.) I love that they still do have a good and continually updating variety and selection of different name brands - Armani, Gucci, Versace in this Huntington store. I love the easy access from the parking lot and that the men's department is just to the left of the main door. I have never seen this store really crowded. Getting something relevant and in my size from the sale racks( red tag 40 -50 percent off) by the Gastro Pub is the luck of the draw. I did luck out and picked up a nice shirt today. The bad- I was in an old t shirt, khakis and keds today. I walked in and three employees in the men's section saw me, did not say a word or a hello, just ignored me and looked away. So I browsed around for about 5 minutes. They kept bs ing about 20 feet away. The area was empty. I went on to the Gucci area and met the spunky and fun Rosanna who was sharp, funny and very cool. I purchased 2 bags for the amazing women in my life. Then I went to the jewelry section and the fantastic Alla was so resourceful, patient and helpful in finding a nice topaz and diamond pendant for Mom. She made some great recommendations and did show me the items on sale as well. I circled back to the men's area and went on to pick up an Emporio Armani suit. I walked it back to my two favorite Saks team members to ring up. The terrific trio saw me moving and one gentleman ran up to me and stated " Oh you did like that one. It fit ok right, the 44! I was holding a 40( lost some weight). " I just smiled and waved. Dear Saks ownership, HR and Management - I don't know if you can teach this. I think it is what it is. Never ever judge a book by its cover. The three wannabes who were playing judge and jury based on my casual appearance and tan led me to work with two real, authentic, awesome, professional, kind, humble and solid workers on the very same team. I picked up gifts and a suit and shirt totaling just under five figures.

I was told to return and give back $200 because the amount supposedly taken was incorrect. However, I paid the amount that was requested at the time of the transaction, and this request to return additional money has caused confusion and inconvenience I had received this request 6 days after I purchased the boots. I went back to the store and asked them to show me footage which they couldn't do. Never in all my life have I ever experienced something like this especially coming from such a prestigious store like saks. If they made the mistake ( which we will never know ) shouldn't they just have covered the 200. Really really bad customer service. Not a good look saks!

I LOVE Bloomingdale's as a whole. Even though this review as…read more5 stars, that's for the store as a WHOLE. If I could give negative stars to the 3 women in the men's department I would. Buyer beware of the women working in the men's department. If there are only women there, go elsewhere to checkout. Don't deal with them. I walked into the men's department to buy my husband a shirt and shorts he wanted. Needless to say, I walked out of the store without buying anything thanks to the people in the men's department. So the store not only lost a sale because I went elsewhere, but the women in the men's department need some serious customer relations training. I'm an adult who's 10 or more feet away from you. Not near you or anyone else in a completely DEAD department store. (the store was dead around noon on Wednesday (August 5, 2020) Don't you dare tell me what to do. All three of them just stared me down, made rude comments and then were completely rude TELLING me, NOT asking me, to put my mask on. I was walking towards the mens clothing section and these 3 female employees at the register, stared me down, made a rude comment "Oh look there's another one", and the woman behind the register was rude in telling me, "Put your mask on AND cover your nose". I was taken back and stared her down for a few seconds. Like was she seriously just THAT RUDE to me? I complained to management about how incredibly rude they were. I'm NOT a complainer, but they were just so incredibly rude. I wasn't around anyone. I understand you're supposed to wear a mask inside stores. But it's NOT mandatory. It's a SUGGESTION. It's a GUIDELINE. The signs outside of the store don't say it's mandatory. I have no problem wearing the mask, but it's all a matter of how you say it. They were just nasty. And there's no reason to be rude or nasty esp not when you're the employee speaking to a customer. It was just uncalled for rudeness. FYI I have a problem breathing through the mask. So for me to take it off and take a breath of fresh air and have something to drink I am able to breathe! Plus, FYI, they're saying the masks make you sick because you're breathing in your own breath and germs all day and that's just as bad or worse for you. Other countries are NO LONGER doing this. It's not a big deal if you take the mask down to breath or drink. You cannot STOP me from drinking, no matter what, it doesn't matter where I am. I also had a baby with me, you're gonna tell me my baby has to wear a mask too? Is that the next step? I'm a customer, there's a way to say things politely. But you 100% do NOT stare customers down or make rude comments about them before you TELL them, not even ask them, to do something. That's just incredibly rude. Did you NOT think I could hear your rude comments? Did you NOT think I wouldn't speak with management about your POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS? I really think all three of those female employees NEED to go back to CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING and LEARN how to speak to customers before they're put on the sales floor. They should have to take a customer service class every year to improve their skills and improve how they speak with and handle customers. If it wasn't for the customers they wouldn't have a job. If they're that worried about getting sick, maybe they shouldn't be working. If they're that worried about others taking a breath of fresh air and drinking in their presence, maybe they shouldn't be working. I'm sure ALL three of those women take their masks off periodically during the day ON THE SALES FLOOR to have a breath of fresh air and to have something to drink when NO ONE is around. I worked in retail for 11 years (from 2001-2012), and I would NEVER speak to a customer like that, nor would I ever make rude comments IN FRONT of the customer with them being in ear shot! Incredibly rude! Maybe they felt more confident and safe because they were in a group and I was a solo shopper with an infant. Regardless of how they felt, it was still incredibly rude! I left retail, not because of the co-workers, but because of POOR MANAGEMENT and RUDE CUSTOMERS! But never once was I rude to a customer walking passed me. Never once was I rude to a customer who asked for my help. Never once was I rude to a customer who wasn't rude to me. Never once was I rude to a customer for NO REASON. Moral of the story? You ASK ME in a POLITE AND RESPECTFUL MANNER to do something. It's not that hard to show others the respect you want shown to you. That's the bottom line.

He spent most of his time chit chatting with regular customers. I had to ask twice for a knife and fork and napkin and finally had to get up and approach him after asking him the second time and even then he took an order first after I kindly and respectfully asked again. I again had to approach the counter and ask for my check after waiting 10 minutes. Another waiter helped me. My waiter watched this and did not seem fazed and continued talking while leaning on the counter. Clearly this guy needs to be sat down and trained again. They were not busy. I am not that guy who is a jerk and complains about everything. I draw the line if I have to get out of my seat to chase someone to pay them. I tipped well, as I did not want to hurt his wallet and was I extremely pleasant. I wanted to contact Bloomingdales directly but they make it very hard. You can write a letter or call but no emails for complaints ? I will call but do not have high hopes. I will not be back.
