He cried the first day and wouldn't go on the mat. Someone from the team very gently got him to get out there onto the mat. They asked him if he would like to try off to the side and worked with him one on one. They eventually integrated him with the other kids. It was amazing to see his confidence immediately boost and him come out of his shell the way they praised his efforts! The team has been absolutely amazing and are very obviously well trained to deal with neurodivergent kids. My son has really found himself! Another note is my son has a brachial plexus injury on his right shoulder from birth. (Fractured clavicle from delivery) and has to go to physical therapy quite often for it. Taekwondo has been an amazing form of physical therapy for him as it works all the same muscles they are pushing him to work on! I came in here to get some information on the schedule in order to sign up for a class. I spoke with Nathaniel Ocansey whose first words to me were an aggressive "why do you want the schedule?" I explained I was interested in the gym and learning about Krav Maga, and he continued to ask me "why" like my answers weren't sufficient enough. He then proceeded to call me Difficult and give me a long winded story about how people come in all the time trying to get information but what they really need to do is go online and sign up for a class. I don't feel like this aggressive style of communication is beneficial for me. It may be good for some, but for me it made me feel like I wouldn't like his style of teaching. All in all-- I was excited to try it out, but after talking to the owner it made me feel otherwise. My advice to this location would be- if people are coming in to learn more, help them sign up for an intro class! Don't call them names and tell them their not doing enough. I came in one day at 4:30, not realizing they are completely closed. Called hoping I could get an answer but there number just sends you to a voicemail EVERY SINGLE TIME. They are worse than big corporate gyms with how they handle someone trying to cancel. Minus 1 star for lack of class availability. 10am and 7pm being the only times for a newcomer to make a class is tough. Minus 1 star for muay thai training. Paying $200 a month and spending multiple classes doing ladder footwork drills that the head coach did in high shool is a bit silly.

People there are friendly and welcoming but still serious about getting better, they take their training seriously but it's a relaxed vibe. The instructors are wonderful, very professional yet personable. High level techniques being shared here. With soo much experience on the mats you have lots of different Jiu-Jitsu styles to choose from. The amenities are exceptional. Nice clean bathrooms, changing rooms and showers. The front desk people are always smiling and helpful when you come in the door. While I haven't gotten to train the striking classes as I primarily train Jiu-Jitsu , they look like a lot of fun and they are training very hard with solid technique. They have lots of quality mat spaces for grappling and striking as well as workout equipment. There are many classes for people to choose from. Giving the most flexibility I have ever seen at a gym.
