When I picked up the computer and asked why I was charged $69 instead of $39, I was told that was on Wednesday only. WTF!!! Where does it say that? In fine print I'm guessing. The technician that called me seemed to be ok, he answered my questions, but the guy up front that takes your money is not nice. Very rude customer service. My husband had an awful experience about 5mon ago. We agreed never to return. The staff is just so cold and emotionless. Ended up taking my computer to a place in signal hill and got it back in about 7-8 days. I should of read the reviews :(. The Groupon is a scam. Horrid customer service. I feel totally taken advantage of and insulted. Here's the story: my daughter broke the charger input on her Levano chromebook. I am software savvy but not so much when it comes to hardware. I looked up computer repair places on Groupon & they had a good deal, $25 to consult & that $25 will come off the repair bill. Figured it couldn't be much more than $50 to replace a charger port. I was wrong. Got charged $50 for the part plus $8 for shipping/handling which took 7 days. For an avid amazon user that was ridiculous. I looked up the part & it was $11 with prime shipping. Then charged $95 for the labor. They were completely unwilling to work with me on the price but refused to give me back my computer until I had paid $49 for the consultation. They said my Groupon was not going to be honored. They said they would take the $49 off if I had the repairs done. So basically they scammed me for $104. The computer only cost me $120. The most expensive and NOT WORTH IT. They scammed me, on buying and installing microsoft Office suite. They charged me $164.20, and it's SELF-INSTALLING, if you buy it from microsoft. If you buy it online from microsoft, it costs $99, and you can have 5 users, versus the 'basic' online version for $69. Fusion computer NEVER TOLD ME THIS, and instead said i could get the license 'forever', and the 'discs' to take home. I NEVER got the discs. Instead they just told me that i could get it online 'next year'. Whatever happened to 'forever'? (their version). DONT' use them. There's 3 owners: Chinese guy is hard to understand & poor service manners, the guy on youtube - starts off very nice to get your business but will change his character once you decide not to do the $40+ ... +.... and all are inflated marks on parts and small materials used.. Poor attitude and quality of service then gets dropped like dead weight once you say no thanks. It you request to bring your own stuff, they will charge you double the price of what they would use on your pc/laptop. I don't mind paying for service and parts but is insane rip off ladder.. WHAT is WORST IS THE TERRIBLE ATTITUDE if you decide not to go with the repair is HORRIBLE... They shouldn't be in business as they all need to take some lessons in customer service and how to retain a customer. So basically, they are banking on you to pay them more than $40.... IF you agree to pay for the added services.. (basically nickel and diming you for everything).. They will provide you a semi professional service and accommodations. I took my computer here because it kept getting the blue screen of death. I told them to reformat my Hard drive and to reinstall windows. $43 down the drain. They did , i took it home, and 4 hours later it did it again. Took it back to them and said do it again...They called back and they said my pc was having driver issues and i had a memory leak. They recommended a new HDD and memory stick that they diagnosed as bad. I gave them a seagate 500gb hdd i had bought at best buy and said here's a new hdd and they mysteriously had the 1gb stick of rare mushkin ram that i used on my custom build. The stick of ram was $70....very inflated price. I called them 2 days later for a status update and they said my new HDD wasnt working. They went ahead without consulting me and said they had a western digital 500gb hdd that worked and that my computer was up and running. (i put the hdd they said didnt work in my work pc and it works fine...its actually running the OS win 7 which im using right now!) I came in to pick up my pc (a week and a half after the first time i brought it in) and they fixed and said charged me another $210 including tax. They also took their time fixing my computer, i having to call in for them to let me know it was ready or for status updates. A week later my pc was getting blue screens of death again and i took it to this kid named "Shadow" a pc gamer/hacker kid in south central who works out of his house that advertised computer repair on craigslist and got my computer running flawlessly for $30 bucks! The "shadow" has since then optimized my gaming pc and overclocked my processor, ram, and video graphics card and installed a few more fans inside my case. Dont goto fusion unless you want them to take their sweet time, be rude to you when you tell them the computer they fixed doesn't work again, be sold parts you dont need at double the online price, and wanna be frustrated. read more

However, when it came time to pay, the owner got angry when I swept my credit card when the machine clearly said "SWIPE CARD". He yelled, "Not yet!!" STAY AWAY! I took our Microsoft Surface here because it wouldn't connect to our WiFi suddenly. This was after we tried a factory reset. They quickly diagnosed the issue as updates we weren't getting notified and fixed it. So far so good right? I pick it up and when I get in the car I see 2 stickers on my Surface. One is their internal tracking number and that comes off easily. The other is a metallic one that says "warranty void if removed". Since all they did was update software I begin to peel this off and see the words "void" staying on my machine! Not cool! So I look at the paperwork and it has a 3 day warranty on all work. This means I get a semi permanent sticker on my machine?!?!? My wife calls to inquire and the guy tells her everyone gets one. She asks how to remove it and he says he doesn't know. She says she'll bring it in and he can remove it and he says "don't come back". So I won't. And I recommend no one else go here if you care about semi permanent stickers on you device. The service was fast but the rude lack of customer service had me looking elsewhere for work in the future. STAY AWAY! read more

Unfortunately Yelp took down my original review on this place, so here is a more "friendly" review I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS This is by far the WORST CUSTOMER I ever experienced in my life. I took my HP Pavilion All-in-one desktop to this place for a cracked screen. The crack was on the right corner of the computer and I but I could still see 2/3 of the screen, other than that my computer was PERFECT. I still used it on a daily basis and it worked perfectly, I just wanted to be able to see movies full screen. First problem: When I called Fusion Computer Repair they told me it should take about a week to get my problem fix, all they had to do was order the screen from a manufacturer and install it. It took them 4 weeks to finally get the screen, every time I called them they told me the "manufacturer kept sending the wrong monitor". These people didn't even bother calling me to give me an update on my computer, I had to do it constantly. Second problem: I went to the store and paid a total of $282 for this repair and gave the computer a try at the store. Now the computer with the new screen shows red dots all over the screen, black colors don't show well, now the computer is not running programs efficiently, I can't even watch any videos, flash media, and programs CONSTANTLY CRASH!. I asked them how come the computer is not running well, then the asian guy tells me that I have a BAD MOTHERBOARD. Really? The motherboard was fine when I took it to this place. Other than the cracked screen my computer worked perfectly, programs did not crash, I could watch videos, not even red dots were coming out with the cracked screen. Then they were forcing me to pay $175 to fix the motherboard. I told them I was not going to pay for that because I'm 100% sure that motherboard was not in those conditions when I took it there so pretty much THEY MESSED IT UP so they should fix it. When I made my complains immediately the asian guy and the white man started yelling and CURSED at me. They even kicked me out of the store. Good thing I had my cell phone in my hand and I was able to record these people, unfortunately I'm unable to post it here due to "privacy concerns". But feel free to search for it on youtube. The guy even called me threatning to sue me because I posted the video here. SMH. It's the information age and everybody should be informed of bad business like this one so thank God for Yelp and social media. Took my laptop there for service and the worker barely acknowledged me, he was too busy watching tv, not kidding. Got there 15 minutes before they open, but their door was open. This place seems to be stuck in the past. First, their advertising is a little fraudulent, the cheap repair is on Wednesdays only. 60 dollars to just look at it otherwise. Second, they, despite selling Dell Optiplex machines, do not seem to realize that these use OEM Windows licences which are tied to the motherboard. Now I was the fool who was having sunk cost getting to my head and I paid it, but it is very clear that this place did not even attempt to discuss with me if it was even worth it at all. Their confidence on getting it to work, as I tried to display my concerns was annoying. To their credit, the computer DOES work now. They know how to fix the hardware at least. Which is why they get 2 stars. If your computer isn't an OEM then you will likely have a better situation than I did. However, they do seem to live in the past, as they didn't even think this would be an issue, and they were concerned with me leaving with Windows 10 not being activated, even though, while annoying, it will not brick the system like they said it would. https://www.windowscentral.com/you-do-not-need-activate-windows-10 Windows 10 has been like this since launch, in 2015. Rick the technician in charge of Fusion Computers is a dishonest person. He charged me $74 for labor and diagnostic and provide no service. He was supposed to find a motherboard for my computer. After more than two weeks I called to find the status of the motherboard. He said that he found one for about $160 but the vendor is not reliable. Other possibilities is to order from China or Germany and again if the board is not good very difficult to return it. He asked for another week extension to what I agreed. Meantime I searched the internet and found a mother board refurbished and tested for $200. I asked him how much more he wants to order the board and finish the job. He wanted another $60 that I agreed to pay but wanted me to order the board. I told him that he is obliged to order because he is the repair person not me. He refused so I took the computer back. I found this place off of an internet coupon. $39 dollars to fix my windows 8 three months old Lap Top. My GOD I HATE WINDOWS 8! But with the new age of computers not having CD-Rom drives and No bootable keychain or disk.... And with out any friends left who haven't switched to Mac yet. (I felt like Daniel Day Lewis in the last of the Mohecans ) I'm the last one left. PC users that is. Well they promised one day and took too. Which ten years ago would not have been a problem but now its like a modern day version of the book "brave new world" but instead of 'soma' the drug every one is hooked on is called "wi-fi" I am no stranger to this addiction. In fact here I am on Yelp at midnight right? But Over all they got me cleaned up, formatted up, while preserving all the Data on my D: drive. The guys running the shop are courteous and NEVER pushy. They offer anti-virus software. AND THEY DONT TRY TO LYE to you and tell you your doing to get the doomsday Y2K bug if you don't buy their high commission anti virus install. They also explained to me how I might be able to fix the problem (As I always used to before microsoft forced this piece of crap called WINDOWS 8 ) down all of our throats. So these guys realize that teaching me to do it myself might cut into their bottom line because I can do a reinstall onmy own from now on. How ever because they were REASONABLE, FAIR, PROFESSIONAL. One of the worst and most dishonest companies I have ever dealt with. I bought a Groupon for a $99 laptop repair, but when I went to use it later that week Fusion refused to accept the Groupon telling me that they no longer participate in Groupon (although they continue to sell the same Groupon offer to this day.) They offered instead to diagnose and do the repair for a flat rate of $69 plus parts that would be about $80 to which I agreed. After several days they told me that the parts would be around $280 and would take several weeks to get, plus $100 per part to install. I should have walked out the door when they refused to honor the Groupon that they are continuing to sell. It is sad to have to deal with dishonest businesses like this. read more

These guys are technically proficient enough, but their customer service leaves much to be desired and they'll cause you much heartache if you let them. They get you in on the cheap with one of their specials and before you realize it they've made short work of your problem, like cleaning off your hard drive so you can then start fresh from square one, when you thought you were still discussing possible solutions. So...it isn't going to meet your needs, will cause you the same frustration as the original problem and your trust is now blown big time! Next, they promise to deliver the moon so you are expecting a "go" when you pick up your computer. Except that the guy who's swinging on the moon isn't available and when he is, they insist he never promised you anything of the sort. It gets worse! Then, when you complain, the owner unleashes a barrage of uncivil words at you and banishes you from his shop. Terrible, terrible business. Went off of Groupon which they did not honor. They use it for marketing and scamming. I wanted the keyboard replaced, but they insisted it would cost more than my computer was worth and encouraged me to back up the hard drive to an external drive. When I later opened the drive, I found that they did not back it up, as they charged me, just put the drive in a case. But they charged me for a new drive, the cheap external drive (which I later found for $10 that they horribly overcharged me for) and the associated labor. I went to this computer shop last year and the 1st guy I dealt with was nice and explained things to me. I had to purchase another hard drive and some anti virus software. It was a bit expansive but they did a good job. Not this year I take it there because my computer crashed again and all hell breaks loose. 1st I took one of the hard drives out of my computer and took my external with me so that all of the information could be moved. I expressed to him how important the 2nd hard drive I had in my had was to me because it had ALL of the documents I ever owned on it. He said that I should just put it back into the computer I agreed. Well when I got my computer back NONE of the docs are on there then he was RUDE. I will never go back there again. I brought my old laptop in because it crashed on me in the middle of "Shameless" -- Brent was very helpful - told me that it would be looked at later that afternoon or the next day at the latest. They called me that same afternoon and told me it was already repaired (hello excessive dust bunnies, dog hair(s), and pupping chewing my power cord) ... and I definitely couldn't beat the price!!! I know an awful lot about computers. I also take an awful long time researching companies that offer the services I need before choosing to use their services or buy anything from them. Fusion is the pits. I expect for your average repair job they are sufficient and perhaps slightly more barable than the Geek Squad, but from visiting the store and calling to ask some questions, it was pretty evident that these guys don't have a very firm grasp on what they're doing. I'm not saying they are bad at everything, but they are definitely not the best place to buy a new computer from or the least expensive place to have simple repairs done. Went in to have a new hard drive installed. Found the hard drive online for $ 65.00. They charged me $ 85.00 to install it! What a rip! Went on YouTube to see how hard it would have been for me to do myself and now I feel really stupid. About as mad as when Mattituchi tailors charged me $ 75.00 to alter a linen jacket I bought on sale for $ 50.00. I will be finding a new computer repair place. I should have read the bad reviews on this computer repair company, Fusion more carefully before I went in for emergency repair. I had a similarly bad experience as some of the posters had with bad experiences: (1) Pricing: (a) It claims to have a "flat labor charge" of $39 for computer repairs. No, that is absolutely not always true. Here is what happened to me: I brought in a laptop for repair. To look at it, it's $39. OK. Then when they found out what's wrong, I was told by one of the owners/technician over the phone, I would have to pay another $39 to fix it. I did not fall for that. I picked up the laptop and walked out. After I had walked out and written a review about the experience, the next day, someone else claiming to be the owner called to accuse me of misunderstanding the demand for another $39 to fix the laptop. He insisted they did not demand another $39 to fix the computer. (Note: he was not even in the phone conversation in which I was told to pay another $39. How could he have known what was said to me?) My hearing was fine and I did not hear it wrong. I know what I heard. This guy proceeded to threaten me with a lawyer. What customer service! When the customer had a bad experience, tell him he's wrong and threaten him with a lawyer. (b) It's again not $39 to install a new hard drive; I was quoted $75 labor to install a new hard drive that the customer brings in. It's $39 labor only if I bought one of their extremely overpriced hard-drives ($110 + $8 cables= $118+tax for a 250G hard drive that you can buy for less than half that at Best Buy). (c) Once gain, I was told it's not $39 to transfer data; it's actually $110 to transfer data from your old hard drive to the new. (2) Lack of Professionalism (lack of timeliness): I was promised the repair should be done by 12 noon the next day. Then the next day came, I went in at 3pm (almost 24 hours since I dropped my computer off). The technician who was supposed to fix the computer had not even looked at my computer. He was busy playing salesperson selling a computer. When I asked him about the computer repair, he just said, "Well, I have not even looked at it and there is another in front of yours and so I have no idea what the problem is or when it can be fixed....". Their attitude was, " I don't really care about you or my promise made to you." A new keyboard is about $25 in the market. Fusion is consistent with me in how much they overcharged for parts: 200% of market price. read more

They kept my laptops ALL day and when I picked up, the work I had requested hadn't even been performed! i had my xps 15z fixed there.... they totally Messed up my Bezel screen. I looked up on youtube on how to properly take off the bezel and put it back in. which i should've done first. turns out i could have done it better myself. these people are supposed to be professional in repairing computer. they're suppose to find the best way to resolve such problem, not the short cut. wasted my money. so dissapointed. i ended up buying a part myself and dealing this problem myself. read more
