I needed my expensive gaming laptop repaired and was scammed before by a local repair shop that gave me a faulty motherboard. This was the first time I went to uBreakiFix as a desperate last resort and they ordered a new mobo and replaced it within a couple of weeks with reasonable labor costs. However, there was poor communication the first time around and apparently the first guy thought that it would be acceptable to replace it with a GTX 2070 instead of the 2080 that it originally came with. Upon seeing a cheaper final price and promptly reading the receipt, I realized the mistake they made and asked them to order a 2080 instead, not minding how much longer it would take. They said that it would arrive in another couple of weeks and that I could just pay the $350 difference, no extra labor costs added. I was worried, but sure enough, they called me when it was ready and my $4000 laptop started up beautifully without a problem with a fresh installation of windows 11. Giving two stars for ease of scheduling appointment online, but the system was out of date and allowed me to schedule an appointment for a Sunday, despite this location no longer being open on Sundays. Ultimately I stopped in on the following Monday, but they then emailed me on Tuesday to remind me of my Sunday appointment (and won't stop emailing me... no option to unsubscribe, so I wish I never gave them my details). As for the actual service - well, I stopped in for a quote to have my iphone battery replaced. They quoted me $100 before tax, which is actually more than the all-in price I ended up paying at Apple directly. Plus the tech told me that they charge $30 to clean the lint out of the various ports/buttons. Apple did this for free in addition to the battery replacement. The value just isn't there. I should also note that the tech tried to upsell me to sign up for some kind of membership that he said was $30 a month and required a 3 month minimum commitment. It sounds like a scam, where they hope that you forget about it or don't want to go through the hassle of cancelling and end up paying even more for your repairs. He said with this membership, they'd switch out my battery for free. I politely declined and took my task to Apple, where I was in and out in under an hour. This was just my experience, and your mileage may vary. The location is in a nice strip mall with easy parking, so they have that much going for them. read more

I'm convinced these people have no idea what they're talking about about. I made an appointment to have my phone looked because I'm having issues with the charging port. The person I spoke with recommended buying a new phone because it would cost $400+ to repair. He said you can't just replace the charging port because it's connected directly to the battery. Now, here's where the review veers off a little bit. I'm a fairly handy person and decided to replace the battery myself - my phone is still in great condition so it didn't make sense to get a new one. I bought a replacement battery and swapped it out. Half way through, I realized that what the tech said about the battery being connected directly to the charging port was incorrect. The charging port is a component of the motherboard. Now I've wasted time and money to replace my battery because the tech doesn't know what he's talking about and, I'm still having issues with the port. And...that's on me for blindly trusting this tech. I should have looked into that further. But to bring it back fill circle, it just reiterates that they have no idea what they're talking about in terms of repairs. Also, their booking system sucks. I checked in at the location and told the guy about my appointment. He must not have marked it as complete because I got multiple texts and emails about my appointment even though it had passed. Great place to go if you need your devices fixed. My hp laptop screen shattered and broke, and I took it here for a repair. The team was great and diagnosed my issue and took a look at the rest of the laptop. They did great! I received a call and text regarding my device, as I was told that the screen wouldn't perfectly fit due to a small dent in the corner; however, when I got it back, it looked perfect to me! My husband noticed his screen protector was peeling down halfway the middle of the screen about 2 weeks ago. It is a Galaxy Z Fold 5. He opened a claim with Samsung Care+ and chose this shop as the authorized repair shop. As an FYI, if you have Samsung Care+, they do go through Servify. This shop cannot do any repairs on your phone until you open a claim with Samsung Care+ first. Once you have a claim opened, they will look it up via phone number in their system and will begin repairs. We came to this shop last Saturday (9/7) to get the phone fixed and had to pay a $99 deductible from our insurance with Servify. The repair took a couple of hours. They just replaced the screen protector, and it looked brand new. We got it back and continued on with our day. The next morning, my husband noticed it peeled again and this time the peel went all the way down in the middle. He took it again to the store the following Saturday (today) and had to go through Servify to open a new claim, which was a super, frustrating experience (review on that for later) but was finally able to get the entire screen replaced! No complaints so far. Thank you to Tommy, Justina, and the manager Valery for the understanding, kindness, and helpfulness throughout the whole process! David explained thoroughly what was wrong with my laptop (hinge broken) , how it will be fixed, and wait time to get it fixed. Although the 1st plan as to how it will be fixed didn't happen, he told me that my laptop is still functional and gave me important details should the fix will not hold up. Brought my mac in because it was saying i needed to replace it. I saw on the website that they do free diagnostics, so i brought it in, was a little disappointed that I was told I needed to pay a $50 "Advanced diagnostics" fee that would go toward my repair. After 2 days of evaluation, they found that my battery ribbon cable was loose, so i didn't need a replacement after all. I tried to apply my new customer $10 discount but it only applies to equipment, not diagnostics. Had a horrible experience. I got my MacBook fixed a few months ago and they let me take the computer without testing it!! I had to go back because they forgot to fix it completely and the WiFi wasn't working. Not even 6 months go by (literally been 4 months) and the screen is cracked. I had asked if the repairs were approved by Apple and if they used original parts which they assured me they did !!! Just for me to call and wonder why this screen broke after so soon when my original Apple screen lasted years!! They then tell me they do use refurbished parts for the computers !!!! I would have NEVER gone to them if I knew they weren't using original parts and their only excuse was that it's in the fine print. So don't trust them by their word !! Dropped my 12pro iphone and it started to glitch green/black screen, restart on its own and facial recognition no longer worked. Initially took it to T-Mobile and said it's a 50/50 chance fixing the screen would fix the problem. I called ubreakifix for an estimate to replace the screen. Price seemed reasonable. I came in and I was provided practical options and solutions to fix the issue. The following day I was told I would need to go with one of the other options to fix the facial recognition, but they would need to order parts. A few days later I received a call from an extremely helpful young lady (special shout to you ma'am-THANK YOU) phone was in working condition, like new. I had interactions with 3 staff members and ALL of them were extremely helpful! Highly recommend this location. This place needs some sort of protocol. Came in to get my front screen fixed on my phone. I give them my phone, take it out the case. Instead of placing the phone face side down(since it's already cracked), the worker proceeded to place it down on the back side which is in MINT condition. Maybe buy a mat specifically for placing devices down. When I get my phone back with brand new screen, the worker put the phone on its face!!! To top it off, when paying, there's a tip option. My Z Fold 4's inner screen stopped working and was told by Samsung to take it into a local Ubreakifix center. Luckily, it was all covered by insurance. SHADY not slim! I brought my phone to have the screen fixed under warranty. I filled out the paperwork and they added a sticker with my name on it to the back of my phone. I come back a few hours later to pick up my phone and what I got back was a similar looking phone but a lower tier/cheaper/smaller model. I looked at it closely to make sure and checked the back to see the same sticker that was originally placed on my phone with my name on it on this cheaper phone. I told the guy that it wasn't my phone and he went in the back and retrieved my phone. He apologized for the mix up. Was it an "honest mistake" or something else? How can the same sticker that was originally placed on my phone end up on another phone? The cheaper phone was a smaller size to mine so the back cover couldn't have fit and switched by accident. Took in a 2 month old Galaxy S24 Ultra for a manufacturer screen defect on the top left corner and was told by samsung that it falls under warranty. I got to this place, and without a second look or thought, the worker looks at the phone and says it's not their problem because the phone had a 2mm bezel scratch on the complete opposite side and to go somewhere else. Ok then, I will since you don't want to bother having customer service, I ended up going to an official Samsung store, and they happily helped me repair the phone free of charge because the screen was indeed covered. read more

I don't leave reviews typically but this company absolutely was terrible and I can't let other people get scammed by them. I took my kids iPad in back in 2021 to ubreakifix and the store shut down for a year and a half and I couldn't get it back. So I had to purchase a new iPad because the company closed down and there was no way to get it back. Fast-forward to Summer 2023 and it's open under a new name Asurion and they still have my iPad. I go into retrieve it and bring my New iPad. I brought in my new iPad at the same time which was having battery problems. They refuse to fix it and tell me I have to get the family insurance plan and it'll save me a ton of money. Sure enough like a sucker I sign up and have to wait 45 days to file a claim. I filed the claim 70 days after signing up and was denied. I asked why and they said it was a pre-existing issue. But this is only because that is what the store told me to do. I called the store, and the woman was rude and speaking over me and basically blaming me and telling me they were just trying to save me money. Then I filed a claim on another iPad that I've never taken there or anywhere else and it was also denied. I call and ask why and it was because they said I took it in there three years earlier. Granted, the iPad is two years old and have never taken it in anywhere for repair. I explain this, I have to take photos of every iPad I have side-by-side, all of the model numbers of every iPad I own, etc. etc. I submit the claim and get denied. I call and they tell me they have it figured out. Then I get denied again. This happens again and again and again and again. I get denied 10 times in a row over 2 months before I finally give up and cancel membership and the $29 per month that I had paid up to that point. I had to buy 2 new iPads for my kids, because this company was just scamming us and taking our money. You have been warned... Do not waste your time or money under any circumstances with these clowns. Complete scam. read more

I used this location once before with zero issues. Fast forward, I dropped off my iPad, about 5 days later I get a text to call for an update. I call, zero answer. A few days later I swing by, the place is closed. Weird. A few days after that I swing by, it's close, there's a sign in the window saying temporarily closer locations, and lists 3 none of them are this location btw. I called all the number associated with this business and all mailboxes are full. What in the actual fuck?! I'd like my iPad back. Something happened with the hinge of my laptop and i wasn't able to close it, so I came here. I told them what I needed fixed and asked them if they should fix some of the keys on the keyboard as well. Domes they charged me what I needed to charge. A month later, I get a call asking why I didn't bring the hinge cover in and I said I did, they lost it, but I just needed my laptop back so I said screw it, I don't need the hinge cover. Another week later (5-6 weeks in total) my laptop is complete. I go to open the computer and the keys are STILL broken. I asked them why they weren't fixed and the kung fu panda looking mother fucker at the front said I never requested it's he then checked the invoice and what do you know, I requested it, the technician just chose not to it and didn't inform me. I tell him I want it fixed, big back tells me I have TO LAY AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE for something that I already paid for. By this time I'm livid. I go Karen and ask to speak to the manger. He comes out and ask what happened and I tell him, he informs me that they can't replace the keys because they don't sell them individually to which I express I wouldn't be upset if they would have just explained that. He tells me he will call and see if they have individual keys and I agree. Bro keeps his word and calls me two days later, wallah! Individual keys are a go and it's going to run me $25, irritable, I say yes, he then says he will call me when they arrive. That was three weeks ago. That fucking dust monkey still hasn't called me back. If I had to describe this place, liars, unprofessional, and just down right dumb. The cold part about it? Our laptop which has stopped charging and weren't sure why this wouldn't stay on...So, we booked an appointment on line and headed over.. Dropped it off, told them what little we knew about computers in general, (which isn't a lot)... They said they would check it out and let us know. If it was the battery they would order one. They took the entire phone apart and they broke my phone!!!! Now I can't even make any calls and I don't receive any text messages. They handed me the phone glued back together improperly and told me that they do not have the tools to fix the phone. Now my cell antenna is broken and my phone is no longer working. Valerie who is the manager there is not willing to help me. She said they do not have the tools required to fix the damage they did and they are unwilling to even file a claim under their repair warranty. I went to Verizon to see if they could fix my dirty power button on my Samsung Galaxy S7 and they referred me to this establishment. They are located on the same side as CoCo Ichibanya, so parking can be a nightmare - I would park near the UPS store and walk the rest of the way. When you walk inside there's a small area to sit down and some magazines. They also have some screen protectors and phone cases for Samsung users for sale. Service: Very fast and excellent. I walked in, explained the problem to the man behind the desk, they took my phone to the back room, and before I could even re-arrange the contents of my purse, the problem was fixed! They ended up using alcohol to clean it - and when he told me that I laughed at how I could have done it -___-;. What was super nice is they didn't charge me for it!
