Small bass, bluegill and catfish are present in the lake also. The lake is maintained by the McAlpine Family, with Chase and Randall providing advice on techniques, tackle and water conditions. Chase is especially well known for his depth of knowledge in the aquatics of the lake and he is responsible for stocking the trout on a regular basis. Sister Scarlett and her husband Rob are managing the lake and also staff the General Store. All are super nice people and customer-friendly. The staff of Chris and "Tahoe Joe" keep the lake and facilities clean and in good order. Shout out also to "Paq" who is a multi-species angler and claims McAlpine Lake as his testing grounds for "Frenzy Spoons", which is his lure manufacturing businesses. Paq also assists at the lake and is quick to share his expertise with novice anglers. Some people "complain" that McAlpine Lake charges both an entrance and overage fee. Listen up folks, this is a private lake that has overhead costs including employee payroll, property/income tax, insurance and $$ per pound of Mt . Lassen Trout (10-12 Hour roundtrip) that Chase picks up and delivers every two weeks or so during Trout Season. There are other places to fish for free, if this doesn't work for you.

If I could give a Zero rating, I would. This place was not personable from the second I walked in…read more I signed my daughter up -- through the recreation department -- for a tumbling class. With that in mind, I though that this place would be more receptive to recreational gymnasts. But when I told the person at the front desk that I signed her up that way, she seemed off-put by the idea and talked to me and treated us in a way that may have well of been a hate crime. I allowed for that, assuming that maybe that woman had an off night. Then I went in and the instructor was inconsiderate of my 6-year-old daughter amongst the youngsters, impatient that she wasn't up to speed with some of the more advanced kids. My daughter ultimately stopped herself in her tracks 20 minutes into her four-week course in tears and we took her out of the class and didn't bring her back any other times. This organization should be punished for the way they treat kids trying to learn. I wish I could punish them in the wallet so they could suffer because I know this review won't do enough. At the very least, I wish I could have my money back for the class that I spent on for nothing. This place has a INFINITE NEGATIVE score for their awful service and shouldn't be in business now or ever. Shame on them all. To work with kids, they should have more patience and consideration. They suck. Now and for all eternity. Yours truly Giovanni

I had my daughters birthday party here and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This place has a…read moreparty room where you can use - they let you bring in your own food, drinks, and desserts (cake). The room comes with tables and chairs as well. For the party we had 2 dedicated instructors that led the kids through various activities - trampoline, rock wall climbing, balance beam, floor games, obstacle and course and at the end a huge blow up that the kids go through a few times. All the kids were interested in the activities and had a blast doing them. The people from the venue to help were very nice and super accommodating. The venue room is great for smaller sized parties as the space is limited, it does get warm in the summer so be prepared. Overall I was very happy and impressed with our experience.

We've been to most of the parks in the greater Bay Area and yesterday was our first time here. All the parks have been a great experience for us. They each have something we like, there's woodsball up north, nice variety in the central valley, we've had fun at all of them. So when I say that this was our favorite place, it means something. First off, great prices and superb staff to help you out. Geared towards the first time player but not limited in the least bit to new players. The fields are excellent, COD fans will have a familiar field to play on! The players we encountered were all good friendly people, both other teens/young adults and adults were friendly to my sons and I and it was a nice mix of teams. Lastly. The pro-shop and management team, the owner/operator and his managers are there to make sure you are enjoying your visit. I spent some time talking with them and they are committed to making your experience a long lasting memory. You want to build those core memories with your family and friends? They are the guys to help you do that. The Park is not limited to paintball, there's other activities available even for the really young ones. We'll be going back again soon!

The team delivered exceptional service, and the space offered plenty of acreage for kids/teenagers to have fun, paintball was definitely a hit. All attendees indicated they would gladly return. The option to DoorDash food or bring our own made planning even easier. Totally recommended for teenagers birthday parties or just any celebration.
