The down side is public restrooms are not kept up, missing faucets, plugged drains in sinks and showers, no toilet paper - definitely needs attention.

There was an incident, but his mother was handling it and trying to calm him down. The owner of Fusion Elite All Stars came out and kept telling her son to calm down. My wife's cousin told the owner that she is handling it, because him yelling at her son is making things worse. My wife's cousin explained to the owner, that her son has a disability and she, his mother, is handling it. The owner said to her and I quote, "That is not a disability problem, but a parental problem". That was completely rude and horrible to say to a mother, who is already stressed trying to calm her son down. We and the large party who attended today will not come to this place ever again.

They'll then give you a code so you can enter the upper ranch entrance. The views were really nice! There were a lot dirt bikers out there in the beginning. But as you progress inland, you'll start to see more off road cars. We went to both obstacle courses (4x4 and Adventure Track). The 4x4 obstacle course was more technical and advanced. We saw a few people get stuck in certain places, thankfully there were a bunch of people willing to help out. The adventure track was more doable, there were usually 2 (easier/harder) options to get to a destination. Great experience! Would definitely come back again.

Chase is especially well known for his depth of knowledge in the aquatics of the lake and he is responsible for stocking the trout on a regular basis. Sister Scarlett and her husband Rob are managing the lake and also staff the General Store. All are super nice people and customer-friendly. The staff of Chris and "Tahoe Joe" keep the lake and facilities clean and in good order. Shout out also to "Paq" who is a multi-species angler and claims McAlpine Lake as his testing grounds for "Frenzy Spoons", which is his lure manufacturing businesses. Paq also assists at the lake and is quick to share his expertise with novice anglers. Some people "complain" that McAlpine Lake charges both an entrance and overage fee. Listen up folks, this is a private lake that has overhead costs including employee payroll, property/income tax, insurance and $$ per pound of Mt . Lassen Trout (10-12 Hour roundtrip) that Chase picks up and delivers every two weeks or so during Trout Season. There are other places to fish for free, if this doesn't work for you.

With that in mind, I though that this place would be more receptive to recreational gymnasts. But when I told the person at the front desk that I signed her up that way, she seemed off-put by the idea and talked to me and treated us in a way that may have well of been a hate crime. I allowed for that, assuming that maybe that woman had an off night. Then I went in and the instructor was inconsiderate of my 6-year-old daughter amongst the youngsters, impatient that she wasn't up to speed with some of the more advanced kids. My daughter ultimately stopped herself in her tracks 20 minutes into her four-week course in tears and we took her out of the class and didn't bring her back any other times. This organization should be punished for the way they treat kids trying to learn. I wish I could punish them in the wallet so they could suffer because I know this review won't do enough. At the very least, I wish I could have my money back for the class that I spent on for nothing. This place has a INFINITE NEGATIVE score for their awful service and shouldn't be in business now or ever. Shame on them all. To work with kids, they should have more patience and consideration. All the kids were interested in the activities and had a blast doing them. The people from the venue to help were very nice and super accommodating. The venue room is great for smaller sized parties as the space is limited, it does get warm in the summer so be prepared. Overall I was very happy and impressed with our experience.

Our family thought it was worth it. Pfeiffer Beach was our eighth and longest stop during our southbound journey on the Cabrillo highway through Big Sur. Access is through Sycamore Canyon Road (one lane) which is extremely easy to miss from the highway. It is a one lane road but has many areas where one can turn off to let oncoming cars pass, though I can imagine when it gets busy how much more difficult it would become. We had left Carmel early in the morning, so it was about 07:48 when we reached the bottom. As we drove down, my wife noticed a lone, empty chair about halfway down. Later we realized that that is where a ranger would sit to tell cars to go back up, once the limited parking lot near the beach got full. The car entrance had yet to be manned, so we paid per vehicle fee via cash in an envelope deposited in a fee drop box. The tear off stub is then displayed on your dash. Later when we were leaving, there were employees manning the area, accepting payment, with credit cards being accepted. The parking is administered by a private company so our America the Beautiful National Park pass did not work here. We were the 2nd car in the lot. There are angled handicap spots, motorcycle parking, and bathrooms (outhouse style) in the parking area. There is definitely more beach space than there are parking spots, so if you are able to get to the beach, one can easily find a secluded spot. Though as the no refund sign warned, there is high winds and blowing sand on the beach so not the best place for a warm, sunny beach day. There are streaks of purple sand along the beach (learned that the purple is caused by garnet powder that washes down from surrounding areas). It made the white sand look like it had dirt spots. I did have time to walk to both ends of the beach, and discovered that at the north end, there are pockets of sand further away from the ocean where the garnet sand is a lot more prevalent. The beach is named after the pioneer, Michael Pfeiffer. Many other places in the area (Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park) are named after his descendants. The beach is for day use only, and is open from sunrise to sunset. What's interesting about this is how many reviews are on Yelp for this beach, even though there was no cell service when we went. It clearly shows a lot of Yelpers are coming to this beach, and taking the effort to write about it once they get back to an area that has internet. But there are no reviews for any of the vista points in the surrounding areas. Maybe they aren't being approved by Yelp to be searchable?

She does such an amazing job & really makes you feel like family and sees each child for the special little individual they are. Each celebration, concert, holiday, spaghetti feed etc. always felt like a great big family coming together. But it's only an okay park. It can be nice to relax at on fine days...but you frequently have to put up with the aroma of dog poop (make sure you check before you sit). There is at least a wide expanse of grass, with a few large trees for shade, although they're not really in the parts of the park you want to sit at. If you feel like doing the picnic/barbeque thing, there's a patio for that, as well...but it's fairly rundown and the grills are more than a little rusty. The play structure there is pretty generic. I like the swings...they've got that old, classic thing going on, with authentic squeaks and everything. It has bathrooms. I've never used them, because I assume they're kind of gross. Could be great, though. I don't really know. There's also a "Club House," but I don't really know what it's for. Events, I guess? The second best part of Dunne Park CAN be the small rose garden. I say "can" because the garden only seems to be tended (sort of) half of the time. There are plenty of crawly critters in there, so be careful if you feel like picking one of the few perfect roses you find. THE best part of this place is that the fault line runs through it down the gray dirt path. You can actually see it. It's pretty cool. As a bonus, the ice cream man rides by on his bike pretty frequently. Watch for him on a hot day.
