Very clean, fun swimming place for the whole family! I took my 5-year-old grandson and we had a blast. There are ample tables and chairs around the pool. . The water gradually gets deeper as you enter main swim area which is maybe 3 feet deep. There is a roped off section that is maybe 4-5 feet. I was impressed with the young people who work at this facility. Friendly and nice. Young lifeguards are attentive and plentiful. Such a jewel for summer pool fun for families. read more

The staff is responsive and family friendly. My daughter cut her toe the staff immediately jumped into action with their child friendly first aid skills. Also, the blood that was in the pool deck was immediately cleaned up. read more

This was my first time here. I had previously gone to the Morgan Hill Aquatic Center. But this place is so much better! I like how they have lounge chairs along with tables in the shade to accommodate all people. We are able to see the whole pool area (unlike aquatic center). The parking is mostly shaded. The cost is $5 a person. They have a snack bar with limited items, but you are able to bring in your own food/drinks/ice chest! They have two areas which are well watched by numerous lifeguards for safety. One area is a large lap-pool with 2 diving boards, lap swimming and they test kids on swimming if they can go in the deep end which is 13 feet. The kid area has 2 slides; one enclosed and the other open. a play structure with numerous things to play with/on. Very clean and also have bathrooms and outside showers. read more

So my son moved from the toddler class to the next level where I am not allowed passed the red chain. I took my son for his first lesson in that class the other day. I tried sitting next to the pool due to my kid having to be told constantly not to wonder off. I was yelled at and told to go sit behind the red chain. I had a bad feeling already so I sat as close as I could and stared at my son the entire time. Everything was going great and felt at ease even when the life guard walked over to the section where my son was standing feet from him. I look away for one second and look back and I don't see my son. I stand up and I can see he is fully underwater passed the last step. I immediately start sprinting over towards him. The life guard is standing there still not seeing what is going on right in front of her. The swim instructor is out with another kid not seeing what is happening. I am still sprinting and jump in while my son is completely under water drowning. I grab my son and pull him up and out of the pool. That is when the life guard and instructor finally realize what just happened. 3 year old is drowning in front of you and you don't realize it for more than 5 seconds. Sorry you should be fired. I will not be taking my kid back here and urge all parents never take your eyes off your kids. Even if left with someone who is "qualified". Don't trust anyone with your kids period always be watching. read more

I only give it 4 instead of 5 stars because they do not allow floatation devices or life jackets for the kids - to encourage parents to watch their kids closely is what they say. $5 per person on weekdays and $7 on weekends. $60 per person for the season and $200 for a family of 4 or more. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! I have a 2 & 3 year old, so the gentle slope is perfect and all of us have a blast. Love that you can bring your own food and drinks in. The lifeguards are attentive and seem to catch everything. $7 per person over 2, ins & out, plenty of parking, and so many options for families of all ages. I'm a former competitive swimmer, so the fact that my husband can watch the kids while I do a few laps is perfect! There is limited lounge chairs and tables, which is first come first serve, but you can bring your own. No floaties allowed in the pool, but the water is so shallow, you don't need them. We'll be getting a season pass this year and can't wait to abuse it! read more

i love this place and take my kids (ages 12 and 15) and their friends for a day of swimming. A great place for various ages from the little kiddies to teens to the older crowd. They have the large pool with diving boards. They also have classes before and after pool hours. Great music too! You can take food for pool parties. When the weather is just right (and not too hot), it makes for a perfect day at the pool. read more

I read a review who gave 5 stars on the same day I was there 7/22/2016. A small boy drowned and had to be given CPR. There were at least 30 lifeguards and I got to witness 1 run half way across the pool to dive in and save him. I witnessed at least 4 of them standing around the boy while they had him on his side and what seemed like scratching their heads waiting for someone else who was authorized to give him CPR. It seemed to me that it was one of the customers who had to give CPR and ultimately fill out a report. Meanwhile, all the other customers were moved quickly to the other side bleachers in the blazing hot sun barefoot, no sun block, no shade, no water to get heat stroke. I timed it. It took 30 minutes for paramedics to show. I will not be going back. God forbid there be an accident your kid will be in trouble. read more

We go here every summer & love it! You can bring in your own food & swim all day for $8. It would be nice if they would put more umbrellas around the area it does get very hot and the covered tables are always hard to get not enough room. Would also be nice if they sold more food items. Also the kids that work there could use some training on customer service! They are not very friendly, one girl was yelling at her coworker all loud throwing F*** bombs left & right with little kids around. They are pretty unprofessional in my opinion! read more

We moved to Gilroy about 10 months ago so this is our first summer here. We are so lucky to live so close to the CHS Aquatic Center. The facility is beautiful and well kept. But the most important is that the staff are well trained. We actually just left the waterpark a few minutes ago; they had to close it because there was an accident. A boy and his young family/friends were playing rough in the pool and the boy went down the pool. The lifeguards on duty stayed calm, rescued the boy and the manager on duty performed CPR. Some of the staff were directing the guests to move to another location to clear the area. All were done smoothly, orderly, and calmly. The boy was revived by the duty manager and soon the paramedics arrived and took the boy to the hospital to be checked. I'd like to commend the staff for a job well done. Thank you. My family and I feel safe coming back to this facility. read more

We come here semi-often in the summer. I have never been to a pool with so many life guards! They all seem to be paying attention and alert too! My son loves the slide. I like that their pools aren't super chlorine-y. I think the big pool is salt water. Fun kiddie area. Great place to spend a hot day in Gilroy. Staff is super friendly. read more

The outdoor pool at Christopher High is finally open to the public. Summer season, 6/19 - 8/5/2012 : 11:30am - 6:30pm Tuesday - Sunday, closed Mondays. Pre- and Post-season, 5/26 - 6/17 and 8/11 - 9/2/2012: 12 - 5pm Winter season 9/2 - May 2013: closed Lap swim, slide, and shallow area for the kids. Outdoor showers and nice bathroom facilities, but no locker room. With a locker room I would give it 5 stars. read more

Great little water park for the young and old. $5 to get in was a great price. I love that you can bring in your own food and drinks. The only downside is there's not a lot of seating so make sure you get there early. read more

This place is so fun thank you to who's ever idea it was to open a great place near home, it's wonderful to go hang out for a few hours eat lunch in there which you can take inside, and it's only $5 per person to get in, this is our go to place alot of the time,and it's never over crowded. read more

We love this place! I've take my boys for private swim lessons at CHS Aquatic Center for the last three summers, and they've had a blast! This year, we even got a season pass, and it's more than paid for itself. My sons love going down the water slides, swimming in the big Olympic sized pool and even jumping off the diving boards! I also love that they have several dedicated swim lanes roped off at all times so that adults and active swimmers can enjoy a lane to themselves to swim laps or practice strokes. All the kids who work there as lifeguards and swim instructors are super nice and friendly. I totally recommend for a great way to beat the summer heat in Gilroy! read more

Terrific place for all ages - deep pool and two slides for my older child and advanced swimmer, a really large area for wading in with gentle slope, sprayers and mini slides for my toddler. Tables and benches readily available but on weekends get there early to secure a spot. Pricey but so worth the clean, state of the art filtration. Didn't feel overly chlorinated, wonder if it's a salt water pool? There were tons of friendly, happy employees lifeguards - so you are paying for the great service and safety too. $5 weekdays per person, $7 weekends. This place was great. I just visited for my first time last week. Cost is affordable $5 week day and $7 weekend. The part I love best about this place is they let you bring in your own food. I saw people rolling in coolers, bringing in boxes of pizza, trays of sandwiches etc. The only downside is I wish there was more seating available. You have to arrive early to get a lounge chair or table. Also, they do not allow life jackets. The water is very shallow in the toddler area. My 4 year old was okay without one but it was scary when she tried to cross over to the other side where the water was deeper. read more
