Food: quick order of food even towards closing time. Meat was very tender, the pasta was cheesy with a slight kick. Passion fruit juice is highly recommended! Ambiance: colorful paintings around, music playing immerses you in the small dining area. Very cozy.

Yum! I was surprised to find peruvian food in college station but this place smacks. The service is super friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. My sister got the Tallarin a La Huancaina, the spaghetti was incredible. The lomo saltado was also amazing, my sister said the beef was a bit too chewy though. I tried the chafe de mariscos, seafood soup. Also delicious, it was a HUGE portion though. Amazing food!

2nd time here, this time we brought our mom with us. Simple place with big flavors. We had the fried plantains and tostones. Really good. We also had the arroz chaufu (fried rice) and the ceviche de mariscos. I'm not big on octopus or mussels, but the flavor of the ceviche is very good, really enjoyed the sweet potato that is served with it. And of course the rice is amazing!!!!! We loved the hand painted pictures that were painted by local kids for decoration. Added a quaintness and a sweetness to the place.

Good food! The restaurant was a little hot. And many of the dishes we had to ask about because we had never tried Peruvian food. However, it was a good experience!

The food was delicious! Staff was very friendly. Great portion sizing but it is a little expensive.

    Fried fish- kids loved it!!

Haven't written a review in a while but our views have changed since the original review because now fusion peru is one of our go to's! The prices are still higher and they don't have a kids meal which is a bummer but the kids love the fried fish dish and all split that- it ends up being about $5 a kid which is like a kids meal. We love the fish tacos!! So tender and juicy and flavorful!! Highly recommend!! This place is a true local gem/hole in the wall at its finest! They have great passion fruit juice we get and then dilute and share because it's pretty sweet/thick. We also love the tallarin verde but get it with the lomo saltado instead of the big steak because we love the veggies with it. Everything is super flavorful and they even have homemade gelato!! We love this place!! Be careful because you can end up spending a lot because everything is so good! My husband enjoys the fried plantains too! Highly recommend fusion peru!!

Cold canned chicken on top of cold mashed potatoes

Honestly was nothing like the reviews. First of all, the AC was broken so they had a big and loud AC unit in there. Whenever someone would open the door all the ceiling tiles would fly open. The two staff members were two young kids who tried but were a little unprofessional. The food took forever to come out. Tried the yukan fries and they were ok. My husband's burrito was not what he asked for and the beans and content inside just taste like it's from a can. I had the potato with chicken on top and I could of lived my whole life not trying that. It was cold. It probably was supposed to be cold but I wasn't expecting it to be. Honestly just tasted like canned chicken on top of cold mashed potatoes. Would not recommend this place nor would I return.

If you are in Bryan or College Station and are craving Peruvian food, I highly recommend Fusion Peru. It isn't that cheap, but it's somewhat affordable for its quantity and quality. If you want some real Peruvian food, try their ceviche. It's similar to the ones you can get in Peru. We ordered their Ceviche and Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos. Their ceviche tasted fresh; it was strong, but not overwhelming, in flavor. The Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos was just a higher-end version of Chinese Fried Rice. I think it's a bit overpriced, but for the amount of seafood you get on your plate, I'd say it's worth it. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and kind. Our waitress made sure we always had our refills whenever we needed them, and I'm telling you: she was VERY attentive. It wasn't difficult to find parking, although, there are some days where you may find a bit of trouble. It's not too bad, though. Overall, would I return? Yes, just to have the taste of Peruvian food again.

Fusion Peru Restaurant has great flavors and Maria was so friendly!! I ordered the Tallarin a la Huancaina which was a Peruvian style pasta with beef. It was so flavorful. And you have to order the passion fruit juice too!! I will be back. Excellent place.

Our service was great and the chorizo fries were AMAZING. I also got a soup which was very huge and it had a little too much seafood flavor for me, but a lot of people are into that.

Best Tamale I have ever had. Customer Service was great. Deliscious. I'll be coming back to this place with the wife.

The beef empanadas were delicious and the addition of a light sprinkling of powdered sugar was inspired. Added a whole other profile to the fried goodness. The causa was a new item for me. Think tuna salad and mashed potato casserole served cold, but as a light and refreshing dish, with some crema on top. This would be a perfect dish for any backyard mixer or bbq. The plantains were perfectly fried, soft and sweet and savory and crispy.

When I found this food truck on Yelp with a perfect 5-star average, I knew I wanted to get here soon. After several weekends in a row of not making my way over, I finally got a chance to experience it. The verdict: it definitely hit the spot, but I do think I've had a bit better. The meat was seasoned well and the flavors were on point, but I think the super thick cut fries is what I didn't love. They were a bit much - I'd prefer a more standard size fry as the thick ones are a bit dry in the middle. But I definitely want to come back and try the paella sometime and will be sure to do so!

My apartment is starting to feature a different food truck every other Tuesday, which I think is…read morefantastic because we rarely get an assortment in Spring. Wanka Peruvian was first on the block! The food truck guy was friendly, and the food came out in less than 5 minutes. I wanted to order a few dishes from them, but I restrained myself and went with the 1/4 rotisserie chicken with fries. The menu we got said it came with a salad, but there wasn't. In its place was rice. So, rice and fries. Carb on carb. Lol. Rotisserie chicken: Very tender. You can taste the rosemary seasoning on the skin. Otherwise, if you're just eating the meat, there's no flavor. I made my own dipping sauce with Hellman's mayo and spicy ketchup from Whataburger. Rice: I guess the rice made up for the lack of salt or flavor in the chicken meat because it was salted nicely and cooked to perfection. Hard to tell if this was a long grain or basmati rice. I enjoyed it with the chicken. Fries: The fries were cut steak style and sprinkled with salt and coarse black pepper. The taste was AMAZING. When I first took a bite, I thought it was cooked in peanut oil, or maybe it was cooked with the yucca fries cause it had the same flavor. The portions were small for the price. I'm used to food trucks giving bigger portions. If they adjust their portions and seasoning the chicken (not just the skin), they have the potential to be a great food truck. I wanna try their lomo saltado and yucca fries next time. Check out their IG at wanka_peru!
