I love this place, I always come here! The plantains are not only inexpensive but delicious as well, they are soft and sweet. They come with a side of Salvadorian crema and red refried beans which are both super delicious. I also had the pupusa de loroco which is an edible flower that tastes just like greens. However, if you like meat I would definitely go for the pork and cheese pupusas. This place NEVER misses!

Delicious fajita steak tacos and spicy verde salsa that is hard to find anywhere else. Yummy!

Def give this place five stars, even though the owner and the waitress barely speak English. (But that means the food is very authentic right??!!) The seafood soup is so good. An inappropriate comparison, the seafood soup here is only 9$ and taste much better than the 20+$ seafood ramen broth. There're a huge crab, 6+ shrimps, 3+pieces of fish, clams, and lots of other great seafood in the soup. And it's so cheap! My friend ordered pupusa which is also very tasty! And I'll def come back next time

A treasure to come across. Saved location on to my maps immediately! We had the Tamales de Elote with crema (Corn Tamales) appetizer. 2 dishes and we will be back.

I finally had a chance to check out Tienda La Union after eating at Centro American and wanting to try out more Pupusas. I visited Tienda La Union after dropping off my car at Siegert's Radiator Shop a block away and needing a place to eat breakfast. It was only 9:30 in the morning and I was glad to see the open sign for Tienda La Union was on. When I went inside most of the lights were off and the owner's son was playing on his laptop but once I told him I wanted to dine-in he turned them on and grabbed me a menu. He explained it was Salvadoran food and I reassured him I knew what I was doing. I had the Horchata to drink - different from Mexican Horchata but still very good. For breakfast I had two Pupusas, one pork and cheese and one cheese. They both came out hot and delicious. I really need to go back to Centro American right now to compare and contrast their Pupusas with the ones at Tienda La Union. Both restaurants have comparable pricing but Tienda La Union gets points for having a working air conditioner while Centro American gets points for having a more friendly owner.

2.5 stars. I went to this restaurant for lunch on Friday. The restaurant is empty. We are the only table. We ordered fried tilapia, fried pork chop, fried pork bits and share pupusa. The only good things is the pupusa. The rest of the food we dont like it.

Pupusas were very flavorful and filling same for the gorditas. A little bit more cheese that I like but excellent.

I got a cheese pupusa here, and it was AMAZING. I definitely recommend. I am excited to try more of their foods.

We were lucky to find a table when we arrived, but there was only one gentleman working in the dining/cashier. I saw many customers coming in but eventually leaving as they were never greeted by anyone. The food took very long, like 35-40 minutes. However, the pupusas we had were so delicious! For the price, it was very filling and I really enjoyed them. It's a great spot, but I'd avoid on a big game day.

My wife and I each got two, and I would have ordered more if my wallet wasn't screaming, "No more, please!" I'll definitely be coming back just for pupusas to go. Those things might be my new food obsession. The plates we got were okay but nothing amazing. My wife got three loaded chicken tacos, and I had the fried chicken with plantains. The chicken was a bit dry, but the plantains were really good. The waitress was super nice and explained some of the menu since it's mostly in Spanish. Without her, we would have been totally lost. Also, the menu is huge, so we took a while to decide. The place itself is small and crowded with tiny tables, but that is exactly the kind of vibe you get at an authentic Salvadoran restaurant. The chef (and owner?) checked on us a couple of times, and you could tell he really cared about us liking the place. That kind of attention is rare. It's a bit pricey, especially for lunch. So like I said earlier, your best bet is to get a bunch of pupusas at $3.49 each. Honestly, three or four of those would have been filling enough and cheaper than the big plates. Bottom line: Pupusas are the real stars here!

The papusa plate comes with 3 and also comes with a traditional cabbage salad and hot sauce. They offer multiple flavors. Regardless which flavor, they come very large and cheesy compared to most papusas I've tried. Very large portions. You get what you pay for here. Also the flavor is pretty good also. A bit bland, but comes with toppings and sauces that fill in what ever bit of spice or tang your taste buds desire. As I was waitinwaiting i saw others get their food and i could tell it was also delicious. Especially since every one destroyed their food with serious haste. So did we. Customer service was pretty slow i cant lie, but not too slow. I think the server was helpi g make food in he back so she would onOK.come out from time to time... until a nother worker showed up to help. Then we got a bit most service. The interior wasnt fancy, but it was clean. No bugs. Alao they didnt offer water, we had to order it. I feel like a lot of hispanic restaraunts ive been to have been like this. Im not a fan. Prices are darn cheap tho so they get a pass. I recommend this place and woold come back. Nothing special here so i wouldnt say come for a special date night. But to some plan old good and cheap food for dinner or lunch, this is a great spot. Parking is OK. The lot was pretty full when I arrived but the restaruant was only 1/3 full. I'm guessing the other establishments in this mini strip mall had customers also.
