If you haven't tried it, you need to. My wife and I just moved here from out of town and we were nervous about the trying this place because we LOVE Peruvian food. I didn't want it to fall flat and be disappointed. It didn't! The Negative. Lets start out with tHe honest. The interior needs help. It needs more vibrant colors, better decor, maybe even dim the evening atmosphere. The other negative hurts the place, it doesn't have alcohol. It would do well to have a simple wine/alcohol menu. Fusion restaurants often go with local breweries but this did not. Just a heads up. It has both tables and booths. Can fit both large and small parties. One dining hall area. BUT the food was on POINT! It was incredible. All my favorite flavors were there. We tried the Lomo Saltado, Cevechi, and the Arroz Chaufa de Mariscos. I would get each plate again and again and again. Get the Saltado with beef. That will honestly be my next plate. I really can't rave enough about the food. The staff, extremely helpful, extremely friendly, very accommodating. I was shocked that the place isn't just slammed. Their desserts are also amazing. We were given a Key lime pie slice that I honestly needed morE of, but I was too full because the portion size fills you up. I have never had Peruvian food until I came to this place, and to describe the food in one word: DELICIOUS. The beef was my favorite part of the meal. I've been there twice now. The owner actually recommended the lomo saltado when I first went and honestly her recommendation was spot on. The food tasted clean and home cooked. I then went again and took some friends with me; the owner wasn't there so the service wasn't super friendly like the first time- still very good. They loved the food and I loved the arruz chaufa that I ordered. The sausage, fried rice and everything meshed well together. If you're in mood for a home cooked tasting meal, I highly recommend this place. Also, make sure to ask for their green sauce, it makes the food taste even better! read more

First time eating there. First of all, they didn't have a lemon for my water. I let that pass since they just opened. Second, I ordered the Chicken Arroz Chaufa. They brought out pork instead. I told the waiter and he said no that's what the chicken looks like. He made it seem like I was an idiot when clearly it's not chicken. If you're going to charge $12.99 for a dish at least get it right. Third, the dish is supposed to have sausage in it yet it was hotdogs. Seriously? Finally, you have to get up to go pay for the check and the lady barely spoke any English. They never got to refilling my water nor anyone else's water in the restaurant. Decided to try out this restaurant as I heard good things. I ordered the salmon burger and it was delicious. Initially I wasn't sure if I'd like it because of the fried egg, but it was great! I loved the Peruvian spices and sauces in the burger. I also tried in the Inca Kola. Its got a unique taste; is different and not as carbonated as soda. I went there a lot when it's a food truck at Northgate. Can't believe they have a real restaurant now. My favorite is still the lomo saltado. But this time the beef is not as moist as it used to be. The sauce is still super good. Try to mix the sauce with rice you gonna like it. My friend ordered beef chaufa. Tbh, from the pronunciation and the taste, it's really like Chinese soy sauce beef stir fried rice (chao fan as in Chinese). The potion is huge. Loved this place the first time we came here, wobbled a little the second time during COVID, and on third try they've spruced up the interior, updated the menu and generally raised the level of their game. This is one of those rare times I wish Yelp allowed half stars. I really think this place deserves 4.5, but I have to give it 4. The only thing keeping this one from getting 5 solid stars was that they were out of the four dishes I really wanted to try when I came by. Instead of trying the Machu Pichu burger, the Aji de Gallina, the alfahores, and another purple corn based dish (I'm completely blanking on the name). So I ended up having to order tacos instead. Fifth choice okay. But it definitely tasted like a first choice dish. Going here is the best best thing to taking a trip down to downtown Cuzco to try all their delicacies. Food has always been exceptional every time I have come in except this last time. I ordered a steak wrap for takeout, and it was just alright. The meat was tough and hard to bite through. The wrap itself wasn't wrapped very tightly so when I picked it up, half the filling fell out. It was tasty but unexceptional. BUT the green garlic sauce it came with was really good. I recommend ordering extra on the side. It turned the bland wrap into something unique. But overall I would order something different next time. read more

First timers, very satisfied. Got the beef loma Saltido, beef arroz, and fish tacos (which came with the green sauce). Everything was delicious. The arroz is HUGE and will be at least 4 more servings. Green sauce is super delicious. The beef loma saltido was liked by everyone, including the kids. The "Seco de Cordero" was so salty - it was hard to eat - and I got sick the next 2 days for eating it. That plate was not fresh. I also tried my friend's​ plate "Lomo a lo Pobre" and the steak was no steak - it was some spicy and salty meat again - to cover the lack of freshness? both plates were so salty. Tried this place (and Peruvian food) for the first time yesterday. My husband had the beef Lomo Saltado and we both really liked it. I had the fried rice dish with chicken and we didn't like it at all. It was bland and they forgot to put the egg in it. When I pointed that out I got an "Oh, sorry about that.". The description indicates it has sausage in it but it has diced hotdogs instead. Yuck. Overall, it was disappointing, but I'll give them another shot soon. I ate here for the first time this week, and needless to say I will be back. The food here is amazing and has to be tried to be appreciated. I spent a summer in Peru many years ago and this place brings back many fine memories and tastes. They even had Inca Kola which I fell in love with when I was in Peru and is hard to get in USA. Peruvian cuisine is famous in Latin-america and Mr. Chunga has made a name as a chef catering diverse events around town. I am happy that he now has this place where we can taste his specialties a la carte. I also recommend his fabulous passion fruit cheese cake. I went here with my Ladies Meetup Group and we had an above average experience. I'm a vegetarian now and most of the items on the menu had met in it HOWEVER, they had a black bean burger that comes with cheese and egg. I got it without the egg but add Peruvian Mayo. The food came out within 20 minutes for 12 people. Everyone and I do mean everyone raved about the flavors of their food. My black bean burger was absolutely outstanding especially dipped in the peruvian Mayo. The texture was smooth and it was just amazing, I ate it in less than 5 minutes and I wanted another one. But I refrained. They also have several flavors of "ice cream/gelato" looking stuff. I got the dulce something or other ice cream. It had a weird gritty texture but the one I got was really good. I'm not a fan of that texture in my ice cream though. My only complaint is I wish they had more drink options. I will happily return here over and over. read more

Tried this place while visiting the college campus, which is right across the street. The staff in the food truck are very friendly and it was nice to see some fellow Peruvians in College Station. As for the food- WOW. the steak sandwich was huge and so flavorful. The meat had been marinated and I savored it until he very last bite. My husband the vegetarian had the black bean burger and said it was the best veggie burger he had in his life! It was a huge portion and was seasoned to perfection. My son had the chaufa rice and told me it was just as good if not better than any chaufa he had in Peru! The portion was humongous and easily fed two. Prices are reasonable.
