But, if you're looking for a place to get your hair done for your wedding day, along with your bridal party, this is the place!! I booked myself and my four bridesmaids in to get our hair done for my wedding day. Christina was very helpful with the booking process and recommending the amount of time we would need to get ready. I had my hair trial about a month and a half before the wedding when I was in town, and I was so impressed with my stylist. My hair was perfect on the first try, and she was able to bring my vision to life while tailoring it to my features. I was a bit nervous on the big day that everything would go smoothly and we would be on time. I had nothing to worry about. We were finished around 20 minutes earlier than Christina estimated. Our stylists were super personable, kind and fun. We decided to get our hair done at the salon, and you get mimosas and snacks, which was a really nice touch. Most importantly, everyone loved their hair!! I was so pleased that everyone loved it. Pictures looked awesome. Thank you Icon for making my hair look so perfect for my wedding day!

There is no reason given, and although I understand things happen and come up, it doesn't reflect well on the business if I can't rely on them to consistently make their appointments. Not to mention their own cancellation policy requires 24 hours in advance. Although I intend to return to get my haircut this time, I'm not sure that I will continue to come back if appointments keep getting moved like this.

Sadly that did not happen. Since I could not connect with her here I searched online and yelp for a place that could do something fun and had a great atmosphere. Adara is it folks! They have a great staff and vibe. It was recommended that I see Denise because I wanted to get some fun colours done (suggested by the gentleman who answers the phones, if I'm not mistaken he also makes a great cup of tea). Well, Denise is such a peach! She was friendly and informative right from the get go on top of being extraordinarily talented. I got exactly what I asked for! My colours were fushia, copper, violet and red underlights keeping my natural hair on top. She was really understanding when I got a phone call from a study I'm participating in- right when she needed to get the dye out of my hair. And also my SO coming in twice to check with our one month old (to see if we could pause so I could feed him). And after she trimmed my hair- I wanted to keep the length- and thinned out my over grown bangs she put only a light gel in my hair and some heat protectant spray. All of the products from the shampoo and conditioner to the heat spray smelt wonderful and the scents were easily identifiable. The products have a good enough die down that if you're sensitive, have a strong sense of smell or have sensitive people around you it won't be too offensive later. I might return to purchase a few of them because they really are lovely and my hair feels nice even after my restless sleeping habits... I mentioned the atmosphere before but it really was fantastic- the music was a playlist and was a genuinely pleasant mix- nothing too hard or exceedingly poppy. Also there was construction happening on the building which I hardly noticed. I did hear the front desk guy phoning people and warning them about that too- that's a business that's concerned with their customers relaxation! I would go to Adara again (if I'm in Edmonton) because it was an extremely good experience.

I had a fabulous Pedicure and Facial with Jill!…read more She was very meticulous in cleaning up my toes..filing, shaping, removing cuticles. The foot and leg massage was wonderful. The facial was another day. I've never had an Aveda facial and it was lovely. Very soothing and no overpowering scents. The back and décolleté massage was heavenly and even had an arms and hands massage while waiting for my mask to set. My skin felt very soft and silky. Highly recommend her! Thanks Jill!

One came back only because she had to move and this place was where her old clients were. She is now getting mental health from there. I personally am getting mental health help from the trauma I had received from working there. If you had an issue that you would talk to the owner about, they threw it over their shoulder and do nothing about the many of the issues happening throughout my experience working there. Having my own salon now, clients from there have come to see me, only to be upset with the final service they were given from the salon. Good luck with your service at Epic. Not worth your time.

There is no sign indicating where the salon is and with multiple floors and entry points, had my friend not advised me to enter from the outside lower level, I definitely would have been late for my appointment cause I wouldn't have known which entrance to use! The salon is really nice, very bright and clean with huge windows overlooking a river. There are about 4 stations, although there were only 2 stylists in when I went (12:30 on a Thursday). I wasn't really sure what I wanted, other than that I wanted a new colour for summer an something different done with the cut without going super short. I am very easy going with my hair, which stylists usually love- I like them to suggest what they think will work and look good. The stylist took a while to warm up to this concept and even seemed mildly annoyed at first that I didn't know exactly what I wanted. I was starting to have bad feelings about Hair Graphics at this point. After looking at the color swatches and pressing her for ideas some more she did open up a bit and finally got it- I needed her help. We picked out 3 colours and decided on a cute style and 2 hrs later I was walking out looking fabulous!! After we go over our initial hump, the stylist was awesome. She offered me coffee, juice, bottled water at least 3 times during my appointment and she gave a head massage to die for! At the end she wasn't pushy with the product (which I totally appreciate) an when I asked about a shampoo that they carry she totally recommended it but said that I could definitely get it cheaper at a well known beauty supply store - big points for the honesty. And lastly the price. Hang on ladies... Full head of tri colour foils, medium length hair, with a cut - $114 and change. Throw in a $20 tip and I was still out of there for under $150. I think that I have found my new salon. If I could give 4.5 stars I would. Points lost for the terrible lack is signage for finding your way into the place.

Cut and colour (Pink) appointment for a was for 2:15pm this Saturday. Very important: I'm a natural blonde. I wanted to support a vegan salon and was very excited for the appointment. Took an hour drive to get there. Boyfriend had to wait in the car due to COVID-19 restrictions (He said he didn't mind waiting the 2-3 hours for the appointment, he's good to me like that). Everything seemed okay on arrival. She cut ends off and started applying the bleach. She had to keep re-applying water to the bleach because it kept flaking. When I was placed under the heat, there was so much water in my hair that my hair began to steam: there's now a steam burn on the back of my head. Not comfortable. (Couldn't sleep last night and even warm showers are incredibly painful) I kept asking, "Is everything going to work?" She kept reassuring me that it would. Because the back of my head was burned, we weren't able to use heat for the bleach any longer and had to keep reapplying. This was about three hours in. She didn't really seem to know what colour to use in my hair or what pink would work. Maybe this was just a matter of experimentation, but it wasn't what I expected when I was referred to their hairstylist who was "most experienced with pink." It didn't feel like a very professional experience: I showed the colour I wanted, but she kept asking me if it matched... isn't that your job? Anyways. Two bleaches later and a few failed attempts at applying colour, and all I'm left with now is what you see in the pictures. Please note the extremely damaged ends that I'll now have to have repaired and trimmed down even further. I did not leave until 7:45pm. Please be aware that they understood that I was driving in for this appointment and that - again - they knew my boyfriend was waiting in the car (Though they did offer to invite him inside when social distancing was reasonable, which was kind). I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning, nor do I recommend you or anyone else go. I'd also like to point out their "no-refund" policy. After all of this damage? Seriously? How much do you think it cost them in bleach/colour? I'm paying for the hair-stylists time, which they spent damaging my hair instead of cutting and styling it. I should not have been charged at all. If a restaurant gave you food poisoning and said "It's okay, you can come eat here again next week," - WOULD YOU? No! I will be getting my hair fixed elsewhere and will not be taking up their offer to "fix" my hair. Truthfully, I did not want to have to post this review. It breaks my heart to have to call out an organization that supports my vegan values like this, but my treatment has been unjust. Any professional salon would have refunded this. Do not attend: 0/5.
