Future Analog was able to take my uncle's old Video 8 tapes full of family memories and digitize them into a various amount of formats. They gave me some .MOV files for my cousin's macbook, as well as raw files for him to edit. Along with that, they gave my uncle some .AVI files on a flash drive for safe keeping and all at his request, also made a DVD for him to be able to enjoy and watch much like he did those old video 8's. The service was fast and accommodated to our needs. We were even able to get the tapes picked up and it was in their care and returned safely in a timely manner. I was looking for a company who can digitize it, but many of them weren't able to dealing with it because didn't have appropriate equipment. I sent them 35mm color and black and white negatives. Lauren was very communicative in a couple emails. They did the work earlier than promised and the work was great. I purchased a USB flash drive from them for the files. They shipped it all back safely. I paid via credit card online. The only hiccup was I used UPS and they had to make 3 delivery attempts as they apparently were not able to delivery to the desk accepting the packages for some reason. They specifically said not to use US Mail as it gets lost in their zipcode/building. I would highly recommend them. I have 6 years experience doing my own 35mm film scans years ago with a Nikon Coolscan5000 scanner and no longer have it and used this service for negatives from 19 years ago. read more

This company is, in fact, as good as it gets! I recently asked Future Analog to convert a twenty-year-old PAL VHS tape to NTSC format and then transfer it to both a DVD and a Flash Drive. Lauren assured me that she could do the work and we trusted her. My online order was placed at the height of the holiday, so naturally I wasn't expecting exactly speedy service. How wrong I was! I decided to digitize my mom's thousands of family photos as a Christmas gift to her, and wanted to find a local business as I was anxious about the risk (and cost) of shipping so many precious photos. I found Future Analog through a web search and couldn't be more glad that I did. Lauren was incredibly friendly and responsive, and all communications were very clear. My project was quite large (we digitized close to 15,000 photos!) and involved removing and replacing photos in albums, so it was a gargantuan task which Lauren somehow managed to achieve very quickly despite it being Christmas time. I had movers transport the photos to and from the studio and Lauren was very accommodating about that process. She was also very clear and transparent about the pricing structure (there are differences for photos of varying sizes, photos that are in albums, edited files etc) so there were no surprises when the final bill arrived and the project was complete - unless you count the beautiful little hand-calligraphed box containing the flash drive with the photos, which Lauren personally dropped off at my apartment! My mother said it was the best gift anyone has ever given her, and has already begun packing up the rest of her photos and old home videos to send to Future Analog for round two. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else, and would unreservedly recommend them to anyone with a project large or small. read more
