Kim was so awesome! She introduced us to this unique craft spot and helped the kids create amazing har accessories with charms and this cloud paint thing. A great way to whittle hours away from devices and doing something together. The cutest charms ever! I tried to buy them and they don't sell. I tried to search online for the charms and cannot find.

Fun place to get creative. Price well and the staff was really helpful. Wasn't overly crowded with people. I made 3 magnets. The man working taped them down very well so they wouldn't move. Flew home and they were still in tack.

Arrived for my scheduled appointment and found the place to be cute. Walked in the young woman was sitting in the dark. Had to confirm they were open for business. Picked my bear and my colors. I feel I didn't really get to enjoy the experience because as the young woman was explaining the process she was doing all the steps for me. (Mixing the colors) I literally had to tell her okay I can do it for her to stop. Mixing the colors and pouring over the bear goes by way too fast. I was probably in and out within :20 mins. I decorated a 8" bear for $53.50 which included a tip. Bear had to stay behind to dry for a total of 3 full days.

Everything was amazing!!! They helped show up how to do everything and there were a bunch of different options for the crafts. Super fun activity for date night with my husband.

Was looking for a fun activity to do with my brother when he was in town visiting and ran into Fuzz Lab. It is a small space inside of TSAOCCA set up with endless yarn colors and even fluid bears if you're more interested in painting. We had such a great time. The instructor gives you directions on how to use the gun and you do some practice lines before starting on your design. You are able to choose your own design, draw it out and then tuft away. Depending on how complex of a design you choose, it can also be quite a workout! It took about 2.5 hours (with breaks) for the small rug and we loved our final designs! Great activity to do if you're looking for something unique to do in Austin!!

I love this place!! It's such a fun activity where you can learn a new skill. The session for my medium rug was three hours.and believe me you'll need those three hours. I thought we were moving pretty fast. But they come in and feel around to see if anything's missing or if there are any holes and you need to fill them up. They start you off with showing you how to tuft into a canvas before trying it on your own. They're there if you need them. Starting off I had a hard time putting in pressure so it created holes. They came and filled in the holes for me. On a Saturday they do get pretty full but there's enough staff to help you when needed. There's also a good amount of parking. I was pretty worried because in this area there's very little parking. But as long as you're a customer you're good to park. I'll admit it's more expensive than I expected. Online a medium was $68. But in person it's $98. So the website is a little outdated. I love my rug. It wasn't too hard to make. Just be warned it does get pretty tiring.

It was my first time rug tufting and I absolutely LOVED my experience! My friend and I came on a Thursday evening and we were the only two people in the class, which was great because we got personal attention from our instructor Sophie, who was so patient and helpful! A small rug from start to finish took us about 2.5 hours. You start off with projecting a picture you want to create on the cloth, tracing it with a marker and then using your tufting rug to make your design come to life. You finish by cleaning up the back of the rug, adding fabric and trimming the rug to an even level. Initially, I thought it was pretty pricey ($68/small rug without tax or tip) and thought it would be a one time experience for me, but as I was doing the project, I already couldn't wait to come back. It was so rewarding to see a projected image on a cloth turn into something you create by hand within just a few hours. I would 110% recommend Fuzz Lab for anyoneee who loves to get crafty!

Was happy to make a rug at this establishment but quickly became disappointed. Online states that they accept walk-in but once you arrive you are informed that they are not taking walk-ins. Highly disappointed because of the false advertisement!!

I've always had an amazing experience here! They have a lot of options- including rug tufting, pottery, and whipped clay designs! I've only ever tried to whipped clay but it is so much fun! They let you choose what to decorate- I've done the hairbrush and the phone case- they let you choose two colors of clay and you can use unlimited charms! The workers are super nice and patient and explain how to design patterns using the clay. They also do walk ins which is super nice, although for some crafts you have to make an appointment. I would say the whipped clay is decently priced for the experience of designing your own item!

I've always wanted to make my own rug! When I saw the ad for this place I was very excited. It can get busy and the wait can be long so definitely do this on a leisurely day where you have no time constraints. There's places to eat near by and stuff to snack on in store, great activity to decompress and chat with friends while you work on art! The staff is very friendly, encouraging and helpful. Great service and the prices are worth the activity.

FuzzLab was an excellent time and a great bang for your buck date. We walked out with a fully completed rug and enjoyed our time greatly. The staff helped us out in creating our rugs and even did fine trimming at the end. While we chose to do a medium sized rug, we did feel a bit rushed. One notable thing about this event is that there will be a lot of yarn fuzz everywhere especially post trimming the rug. My only concern with this is the yarn getting into your lungs so I would recommend bringing a mask to wear while this occurs. We were able to purchase a wonderful boba drink during our time for rug tufting which really made the experience enjoyable. I would absolutely come again and you will need to have a reservation. When we came, they actually already drew out the design we pre chose so we just learned the basics of rug tufting (they also gave us a lesson before) and they are around to assist you when you need it. I really really enjoyed my experience aside from being a little rushed and for my first time rug tufting it was amazing.

I went with someone else and it was both our first time's tufting. FuzzLab was such a beginner friendly experience and I highly recommend it. Before going into your class, you would text them a design of what you wanted to tuft and they would prepare for when you arrive to the session. When we first walked in we were waiting for the rest of the other people that were supposed to be in the same class. After 10-15 minutes of the scheduled class start time, one instructor took us into a smaller room to demonstrate how to set-up the tufting gun, details on how to have the yarn and switch it in and out of the tufting gun, safety tips, and tips on avoiding making holes into your rug. After they explained everything they had everyone go up and practice one by one and would provide us feedback and even guide us while we were practicing. Afterwards they took us to the bigger room where they had all of our rug designs printed and drawn out and pinned to the board we were working on. Whenever I needed help or I was stuck on something then I would be able to go and ask any of the 3 instructors present. While I was tufting, I encountered a lot of sharp pins in the border of the canvas The thumbtack-like pins used to old the canvas together kept falling apart and poking me in the hand when I was tufting which I wish they did a better job se. I did a medium sized rug with 15 colors on it and finished just in time before the next class started so if you have lots of colors in your design then be mindful of the time you have. Once you're done with your rug, the instructors will help you seal the back. I think that the price for the rug itself was very expensive but if you take into account the space, materials, and assistance the entire studio offers during your tufting experience then I would say it is a pretty good price for what you get overall. The only disappointing part was the low quality of the backing for the rugs. The backing wasn't keeping all the yarn in place and when I went home with my rug I ended up seeing that a lot of yarn was sprawling out. It was a bit annoying seeing and having to clean the yarn multiple times a day so I ended up pinning mine to a wall instead of using it as a rug instead. I have another tufted rug that I custom ordered online and the backing on that rug is much more different than the backing from the FuzzLab rug. I have attached an image of my customized rug versus the FuzzLab rug for reference.

I found some things I wasn't looking for, but that I needed and wanted. I saw beautiful pieces I wanted just for myself, like separate or broken jewelry pieces--a clasp here for a necklace or a link for a watch. Also, I recently picked up an old knitting habit and wanted to replace some old yarn. It was nice to see an area dedicated to yarn, other crafts, and other hobbies. I can say I really got lost inside the store, discovering so much. I saw some frames to purchase to make a gallery wall. So, I will say this: if you need to revise a place or restock on some office supplies, please come here. Or if you just need some ideas on creating a space in your home, come here; it's a place where anyone can get a lot of ideas and inspiration.

I was hoping to make more than just one small block and have different supplies like fabric for printing. It was very therapeutic to carve my small block. The class felt a little scattered - but it was a very easy going environment, super relaxed. Our instructor was friendly and encouraged us to tap into originality without overthinking it instead of looking up patterns or inspo on our phone. I really liked that. And she offered us all coffee, freshly made. You can basically come in to do all the arts and craft your heart desires, on a donation basis. Affordable and unique way to release your artistic side without investing too much in all the supplies and then an abandoning a hobby. I'd come back with a friend and check out a different class.
