My wife and I decide to cancel the appointment and find a more reliable landscaper. I don't understand the 5 star rating this company got when it can't even show up to appointments on time or at the very least, call to say he's running late. For someone who claims to be serious about their business, wants to "build an empire", and wants people "to give him a chance"- the lack of initiative clearly shows otherwise. My business will be going somewhere else.

They quoted a very low price, but now I see why. 2-3 days after the work started, they started coming late or not showing up at all. Could never get an estimate of when the work would be done to report to my landlord although I asked for days. I paid them money through cashapp and was told I'd receive a receipt/invoice. Guess what? I never did. Paid half up front and was asked for the other half upon completion. They told me the work was done so I paid. Shocker: the work is not done. Joseph and Maria didn't seem to communicate effectively or often. They ended up wanting to charge us an extra $400 for a second bid, even though all of that work was requested in the first bid. They left a machete sticking into the ground after they left one day, fully aware that I own dogs. They left the gate into my backyard COMPLETELY open as well one day. They left their equipment in my backyard for two full days. They also misunderstood we wanted a part of our hedges simply trimmed and REMOVED THEM ALL!!!!! now I have NO privacy in my backyard. They attempted to make us feel bad by saying they "didn't have enough money to pay their workers now". WHAT ABOUT THEM COMPLETELY REMOVING HEDGES THAT I DIDN'T ASK TO BE REMOVED?" They offered to bring "privacy tarps" for us. How about doing something helpful by FINISHING THE ENTIRE JOB. The lack of customer service and remorse is astounding. I still have all the roots along the fence of where the hedges are gone too, because the "removal" they quoted in my bid wasn't fully & completely finished. They left the roots to all the hedges along my back fence and now it looks like garbage. Joseph and his mate shared they are freshly released out of jail. They belong to stay in there and rot considering their scam of stealing peoples money without finishing the work. They also came into my house without my knowledge... Said they found a tennis ball brand new in my backyard and I didn't think much of it until I found it inside my house (in the master bathroom sink). As you can see in the screenshot attached, they FINALLY answered me and said that they will not be finishing the work and are fine with us bringing them to court. Also called me "dog", which conveys how unprofessional these people are... they told us multiple things in person and then twisted it and made us seem difficult later on. In conclusion, these guys aren't timely, can't be trusted, are not professional & wont finish the job. GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I am in the process of suing them for not finishing the work. Looks like the review before me had a similar experience as well. Formal complaint will be sent to the BBB and any other review site possible that these guys are on.
