Having just purchased a new home and getting a pool put in, I went into our landscaping project on…read morea strict budget ($6000) and with very few ideas. I initially asked 5 different companies to come out and give us some quotes and design ideas. Some had some nice ideas (but way to expensive), some took weeks to send out their bids, and others, well they didn't even bother showing up (I'm guessing because of our budget). Eduardo on the other hand, came out two different times (I'll explain later why) took measurements and sent us a bid, including itemized expenses and designs so we could visualize what our back yard could look like. The first time Eduardo came out I told him I wanted a walk way to connect our driveway through the side of the house and onto our back patio, landscape rock/gravel, some curbing, and an irrigation system (I was planning in on putting sod in myself at a later time). He came in right on budget. We decided to hold off on doing any work because I read in the pool contract, that when a pool is being constructed the pool builder is not responsible for any damage done to existing landscaping. Eduardo understood and never once pressured us or tried to get us to put down a deposit, this was in April. In July once were finally settled in the home and no more heavy equipment was going to be coming into the yard, we contacted Eduardo again to come to give us some new ideas. The idea for our lawn needed to change now that pool had been excavated and because the Mrs. wanted to have some input. This time we asked Eduardo, for stamped concrete to connect the drive way through the side of the house to our back patio, to build a retaining wall that could double as a gardening area, level, remove and haul away dirt from around the pool to add additional decking area, gravel, irrigation, curbing, and 300 Sq feet of sod. As you can see our demands doubled and so did his bid (rightfully so). We shared with Eduardo that our budget had not changed, he understood and instead he assisted us in determining what could be done first and what could wait. Ultimately, we hired his team to; complete the stamped concrete, build a retaining wall, and to level, remove and haul away dirt from around the pool, as well as add about 380 sq ft of additional concrete to the perimeter of our pool (the 380 sq ft put us $1500 over budget but we needed to do it so the pool fence could be put it.) Once we signed the contract (digitally) and gave a deposit of 50% (also online), Eduardo and his team went to work. During the entire process Eduardo stayed in contact, letting us know when his team would be showing up, what they would be doing and what we could expect. If you have ever had a pool put in you know their process is nothing like that. Anytime we had any questions or concerns, Eduardo was quick to respond. When we made last minute changes to the walkway, Eduardo understood made the changes we requested and gave us a new timeline for when we could expect the project to be completed. Eduardo reached out to us on 07/29 and told us our project was complete and if we had any questions. My wife and I decided to do a thorough inspection and raised some minor concerns and 1 major concern (crooked joint lines on stamped concrete). We took pictures of the issues and sent them to Eduardo, he thanked us for the visuals, so he could inform his team of what needed to be repaired and agreed to come out to our home to discuss the crooked joint lines. When we met Eduardo and his team, they took ownership of the mistake and did not make any excuses. The stamped concrete was repaired to their best of their abilities but it was evident that a mistake had been made. Eduardo agreed to give us a discount because of this mistake. Our project was completed on 7/31. The retaining wall and extra concrete around our pool is done and looks great. No project will ever be perfect and because Eduardo and his team took ownership of their mistake, provided great customer service, great communication and owned up and tried to correct their mistake I feel extremely comfortable giving them a 5 start rating and recommending their services. We are excited to continue working with them in the future.

I would not recommend AMS to landlords, property managers, or busy property owners. I was scheduled and billed for lawn service on July 21. My tenant later sent me photos on July 23 showing the lawn in very poor condition and asked what was going on. I contacted AMS myself and was told the crew had apparently been unable to access the backyard because of an issue with the gate. No one from AMS contacted me to let me know the work had not been completed, yet my card was charged the full amount for the visit. * Had to catch and correct a billing discrepancy myself. AMS charged me $195 for an "irrigation audit" and told me that amount would be credited toward the repair if I proceeded with the work. I approved an $880 irrigation manifold repair--and was then charged for both the repair and the audit. The promised credit was not applied automatically. I only received it after noticing the discrepancy myself, calling AMS, and asking them to correct it. * Expensive work with almost no follow-up. Despite spending hundreds of dollars on irrigation repairs and ongoing property maintenance, I received no meaningful follow-up communication or photos documenting the completed work. * Repeated requests for property photos were ignored. Because I do not live at the property, I specifically requested photos so I could verify its condition and the work being performed. The irrigation timers were apparently not checked, and plants along an entire side of the property were ultimately lost. At no point did AMS alert me that there was a watering problem. When the issue became apparent, I saw no meaningful effort to acknowledge what had happened, determine how it had been missed, or propose a solution. What is most frustrating is that none of these problems required extraordinary service to avoid. I expected basic communication when work could not be completed, accurate billing, reasonable documentation of expensive repairs, and someone paying enough attention to the property to flag an obvious irrigation problem. Instead, managing AMS became another job for me: checking whether work had actually been performed, reviewing invoices for errors, repeatedly asking for photos, and discovering property problems after damage had already occurred. I brought these items up with the Operations Manager over the phone and email and was consistently disappointed in their responses. For a homeowner who needs a landscaping company they can trust to manage a property without constant supervision, I would advise looking at other companies. No announcement of a business name or anything and you could tell she was on a cell phone out "running around" (not very professional). I wanted to get some curbing done and we agreed on a time for a Saturday at 3PM which she said was perfect since that's the day they did their curbing work. I was to decide on a curbing style and color and then call her back later in the day. When I called back she was unable to deliver the first 2 colors I asked for. We eventually agreed on my 3rd choice and then I could hear her talking to a guy while I was on the phone with her. She came back on the phone and wanted to change the time of the appointment. Since I had already scheduled other vendors to come to my rental I was unwilling. She then put the installer on the phone who again wanted to negotiate the time and move it to earlier in the day, citing it would be hot (duh this is AZ) and their would be a large gap between his last appointment and then mine. I explained my situation and said 3PM or nothing, and he said he couldn't do it. I said fine i would find someone else. He called me back shortly and said that his brother did the same type of work and that he could do the job and would deliver on the initial color I had asked for. I thought okay now we're headed in the right direction. When I went to my rental the following day to meet with the installers no one showed up and no one called. This is not a professional or well run company so I would stay away if you are looking for any work to be done by them.

I ended up paying another service to correct their errors and I'm still battling through the credit card company to cover my additional costs as well as the replacement of the potion of damaged fencing.

I paid $1,000 in cash as a deposit and an additional $2,375 via Venmo for materials at his request. After payment was made, the project was delayed multiple times. Only minimal framing work was completed, and the concrete pour that was scheduled never happened. Communication then stopped completely. I made multiple attempts to contact him by phone and text and received no response. I also requested a refund, which was not returned. As of now, I am out $3,375 with no completed work. I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring this contractor.
