Whenever I'm in Rochester, I make sure to stop here to get my fix. It is HUGE. You could easily spend a long chunk of time here perusing through their collection of records. But that's not all they have. They've got CDs, movies, books, vintage clothing, posters, and lots of great "gift" type items. They even have a little bar area that serves as a venue for musicians to play. The inside is quirky and everything I love to see in a record store. I really resonate with the posters they have hanging and all the random decor they have throughout the shop. The staff is super friendly and eager to help if you're looking for something specific, which is a plus since there's so much terrain to cover. Record Archive is definitely what I'd consider a top tier record shop.

I was able to get some albums that I listen to so I was happy. He also will order records for you. The prices are also very cheap he had many 1-3 dollar options there wasn't much over 20 dollars but it was mostly newer albums so it made sense. They have everything from concert tees, albums (vinyls, cassettes, cds), guitars, pedals, etc Some stuff you see in there just isn't preserved correctly though which is really sad... some stuff has been sitting in sun light so long and is so faded its heart breaking. They could definitely go through a lot of stuff to make some space in the clutter. I know that's part of the charm but it really makes it look like shit in there. I know I sound harsh but that place really is dope and is a true gem especially with the artists who have come through to take pics and play there!

My sister in law asked to help her track down two classics from when we were younger. I was nearly always a rock and hard rock kind of kid. I found Aerosmiths greatest hits and Def Leppard Pyromania! TSME took my call after I got back home to WA AND I got a them both from WA. A week later they're safely in my hands and awaiting my 21 year old nieces first play of them after Christmas.
