He accused me of taking pictures of the store to make a scam site online (I was just using my phone to zoom in on the small prices on the wall), and then while I was buying something from another staff member for the posted price, he interjected himself and repriced the item raising it nearly $100 while I was buying it (about 20% over tcgplayer price). The other staff member looked really uncomfortable, I asked him why he did that and he just walked away. I said forget it, went to walk out and another staff member apologized for his behavior, said he was having a bad day. There are a lot of places to buy cardboard, most of if not all of what they sold is cheaper online. I like going to a store and buying it off a shelf instead of on a website, but not if they're going to treat people poorly. There are a handful of other shops as well between tacoma and federal way. Again, the rest of the staff was great and I hesitated to even bother leaving feedback, but I haven't been back there since and figured I'd share so people know who they may run into when they shop there.

Selling to shops as a female is always a hit or miss of whether they will underestimate and take advantage of you. They seemed to think they could try to offer me $70 for hundreds of dollars of cards, including graded, numbered and autos. Dude took out 60 of my cards and didn't comp any of them, including graded and numbered and auto ones, then proceeded to tell me they were all each worth about $1-3 each spending about 5 minutes max going through them and not once comping cards to average recent last sold prices. Knowing that was extremely low and that they didn't comp like all other stores, I let him know I'd be price checking before accepting any offers, which I always do. Once I spent 30 minutes of my time checking the cards for recent last sold prices, and found half of them were worth $15-$80 EACH, and removed them from the original pile, I was told they were closing in 10 minutes and could no longer offer me anything for any of them. Wasted about an hour of my time total in that store for them to just attempt to completely scam me and then give me attitude when they realized they weren't going to be putting one over on me. One of the cards he quoted was a few dollars only I had just been offered $40 at a previous card shop and still declined because I wanted more than 50%. This place is scum. Not to mention, I am pregnant with twins and did not need to be wasting my time or having a grown adult stress me out and waste my time. Terrible business. Maybe the owner shouldn't own a shop if they don't want to accurately price match, so they can scam pregnant woman and then be rude to them when they don't allow it. I am the only one who price matched and averaged recent sales of my cards to find you were trying to rip me off for hundreds of dollars. They didn't price match ANY and went through a stack of almost 70 cards you pulled in 5 minutes then added up some BS $70 number in your head. Maybe this shop shouldn't be open if they don't know how to do business or average last sold because they just want to scam people because using those methods and offering 50-70 percent is the standard. They also replied to my google review acting like they did price match last sold and I was just looking on eBay when that is completely false. He pulled 60 plus cards and added up a number in his head and did not price comp them. I also went by average recent sold not current eBay bids. This store is disingenuous to the bone. Their reply also falsely accused me of coming in after their cut off time for selling yet still accommodated me, when in fact I got there 15 minutes prior and spent 10 of those waiting to the buyer to come back from break and I wasn't even told of them having a cut off time until the very end. Goodluck with running your business like that. Avoid this place. There are other store between Tacoma and my favorite RENTON that are genuine, runs by best practices of comping, and offers 60-80 percent. Westside Sportscards is a fraud.

They always checked to see if any customers, including us, needed any help looking for anything. They also give kids a booster pack as one of their regulars will come in and buy a booster box for the staff members to hand out a Pokemon booster to any young child that walks in. They also told me that the store is dog friendly as long as they are well behaved and on a leash. The store seems to be divided for those looking for sports cards and memorabilia and the other section focusing on TCGs such as Pokemon, Lorcana, Magic, and more. They have great stock of sleeves, mats, and other TCG needs. Additionally, they have plenty of tables and chairs for their TCG events.

It was clear from the beginning that he intended to resell the item in his store. After receiving it, he stopped responding and was refunded by Facebook. Leaving me without the item or any payment. We were greeted immediately upon walking in and felt genuinely welcomed into the shop. Great variety of comics and graphic novels, action figures, kid plushies, and other cool stuff. There was something for everyone in our party and that included a toddler! The store was very organized, and when we couldn't find what we were looking for we were quickly helped. The knowledge the staff had was incredible and it really helped make our experience so much better. The customer service is on point! I appreciate the honesty and transparency, and what also stood out if their willingness to help us find what we wanted. We were recommended to other local comic book shops as well, which I thought was pretty awesome to show love and support to other local shops in the area. Overall a great experience and can't wait to make this a regular stop during my trips to Seattle. Make sure to check out the $1 bins!
