This location is great. Great staff that is willing to help. I have given multiple PS4 games to them as I don't play them anymore and they appreciate that. This place has one of the best selections for XBOX and PS. Highly recommend. I think all systems are sold AS IS which is ehhh but not bad. read more

This store isn't too bad but they have some of the highest prices of similar retro stores around. For example, every SNES game is $15 at a minimum, and many are not worth even a third of that on eBay or other stores. The location they are currently in (apparently they are moving soon) is like a drug den covered in iron bars and in a filthy parking lot. I wouldn't bring my kids here, and I hope the new location is better. The main reason for 3 stars is because I went here about two weeks ago during their posted open hours only to find that the store was closed with a "we'll be back in half an hour" sign on the front. I made a special trip to come here and that really ruined my day. If they are going to close in the middle of the day due to not having enough staff, why not make those hours public so I can avoid coming when they are closed? This business has potential but they need to address randomly closing in the middle of the day. I might try coming back once the new location is open and will update my review accordingly, but I will call first to see if they are even going to be open so I don't waste another trip. read more

Great atmosphere and well-organized displays! Gamebound Videogames does a fantastic job creating a space that feels welcoming and nostalgic, with themed sections for franchises like Zelda and Sonic. The kiosk consoles set up around the store add to the experience, making it more than just a place to shop--it made it feel much inviting. I stopped by looking for some collector's edition PS4/5 items and had a smooth, hassle-free visit, and was able to find some things to bring home with me. While I didn't spend much time getting a feel for pricing and browsing everything, the store appeared to have a solid selection and was very well put together. A nice surprise at checkout--they were giving away Chinese New Year gifts! Mine had a foil Pokémon card and a dollar bill, which was a really cool touch. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Far and away my favorite retro game location. I have to drive pretty far to get to this place (I live a good hour north) and I haven't been disappointed yet. The staff is friendly. The prices are right. And honestly I just love the layout. There's whole shelves just dedicated to their respective IP's. Don't make here as often as I'd like but I walk away with a good find every time. read more

Went to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo this year, I saw their booth and found a couple of games no one else had. I was excited until I saw the ridiculous price, everything was double what it was really worth, I brought up 5 games valued at $160 and asked for a $10 discount, the person looked at me like I was crazy and said no. So I left and came back the next day. During the final hour of the expo I went back to their booth, I grabbed one game they had priced at $23. I offered $18 cash, the manager walked over and checked the price and said loudly in a mocking tone "Let's see the price, so $23, what did you offer? $18?! Yeah no way, I can do $22" I felt disrespected and others were near by heard and started to look my way. I've been to this expo for years now, and I have never had such rude people that wouldn't even give you the time of day, most of the workers sitting there didn't do anything. The manager who was rude was the only one who was "Allowed and qualified" to negotiate prices. If you come to a gaming expo and charge double than normal prices and get upset when people want $5 off, then they shouldn't be there. Overall I am not upset about the prices, I'm upset about how I was treated like I was less. 0/10 would recommend. Save your money and buy from a place that will treat better. read more

Found out about this place at Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Super friendly store with huge selection. The owner is very knowledgeable and also a collector himself. Store is well organized and easy to find stuff. A lot of rare items too. Highly recommend for anyone who loves retro gaming. read more

I drove up and down Washington state for retro games. Saw this on offer up (is not on google) made an appointment and was let in 5 mins later by a bothered employee. I picked a few items that I wanted, it had the prices on them. Only to find out from the cashier that all the pricing was supposedly wrong and wanted to charged me $5 to $15 extra for each items, he was comparing prices to ebay and calling the owner to get a higher price than what the sticker said. I only bought 2 cheap items after that. This was completely unacceptable and unprofessional, I will not come back and will be filing a complaint with the State and Better Business Bureau. read more
