Flami and her staff are the BEST! Flami has been doing my eyebrows for about 4 years and it's perfect every time. I have dark, thick, unruly brows and I have tried waxing, threading, and (over)-tweezing over the years which has always left me so disappointed. Flami was able to work with me over time to get the exact shape I have always wanted. She explains everything she does and why she does it. I see Flami about once a month now and feel so refreshed and confident every time I leave. People have commented many times that I have nice eyebrows and Flami is to thank! Flami has also done my makeup on several occasions which has honestly been the best makeup I have ever had. Makeup artists tend to pile makeup on my face and I never end up looking like myself. Flami understands the nuances of makeup application and really takes your features and personality into account. No one does my makeup better than Flami! Teia recently did my gel manicure and pedicure before my destination wedding which was all the way in Tahiti! I'm the type of person who ruins a manicure 15 minutes after I get my nails done. My gel mani/pedi lasted me over three weeks. Teia mixed the perfect colors for my nails; I couldn't have asked for better nail colors for my wedding. She was so meticulous the whole time. On my wedding-moon, I even went on a 5-hour ATV tour in the mountains and jungle the day before my wedding ceremony and my nails were still perfect. My nails also sustained a full day of scuba diving; a jet-ski tour; multiple swims in the pool and the lagoon; the beach; and the general long journey of traveling across the world! I was so pleased and impressed. And Melissa is a waxing pro! I had multiple waxes done for my wedding/honeymoon and she did a fantastic job. It wasn't nearly as painful as other waxes I've had in the past and she made me feel so comfortable. Right after my waxing, I had a facial with Melissa as part of my wedding prep and it was amazing! She really knows her stuff. A day or two later, someone told me my skin was glowing and said it looked like a got a facial! I will definitely be going back for more. Flami the owner seems great and professional. Prices are not listed anywhere. WWhich is interesting. A mani + pedi will run you $100. This is not your typical chain Asian owned nail spa. She obviously wants an upscale experience and decoration wise and service wise Flami gives that. Now the problem is is that Flami does not do the mani/pedi part and that part is just ok. For $100 I want more than just champagne [which was great] I actually do want a great mani/pedi with maybe a hot stone treatment and a good leg and foot massage. That is not what you get here. It's superficial and just nail shaping and cutting and painting. That should not cost $50. read more

I'm about 1 hour out from being in Flami's magical eyebrow chair of wonderment and splendiferousness. Please allow me to tell my tale of delight. For years and years and years I've been on an unending cycle of going to places to get my eyebrows tamed so I can look a little more polished, only to end up somewhere on the spectrum of Fire Marshall Bill (no eyebrows) to Groucho Marx (why a thick black wax to hide your jagged work?) And after each tragedy, I'd take a couple few months to grow them back out and repeat the process all over again. NO MORE. I happened upon Flami's website whilst looking for a new salon (because apparently my head has the same luck as my eyebrows) and given all the rave reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. Online booking was super easy, I got a confirmation the next day and got a text from Flami herself to confirm that the new transition location was okay. All good by me! I went in and not only is she absolutely stunning, but she actually CARES about what she does. She took time to walk through her process step by step, explained why she does/doesn't do certain things, etc. It was lovely. I felt safe. She suggested brow tinting (suggested, not pushed) and by the time she finished sculpting my little forehead caterpillars, I was feeling myself, so I went for it. I couldn't be happier with the results. So now, even though the rest of me is chaotic, my brows are more on point than they've ever been in life. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. As an aside, she's also a believer in supporting her local community and that was awesome as well. read more

I have been seeing Flami for six months now and will never let another person near my brows. After years of waxing and threading and finding "brow stylists" who do a great job the first few times and then take too much off or leave me uneven, I was ready for something new. I knew Flami was different from my very first appointment with her. She thoroughly explained what was going wrong with my brows (over-trimming amongst other things!) and shared her brow shaping philosophy in a way that was friendly, easy to understand, and frankly made sense! I loved that she walked me through her plans and what changes I could expect to see in a given timeline. She only tweezes - no waxing or threading - which gives her full control over what she is doing and really reduced the redness post appointment. She also took the time to show me how to fill and highlight my brows while they were growing in - and instead of up-selling me on a super expensive brow pencil, showed me a $3 gem I ordered from amazon! I also love that Flami doesn't push you to come every X weeks - she says to come when you feel like you need it, which varies from client to client. I can honestly say that Flami's work has transformed my face. I know that sounds like a big statement, but it's true. I feel more confident, even when I'm not wearing makeup, because I have thick brows that frame my face beautifully. I've also noticed that in between appointments by brows are significantly less "messy" than when I was waxing/tweezing. I wanted to share the love so brought my over-plucked mom in for an appointment with Flami - a quick color and shaping later, my mom was glowing and felt like a new person, which was so amazing to see. The cherry on top is that Flami is absolutely lovely and her studio is gorgeous. Frankly I would give her 5 stars regardless because her work is brilliant, but it's an added bonus that coming to see her is like a mini vacation. The salon was beautiful and Flami is very friendly, as previous posters already said. She explained everything clearly, but during the explanation I realized it was a lot of fluff surrounding simple brow tweesing. When she was done, my brows looked good, but nothing I couldn't do on my own. Overall I think you're paying for the atmosphere more than the product, which isn't for me. read more

I have been going to Flami for years and absolutely love her. She moved from a Georgetown hair salon to her own location on U and the place itself is awesome and so chic, I just want to hang out there all day. I get a brow maintenance every couple of months (sometimes I slip and go longer than I should) plus an eyebrow tint. I can't do wax or threading because my brows are so sensitive, nor would I even trust anyone doing that. I like that her tweezing a. Doesn't hurt b. Is very fast and c. Is always perfect. She is able to give my brows a shape that I never could/can when I tweeze myself. She listens to what I want and shapes the brows based on my facial structure. The tint takes maybe 10 minutes and Flami does a great job choosing the color that will look best-not too light and not too dark. The tint color lasts a couple of months, but I can go longer in the Winter when I'm not out in the sun and shorter in the Summer when I am. Flami is also incredibly accommodating when scheduling appointments, which is great on weekdays when I am coming during my lunch break. My Mom also sees Flami and came with tadpole brows but now they are full and beautiful. We are both lifelong customers! Love you Flami! read more

AMAZING BROW ARTIST! I visited this salon attracted by the outside -isn't is the most beautiful salon???- and Flami explained to me the work she realized, and that If I wanted her to work me my eyebrows, first step was letting them grow. At that time my eyebrows were super thin and I really believed that they had no solution, no matter what I tried. Months after I decided to give ir a try. -"What is she was right and my eyebrows have a solution?"- I thought. I was really tired of appearing in my beach photos like if I had no eyebrows, and really wanted to try not to go microblade them, at least not yet. In my first session, she took her time to explain me and educate me on brow' s growth. Then she took carefully hair by hair to clean them up, and I left the studio feeling like a different person, in just one session. Four weeks after I came back for a follow up and I did color too, which made a difference. I know, it is way more expensive than threading or waxing, but at least in my case it is so worth it.
