I had to fly into town unexpectedly which means my usual eye lash appt had to be rescheduled. I called around 9:30a, spoke with Sharon and made an appointment for 1pm. I explained that it would be a foreign fill. I do volume lashes. She said that was fine. Until I arrived.... I guess she didn't like me questioning how exactly a 2 week volume fill was going to cost me $165 (not including tip). My problem is not with the price itself. My problem is the number of inaccuracies she continued to spew when it boiled down to, she just didn't want to do the work. Language barrier or not, I made sure to reiterate, "so to be clear, it isn't that you can't do it, it's just that you don't want too..." and she said "yeah, no, I don't want to". So there's that. Considering I drove almost an hour and had to then rush to find another lash technician, I decided to sit in the lobby & do so. I mean, it's not like she was doing anything other than sitting and pretending to flip thru the schedule book. According to Sharon, despite them using "Xtreme" lashes, they wouldn't have my curl, length, etc. Make that make sense.

I've had my appointment be rescheduled from 8 Am on a Saturday to 10 to 10:30 Am to then rescheduled for 8 Am the following Sunday, all on the count of Bella apparently having issues with her son's flight. It's 8:42 Am and I'm here still waiting for Bella to arrive, apparently from the airport. I'm trying to be patient and keep an open mind as life can happen but it's not a good look on the business for the owner to ask to reschedule multiple times within 24 hours and still be running late to the appointment. The deposit is non refundable hence why I'm here. I very much doubt I'll be getting any discount or price reduction on today's service but I know I'll never recommend this place anymore for lashes. Monday's Update: I got my lashes done, but I was right as Bella went ahead and charged my card on file anyways for the remainder of the service despite cancelling and rescheduling all on her account. I've filed a dispute with my bank to see about the merchant refunding me the $82.50 as it didn't feel appropriate given this visit's circumstances with her lack of punctuality. I'm also not pleased with how the lashes look since I asked for a more natural, wispy look and she went with a more dramatic look. Regardless if I get my money back or not, and despite the compliments I get on the lashes, I will not be recommending this place moving forward.

Rather than the standard, massage table type set up, they have reclining, massaging chairs. They also provide you with a warm blanket and it helps create a relaxing environment. Before starting the service, they have you wash your lashes at their sink station. I can appreciate this because over the years, I've learned over the years, it is super important to have clean, residue free, lashes to ensure you get the most of your lash fill. Depending on your lash tech, depends on if they clean your lashes prior to starting the fill. I do understand it's a rather difficult task to clean someone's eyes will they lay down as there is no real efficient way to clean the lashes without getting water all over the clients face. Nonetheless, I'm sad there isn't a similar lash bar like this one where I live in Austin. I definitely plan to return anytime I am back home visiting.

I did research and stumbled upon Jennifer! I was quite nervous about the process, the semi-permanence of it and level of pain tolerance. I just didn't know what to expect but a friend had nano brow done and recommended it. Jennifer was very patient with my questions. We did a consultation and then I came in for the procedure. Her salon is clean and pretty. Like many, I was nervous with how dark my brows looked at first but trust Jennifer! They will fade after the healing process and get lighter. Then the brows really look natural. My pain tolerance is probably on the lower end and I thought it was overall tolerable. Some areas there was little discomfort; some areas on your brows there's more discomfort if it's a sensitive area. After a week later, I came back to do lash lift and I am so glad that I did! I am Asian and my straight lashes actually curl up now! No pain or discomfort with this procedure. Love the lash lift and plan to touch up every 8 weeks. About 7 weeks after my first nano procedure, I went back for the brow touch up session and another lash lift. Overall, I'm thrilled that I found Jennifer for my brow and lashes services!
