I scheduled the work around last November, as I wanted my deck to be refinished and looking good for the full 2025 season. The first days with decent weather in late April the deck was washed, and by early May the deck was finished. A crew of 2 worked a full day power washing and bleaching the deck and 2 sections of yard fencing. Every part of the deck was thoroughly cleaned, including areas not normally visible, and all areas of the deck that were surrounded by bushes. Within about a week, as soon as we had a few sunny days and warmer weather, a crew of three worked a full day sanding and staining the deck and fence. The deck floor was power sanded, and all other surfaces were hand sanded, before all sawdust was carefully blown away and stain was applied. Deck Doc did an outstanding job, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Communications regarding scheduling were excellent, work was done competently and on the days and at the times promised. I scheduled an appointment and had a quick reply with a meeting shortly thereafter. SEAN was awesome. He came out to take a look, and my deck hadn't been kept up all that well. He took a look and gave me his analysis. He provided me with options along with his recommendation. A few days passed and I received the quote. I called Sean to review it and he was looking out for me and ways to still do things right but not break the bank. We agreed to get to work. The guys arrived and started the repairs. I needed more repaired than initially thought. I knew it wasn't in great shape so I had expected that. We completed phase 1 and they basically rebuilt my whole top deck. It turned out awesome. Most recently they came to sand and stain and that really turned out great. My deck previously had the paint/stain. Because the people that applied that did so on both sides it caused major issues. It was a terrifying experience to be awoken in such a manner without any notification prior as a woman living in their apartment alone. His partner attempted to excuse this behavior when confronted. I feel violated by this inappropriate action that took place. My neighbors were around and it would have been much easier had they been the ones to get in touch with me, yet this contractor took matters into his own hands and terrorized me instead.

Luckily, my handyman got me in touch with Tim at LA Remodel. Tim and his partner Mike are great. They came out, we talked about what I needed done and gave me an estimate. The work they did was excellent and completed quickly. Since they knew I was on a budget they consulted any time something unexpected came up that would cost more or let me know if there were ways I could save some money, which is why I decided to paint the bathrooms myself and save some cash. I felt like Tim was psychic, I told him what type of look I was going for and all of the samples he brought for me to choose from were spot on. He even picked the faucets that I would've chosen myself. They were also really neat and clean; you get to one bathroom through my bedroom and you could hardly tell they'd been there they cleaned up so well on a daily basis; my rug was cleaner than it was before they started! Tim even called so he could return my cat's favorite toy, which they accidentally took when finishing the job. I thanked him from avoiding a potential crisis since watching her diligently search for it was pretty sad. You almost forget she easily has about 50 other toys she could play with.
