One of the doors has never functioned properly and has repeatedly come off the spool, requiring multiple repair visits. Eventually, the bottom panel needed to be replaced. Jamie agreed to handle the repair, and I paid more than $2,000 for the new panel and installation. After an extremely long wait, the panel was finally installed -- but the workmanship was unacceptable. The overlays didn't line up, were pulling away from the panel, and looked terrible. Rather than taking responsibility, Jamie blamed the manufacturer and promised to replace the panel. That was months ago. Since then, it has been excuse after excuse, missed promised dates, and poor communication. I was told the replacement panel would arrive this week and that I would receive a call. No call ever came. To make matters worse, the garage door came off the spool again this week, leaving me panicked and unable to safely use the door. I tried repeatedly to contact Jamie and, unsurprisingly, received no response. I finally had to call another garage door company, and they arrived within an hour to fix the problem. What shocked me most was that the technician immediately noticed serious installation issues with the original work. He told me the brackets had been installed backwards and questioned whether the door had been installed properly in the first place. Their technician replaced this spring with the same type (250 lb. x 32 spring), but he indicated that given the weight of the wooden door, a heavier spring should have been installed back in 2022. I have used this company twice and had nothing but good things to say about them. However, I…read morerecently experienced a problem with my door and called Samantha and she immediately tried to sell me a $349 tuneup package. I did not want to put that much money in the door at the time so I declined and that particular issue did resolve itself. Subsequently I had another issue called Samantha and again she immediately brought up tuneup package and fast talked about what it included mentioning the "motor". I don't know a lot about doors, but after having two issues I thought perhaps I needed a tuneup and was willing to pay for it. Clayton did come out that evening and found the problem within about 30 seconds, removed the part and was taking it with him and going to replace it. As he was leaving, I asked him if that was all he was going to do as I paid $349 for the for the tuneup package which apparently Samantha had not told him. He said and I quote "Samantha got you on that. Next time don't call her call me directly "' . You can interpret that how you want. 17 days later, they still have not fixed the issue and said their parts only come in every two weeks. BS. Interestingly, enough the first time I called them they didn't even have to come out but were able to get the part just by my description and it was installed the next day. they replaced a steel reinforcement beam that goes all the way across my door ( I was told during home inspection that I needed it). The charge was $150 which I thought was totally reasonable. The second time I had an issue I called Clayton directly on his cell. He came and saw a bolt on the floor that had fallen out he replaced it and charged me $50. I had no problem with that as a service call was involved. as far as the $349 tuneup when I told him o had paid for that he went out and got a tool and tightened my coils which I only have two, single car garage. he had also sprayed lubricant on the coiks and the rollers. Thats it $349. Samantha calls this "deep lubrication of all moving parts". I asked Clayton about the "full 25 point safety inspection" on the invoice and said he didn't do that. he told me he did. he showed me how to operate the door!!!!!!! I had a friend call and ask about a problem with her door. SAMANTHA TEXTED HER AND QUOTED HER $225 FOR THE SAME PACKAGE SHE CHARGED ME $349. apparently she is making up prices as she goes. This is the honest to God's truth. I do not publicly blast companies unless they engage in egregious, unethical practices and in my opinion, this company did that on this instance. I have only publicly criticized one other company again for blatant ripoff and when I did, on FB, others said they had ex the same thing. So you could take my word to the bank. DO NOT USE THEM. SEVERAL COMPANIES I CALLED AFTERWARDS EITHER DO FREE ESTIMATES OR MINIMAL THAT THEY WILL DEDUCT FROM TOTAL IF THEY DO THE WORK.
