I have a 1978 house, stuck in 1978! the Insulation in our crawl space was inadequate, falling out of rafters and due to plumbing leaks, wet insulation. Keith was completely transparent, offered a fair price, always communicated promptly, and the job went exactly as promised. I will have him back to do my attic. When Keith came out he spent half hour under the house, and sat with me to explain and discuss everything. He was the only one to point out the original insulation had been installed wrong side up and the R Factor was too low. When I told him someone else recommended leaving the "good" Insulation in place, and reusing any insulation (fallen) in good condition. He pointed out leaving it wrong side up/down was as good as no Insulation. I liked his honesty, and educating me and agreed to a quote. Keith called me as promised that Monday with his price. He would remove all the existing Insulation and replace the entire living space with the correct R Factor. His estimate was reasonable, his employee arrived promptly for two days, worked all day and completed the job as promised day two. Before leaving he informed me of a leak he saw while in my crawl space. If he didn't tell me, I would have a leak I knew nothing about. Called several companies to come take a look at a property in landover that I was doing renovation work to. It desperately needed insulation in the attic because there was barely any. Keith was very responsive and straight forward. Had multiple estimates and he was the most cost effective and was willing to work with our schedule. He came in the appt window he said he would come and gave me 30 min notice of him coming to the property which says a lot to me as a person who cares about their clients time. They got setup fairly quickly and whole process took about hour and a half. They tried their best to leave the same way they came as far as cleanliness which is good but dealing with insulation is never easy so I didn't mind the small cleanup. We are very impressed. Our job involved removing & replacing existing insulation in the basement crawlspace of our almost 150-year-old home. Keith responded quickly to my phone call and worked around our schedule to set up a Saturday appointment to provide an estimate. His proposal involved insulating between the planks supporting the flooring of the room over the crawlspace. He wanted to confer with workers about the best approach to some of the quirky aspects of our crawlspace and was still able to provide his estimate by noon on Monday. It was very reasonably priced/competitive and Keith inspired great confidence. Ultimately, we decided to take a different approach and do perimeter insulation with 2" rigid insulation, rather than insulating under the floorboards of the first floor. This was a more costly solution but seemed to fit best with our home's quirks. If we had used the more traditional approach that Keith offered, we would definitely have selected KO Insulation. As a side note, we were impressed that Keith took great care, including even donning booties to cover his shoes to make sure he didn't track anything into our home. read more
