We had a unique home project that required alot of know how and unique problem solving. Our home has cedar siding that has semi transparent stain, to maintain the beautiful rustic texture of the wood. Unfortunately, staining an older home with siding that was different ages (due to a remodel), presented lots of challenges. As the homeowner, we were not aware of the variables that affect staining. ***Don't Even Bother if You Have a Small Project*** I reached out to G&E Painting by emailing one of the owners, Ghideon, in an attempt to schedule an appointment for an estimate. I had a small painting project, basically just a garage re-paint/freshening. I contacted them around December 18th, and never heard back from them. At first I thought there may have been a delay because of the holidays, but Christmas, Kwanzaa and even the New Year all passed by and still not a word. It probably was too small of a project to make it worthwhile for them, but I was referred to them by a family friend of the business owner even, and you would think that would at least elicit some type of courtesy response, even by email to say, "sorry, your project is too small" or "unfortunately, we're all booked?" There are better painting contractors out there, just keep looking! read more

I contacted Gideon for a project to do some dry wall, texture match and paint match work so that I could mount a tv (with all wires behind the wall) and also do some other work to mount another tv in a different rooms. He specialized in paint but brought on other experts to help out in other areas. There was dry wall and texture guy, an electrical guy and people to help mount the tvs. Each portion of the project was done by one his specialist which was a plus. The paint match that he had wasn't an exact match at first but he was willing to go to another paint source and get the exact match. I had also originally mounted the tv a little too high but he had no issue coming back and remounting the tv to my liking. Him and his crew was very articulate in making sure all measurements were even. His prices were fair and he was very professional. After having him originally quote me for this project he said his work would be perfect and the job wouldn't be done until I was completely satisfied and that's what it was. I highly recommend Gideon to anyone looking for paint and other work from his company. He stands by his word and his craftsmanship. Update: After they completed my project I notice a crack on the wall and I called Gideon to come take a look at it. He was very professional and said he would take a look at it and fix this issue no questions asked. The next day he had one of his workers Robin come and repair the crack. We used G&E painting last July 2015. They came and gave an estimate and were accommodating when we decided to have wall paper removed too. They were quick and efficient. We had the exterior trim painted and on the interior had wall paper removed and painted and a bathroom and bedroom painted. During quote the owner told us he could refinish the bathtub so we did that too. Overall love the paint job and couldn't be happier. The tub refinish didn't hold up within 30 days and so I had to call back, but Ghideon sent someone to fix it within 2 weeks and it's still holding up. read more

Two years ago we needed a painter quickly when we had to relocate our business. Ghede gave us a good estimate and loaned us a shop vacuum when i was going to go and buy one. The next day 6 guys showed up to prep our suite. They finished on time and did an excellent job. About 3 months ago we needed to change the color on one wall. Ghede gave us another good bid. A new gal Allison is running the office. She is amazing, answered all my additional questions that came up. She resent the invoice when I misplaced it. Two guys came as scheduled and did a very professional job. About a month ago we called Allison to get a bid on a deck and railing at our home in Rancho Murieta. Some people don't like coming out to Rancho Murieta because of the distance. Some people want to charge extra, But Ghede came out and emailed us a bid before the end of the day. His bid was actually lower than I got from a friend 2 years ago! I had to coordinate a couple things with Allison. She is detailed, through, and speaks with confidence. It is refreshing to speak with competent office staff. The guys that came out introduced themselves, and we're respectful of our carpets and put covers on their shoes.
