And waking up to an absolutely clean home was so easy and allowed this Maid of Honor to actually sit and enjoy my time with my friends and the Bride to Be. The first part of the class we all sat with our recipes and watched Maggie in the kitchen while she explained everything. Then we split into groups of 2 and tackled one recipe for each group. Our experience with The Tree and been great. We can order online and they will have the bottles ready for pickup that day. All of the various Oils and Balsamic's we have tried are excellent. We use them on many of our dishes. We always create a great Balsamic and Oil sauce to go with our pasta dishes and to dip our home made Focaccia. The two gentlemen that we've met at the store are veterans and they are both extremely personable and knowledgeable about all of their products. That section has been replaced with the Olive Mill's service bar. The retail shop has expanded - still the oils and vinegars that we know and love, but also other dry sundries like pasta, spices and seasonings. There's a little deli area with loaves of bread, focaccia, fresh cheese. And there's the spa merch - for soaps, balms, and the like. They still offer tours as well. The food is still outstanding. There is a lot of seating inside and out. But it does get VERY BUSY, so yes- during peak brunch hours it can be very hard to find a table. I don't go often enough, but love it every time I go.

I was looking for a fun date night and stumbled upon Taz's cooking classes, which all seem to focus on different Asian themes. Mark H. and I have tried repeatedly to cook Thai and Indian curries without any success, so I signed us up for the Korean BBQ night. Little did I know that we would be cooking a Korean BBQ FEAST. We cooked for about 3 hours. Each recipe independently seemed manageable, but who eats a single item at a Korean BBQ? My favorite dishes ended up being the Korean potato salad and, of course, the meat. At the end, we sat together family-style and devoured massive quantities of delicious food that we'd all cooked together. Looking back on the night, there were so many recipes and tips and tricks that there's no way I can keep it all straight. Luckily Taz sent us home with a mini cook book of the recipes we had created! One of the biggest pluses of his course is that he focuses on the ingredients and where to find them - turns out our curries probably weren't going so well since we were getting all our ingredients at Fry's or Safeway. 10/10 will go back again for another night. Can't wait to learn how to cook a good Thai dish!

We purchased this knife 2 months ago and kept it in great care. Hand washed and kept it in a…read morededicated padded drawer. It chipped cutting some meat (bones). Sur La Table said they would not help and we had to go to the manufacturer. The manufacturer wanted us to pay in full for repair, plus shipped of the knife before they would look at it. This was a premium knife that wasn't cheap and the support from Sur La Table is disappointing. An almost identical knife is available at Costco and I wish I had purchased it from them instead. Too late I guess. I will never do business with Sur La Table again.
