We had been really struggling with our 15-year old AC unit for some time and contacted G&S after receiving a great referral from a neighbor who had purchased from them. They did not disappoint from the first point of contact to the actual installation of our new AC and Furnace system! Jesse came out and inspected our old unit, offered reliable recommendations on what was needed. We had received quotes from several other AC companies and all of them had conflicting and confusing information, we needed an immediate solution and we got the answers we needed from Jesse! We asked a million questions to make sure we understood everything and he answered them all, honestly, and very professionally. In a matter of a couple of days, the technicians' Ray and Spencer came out to install the new unit. These guys were terrific, friendly, cleaned up, and were responsive to Covid-19 guidellines, masks, and all! They walked us through setting up the new thermostat programming and checked the operation of the heat and the air to make sure that everything was working properly! Thank you Bo @ G&S Mechanical for the service. This company gave such a great AC service that although I do not write reviews (anywhere) I decided I wanted to share my experience. (First, I am a tenant at a complex so I did not hire them, nor would I as I don't know who has what contract, and only the complex can approve the work, so for all that I cannot speak to price. But, I can say that if a complex doesn't move to fix your AC immediately then that becomes a code violation.) Bo was extremely knowledgeable from many years of hands-on, good-ol' hard work. He was also very thorough, making sure to get the job done right by installing a new closure (with a cover!) and then additionally sprayed the area with insecticide. Done, and done right. He took pictures and showed me the before and after, which was really awesome and great to see. And, at the end, he said that he was going to give some instruction to the property management about other things that were not up to his standard. Technician: John. Meant to send this earlier. Called G&S Mechanical biased on a neighbors recommendation. Great customer service and setting up an appointment. I have had a couple of issues with my AC an a technician was sent out. 1st time, he got the issue resolved and we were up and running. The second time, I told him if he could get the unit cooling for one more season that would be awesome. Guess what, he was able to get the unit cooling and limping along. He was completely honest and stated the repair could last one week, one month or the rest of the summer season. He also stated that I would probably need a new system next summer but maybe this would make it through this summer season. I told him I understood. I must mention, the unit he was repairing is about 20 years old. The technician's name is John. He has come to the house 2 times and was always professional, friendly and knowledgeable. From the fair bidding process done by Gabriel, to the prompt notifications from Jackie in the office, to the extremely hardworking and professional work performed in 100+ degree attic temperatures (end of June 2018) by the G & S employees replacing old flexible ductwork with metal ductwork, I must say I am totally satisfied and very pleased with their work ethics and finished product! They came early and stayed late and installed the ductwork within two days. The men never left until I inspected their work and when they finished there was no trash left. The company also carries workers' compensation and liability insurance and provided a discount to veterans. I called G&S when I came home from work and my house was 95 degrees inside. I checked for obvious issues that would cause the AC unit not to work, and then finally Googled an AC repairman in my area. I called for after hours service and Jesus was here within 30 mins. He came to the door with his equipment and wasted little time getting right outside to the compressor. Within 20 mins of his arrival I felt the cold breeze of the air conditioner blowing. He came back to the door explaining that he had serviced my compressor and replaced a capacitor (that he thankfully had available on his truck), showing me the part and explaining the failure. When I made the initial call to G&S I was certain that I was looking at a $3k-$6k bill and instead my bill was $160 for everything. What a great surprise! Before Jesus left he patiently explained the need for annual service and offered to take my information and have someone contact me to set up the first service call. Bo was out here multiple times checking on my families AC unit and when it finally quit on us, Bo came to our house at 9pm doing everything he could to make sure our 83 year old parents had AC throughout the night before the new unit could be installed. Gabe was savvy and honest. Top rate. AC was not cooling and I suspected blown capacitor, but figured GS could replaced it faster than I could even locate one. I agree with Gabe that the blown fuse and capacitor is probably indication of a bigger problem. We may need to replace unit or compressor in the future but let us try this for a while. He did a complete inspection and even recommended I clean the coils on the back of the unit that were clogged. Previously I had used GS four years ago when we purchased our house. We had an awful smell when the AC ran. After using 3 different companies, Jesus at GS found a dead squirrel tucked under the ductwork in the corner of the attic. read more

We called and got same day service which we were super thankful for because it was the hottest day yet of summer. They showed up (wearing a mask which was not only polite given the precautions with Covid but also showed they cared) and within a minute of telling them what was going on they shot into action and found the issue within 5 minutes. Replaced one part and had our ac kicked back on! They were really friendly and seemed to really care about us getting good service...he even took the time to clean our unit outside to make sure sit flow was working right. Been using G&S for a few years now. Always reasonable. I included them in pricing a new system as my existing coils were shot. I price compared and they were lowest when comparing apples to apples since they used better equipment when you reviewed what they proposed (Trane in my example). There were others a little lower but proposed lesser equipment. They were not pushy and answered all my questions as I do research before making a major purchase. They even went out of way to minimize any unnecessary impact to me. 5 ton air handler was big but they found a way to fit it in attic opening. Replaced entire system in a few hours. Recently I encountered issues with my Heat and Air-conditioning unit. I have now twice utilized G and S Mechanical to resolve my ac/heat problems. The service tech, Jesus, showed up today 1.5hr AHEAD of schedule (which was fine, as they knew I was home). Same day, ahead of schedule. Jesus was then quick to diagnose the problem, which was with an intermittent circuit breaker for my household electrical. A breaker that I had checked myself and had determined that it was "good". Last year in August my AC went out. G & S Mechanical installed a new system. Gave a reasonable price and did a great job. Eight months later decided to sell my house, had an issue with one of the vents having low airflow. Called G & S they came out next day. Cody took his time to check everything on the system.
