We crawled around for a minute with a flashlight looking at how bad it was underneath, and they estimated $2000, and estimated they would be done by lunch the next day. Well, they called me at 2:30pm the next day to say that it was done, and they had just come back from getting it aligned. Total charge was $2017, including an exhaust pipe clamp they helped order for me and put on, the work looks great, the truck drives great, and they were friendly too. To summarize: If you have light, medium, or heavy duty truck or hydraulic equipment you need fixed, I would say it's worth your time to have them take a look and give you an estimate. In my experience they were professional and courteous in communication, they were patient explaining things to me, they were pleasant to chat with, their shop is big and well lit and well equipped, they did excellent clean work right on budget and right on schedule as promised. That my friends is the mark of experienced professionalism. In the shop they had everything from large commercial pump trucks, to diesel pickup trucks like mine, to a small souped up Subaru getting some work done. The location is a bit hard to find, as some GPS will take you to the apartment complex behind them. I had a check engine light on my brand-new Ford E350 Motorhome. I initially returned the RV to Camping World, where I purchased it, but they told me it was a "Ford problem" and that they were backed up for months. I then tried Fremont Ford, Sunnyvale Ford, and Mission Ford, but none of them could figure out the issue, despite the Engine Code PO453 indicating an evap leak. I was also hesitant to take my motorhome to a non-Ford repair shop because of warranty concerns. As an RV owner, I couldn't in good conscience take my family on long trips with the check engine light on. At C&E's recommendation, I contacted Ford Warranties and was informed that only Fairfield Ford could work on my motorhome, but they were also backed up for months. Frustrated, I filed a claim to have the vehicle repaired at a non-Ford location, which led me to C&E Trucking. C&E correctly diagnosed the issue as a faulty evap sensor. Unfortunately, the sensor was tied to the fuel system, which required a more extensive repair. They completed the work, and after two years of driving with a check engine light, the problem was finally resolved. This experience taught me an important lesson: big corporations like Ford lack the "local, family-owned business touch" that makes a difference. Their large-scale operations and mass hiring practices often mean their mechanics aren't as skilled or attentive as those at smaller shops.
